This performance is 50 yrs after they first released this song. Icons! The drummer is John Bonham' s son. John was the original drummer who passed away.
As old as they are here...in their 60s...STILL the greatest!! YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO ALL THEIR SONGS! The drummer here is the son of the deceased original drummer John Bonham. Yes Whole Lotta Love is Zeppelin! Yesthey used this in Godzilla. Immigrant Song is on Thor Ragnorock...School Of Rock and one of the Shrek movies.
This is a hell of a place to start on your journey with Led Zeppelin (if you choose to go on one). This is close to 30 years after they broke up and 50 years since they first recorded it.
JPJ is playing two instrumental parts (keyboard + bass with his feet) the drummer is in 4/4 time and the others are in 3/4 time ...amazing....this was the encore of the concert

@Lambertsikkema Those are bass pedals, same as they have on an organ. Anyway, not bashing on him but it's not as special as people think. The church lady does it too. She's not JPJ. He can play just about any instrument you hand him though. Truly gifted. People just view bass pedals wrong, is all. Most who play a piano will have no issue using bass pedals.
I can't even begin to describe what Robert Plant's voice does to me without being banned from youtube.

Well, when I saw LZ in concert in 1974, my boyfriend said "It sure smells musty in here." Then we saw Page and Plant in 1994, and he said the same thing! He does have that effect on the ladies!
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
This is a true banger! As you young guys say. 😂 Led Zeppelin are the rock Gods. This is one of my personal favorite songs of theirs.
Such a great song from Led Zeppelin, incredible to think that it was originally written in 1975, nearly 50 years ago! It sounds just as fresh today and this was a great concert from 2007, the sound quality is amazing, what a fantastic riff. Thanks so much for your reaction. 😊😊

@@candacemay7187 Yes, same here, I just hope they're okay, been watching some of their old reactions!
This is my fav song from Led Zeppelin! This Celebration Day version is amazing with Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son playing the drums. I wish I could have been there but at least we can watch the videos. I grew up listening to these guys and this song is so special to me and actually saved my life. Thanks AR for a great reaction video!
Led Zeppelin one of the best groups ever.
Hi Anthony! As always, Love your reactions! Thanks for brightening up my day, once again! (This is one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs!)🙂
This was played at every party in the 80s . Totally epic song to blaze it up with. ❤❤
This song, above all others, stands out after seeing them live in 1977. To this day.
This is a very sophisticated polymeter piece, alternating 5/8 and 6/8 time signature with a straight 4/4 in the bridge and middle. This is part of the reason why it's so hypnotic.
The Mighty Zep!
#1 band for over 50 yrs for me!! And I grew up in the late 60s and all 70s. So much amazing talent . I am still listening to those bands artists i missed . Robert Plants vocals are killer. He is still performing on tours AR. One he performs with is Allison Krauss. This video is after John Bonham died. The drummer is his son Jason Bonham.

I'm 64 as well...I have loved them since I first heard them in 1970!!
When tickets for this celebration concert went on sale, there were 20 MILLION requests for tickets in about 2 hours. There were only 20,000 seats at this venue, they decided to have a lottery, to make it more fair for those who wanted tickets. Since John (Bonzo) Bonham the original drummer & the greatest drummer ever, passed away in September of (1980), his son Jason is playing here. The original geniuses were/are each the GOATS of their crafts, & together the GODS of MUSIC. Robert Plant lead singer & harmonica* Jimmy Page lead guitarist band founder producer mixer & editor* John Paul Jones bass guitar keyboards mandolin etc. & John (Bonzo) Bonham. The band lasted from August 19,1968 until late September (1980), they knew they couldn’t continue as a band without their friend & drummer Bonzo. Every album & every song is magnificent. Try studio of You Shook Me, 3 solos keyboards harmonica & guitar, along with great vocals & drumming. Live performances anything from Madison Square Gardens (1973). Try from Earls Court the May 25,1975 version of In My Time Of Dying. From Knebworth (1979) Kashmir* Achilles Last Stand & In The Evening. These music GODS put on 3 to 4 hour long concerts, being the only act preforming & not taking breaks. Yes their greatest songs are longer, & most of us don’t want them to end. Guitarist Jimmy Page, played the guitar for Godzilla, & yes Led Zeppelin played Whole Lotta Love. Robert Plant’s vocal range tone & textures are out of this world. Another great live is at MSG 1973, Since I’ve Been Loving You. Thanks for your reaction, highly recommend doing more Led Zeppelin.

@@juliemanarin4127 I’m sorry, I’m sure that was heartbreaking for so many. I sadly didn’t even know about it, not that I would have won one, I don’t win anything.
The studio version of Kashmir is fairly long for a studio recording, 9 minutes, 41 seconds, but Zeppelin always jam a bit in every song. The1975 tour averaged 3 1/2 hours per show. You can't do that playing a bunch of 3 1/2 minute songs.

It would have been an undying memory to have been there. Also , The Pink Floyd Pulse concert. Damn
Yes. Jethro Tull actually used to be the opening act for Led Zeppelin when they started out. So, yes, they are from the same time period.
To listen to led zep for the first time. Your love immigrant song live. Everyone of there songs are an iconic rift

Absolutely!!
you just heard the band ever! 27 years AFTER they split because the drummer died. the drummer here is jason bonham, johns son!
Made me SMILE SO HARD when u mixed up Led Zeppelin with Pink Floyd 😂😂😂 No sweat dude, but these two are the Yin and Yang of Rock The purest brilliant bright WHITE VS The deepest darkest Black and anyone trying to argue one is better than the other is simply arguing Heads is better than Tails Definitely check out Led Zeppelin "Since I've Been Loving You" live at Madison Square Gardens 1973 Pink Floyd "Echoes (Part 1) live at Pompeii 1972 and then you'll understand. Zeppelin write about the relationships you have with OTHERS Pink Floyd write about the relationship you have with YOU ❤❤❤
LZ is legendary… huge catalog. This concert was sold out in less than a minute… over 20 mil requests for tickets for this one-time reunion concert. BTW, you might enjoy reacting to Robert Plant singing one of Freddie Mercury’s fav songs (Crazy Little Thing Called. Love) at the Freddie Tribute Concert.. it was quite amazing!!

I mean, out of all the absolutely amazing songs created by this ICONIC band, some considered the greatest rock songs in history, to suggest a solo Plant imitation - cover of Mercury as a starting point is so odd. WTH?
Jason Bonham did an amazing job filling his Dad's boots. John passed in 1980

He sure did. They would never have used anyone else!
This was them in 2007 (9 years after Jimmy paired up with P-diddy for the Godzilla soundtrack in 1998) and 30 years after they recorded the song.
The song is as long as the original.
Originally released in 1975 , This song was 8:30 in studio
Yes it was this long! I saw them in Chicago back in the early 70s. The band playing wasn’t as tight, probably because everyone was so high 🤣 but of course Plant was younger & his voice was even better.
the song isnt just a Juggernaut it's a f ing DREADNOUGHT!
His voice sounds much better in the 1979 recording at knebworth
What you are hearing is the drums in 4/4 time and the rest of the band in 3/4 time. So there actually isn't much simplistic about the instrumental part. Robert Plant just elevates with the ad lib and vocal solos in this song.
I’m so happy when This is reacted to…Still the Greatest. Too bad you can’t appreciate how great they are in 2007, in their 60’s.
I cant even begin recommending songs here, Ramble on and Black dog are bangers
The Led Zeppelin shows I saw in the 70s averaged about 3 5 hours.
REACTION TO AC/DC - Whole Lotta Rosie (Live At River Plate, December 2009............ (GREAT LED ZEPPELIN)
Yes , pretty much the same length. I feel like it anyway. I think this is quite epic too.
Yes same length give or take a few seconds
Jason destroyed that kit 🤘🏼
Take a break, darlin'!
Have you watched XG's Woke Up yet? You NEED to react to it! 😉
Original length 8:37
Yep a lot of the songs/performances were longer back in the day. Classic stoner tune! 😇🤘
Original song is like 11 minutes
Your dad has good taste in music from what you say

Should have started out in their beginning years. This is ok but not like back then.
Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda Done the Original with JOHN BONHAM on Drums 🥁 Otherwise it doesn’t count‼️ 🤣😂🤣💦❤🇺🇸
