Seen Kansas open for Queen several moons ago. Damn l miss the 70's.
Beautiful music. Yes we had better times, some of us were abused, some abandoned,, parent deaths, life still went on. Now you're in your room, this song comes on and tells you to " carry on, there will be peace when you are done." I don't think I need to say anything more.
Totally classic. So many great songs from Kansas. Dust in the Wind is probably most well known. You may have heard it already unawares. Steve Walsh is the singer.

@@albertchavez2693 No. That's Blue Oyster Cult. (my all time fav band)
Steve Walsh lead singer keyboards congas songwriter , Kerry Livgren on guitar piano wrote Wayward Son . Kansas are musical geniuses beloved worldwide filled stadiums around the world . ❤️👏⚡
Steve Walsh is the lead vocalist Great reaction. Funny how you mentioned sounding like church. The guitar player with the long blonde hair is Kerry Livgren and he wrote this song. He later became a Christian and left Kansas to form a group, a Christian rock band called AD. The bass player, Dave Hope joined him in AD. Kansas has so many great songs, before they recorded Wayward Son and afterwards. If you do a deep dive on Kansas and Kerry Livgren you will find many musical treasures.

Couldn't agree more!!!
It doesn't matter how many times I hear this song, I always get chills! Great reaction Pink 🙏♥️
Still touring celebrating 50 years.
These guys are master musicians, and the lyrics in their songs are usually profound and poetic. The vocalist with the beard, Robbie Steinhardt (R.I.P.), was a classically-trained violinist. Next, I recommend: "The Wall", "Song for America", "Dust in the Wind", "Miracles Out of Nowhere", and "Icarus (Borne On Wings of Steel)". In all of these you can hear his fantastic violin skills.
Great to see you back on KZread. Missed you.❤

Check out their albums Leftoverture and Point of Know Return
Steve Walsh is the name of the main vocalist/keyboardist/bongos. I recently added him to my top list of male singers! He's great!

The two bands with the deepest lyrics on the planet PINK FLOYD AND KANSAS. Welcome aboard young lady, I'm 61 just got my black belt in BJJ and I do MMA, I play this while we're choking each other on the mat lol.
This song is very complex and I love how it plays out like some biblical tale
This is great rock song from a incredible band & I just know u r going to love it enjoy your evening
you were my very first reaction channel years ago. i came across you listening and reacting i was like hey wtf is this?? u were listening to pink floyd , time and u teared up
Love your facial expressions. You are too adorable. I'm a lil jealous that I always knew this music and you get to hear it fresh out of the oven.
Carry-on My Wayward Son and a Roundabout will always be great classic songs in my eyes. To me nothings ever going to compare to the late 60s and 70s ! I know Roundabout by Yes.
Check out Dust in the wind!!!
A fabulous '70's prog rock band, very eclectic sound. Thanks for your reaction.
one of the greatest rock anthems of all time!!
You should watch the Canada Jam 1978 live version of this song on the Kansas channel. Phenomenal performance, especially Steve Walsh.
Kansas was the real deal. 🙂
Thanks for the reaction, welcome back 🙂 . I wish the radio would play the full version of this song too.
Well done. I'd recommend Miracles out of Nowhere next, and if you don't have the bandwidth for the whole Point of Know Return album, at least check out Sparks of the Tempest and Paradox
They are so talented. In fact the lead singer lives in the next county over from me. I would love to run into him. I remember listening to this growing up as a kid in the 70s. I love them. Listen to Point of Know Return. Great song
There other biggest hit is Dust in the Wind. It started as a picking exercise to practice. It is extremely a beautiful song.
love i was listing to prog rock before i knew it when i was a kid
Good to see you again Pink! I've loved this jam since first hearing it in the 70s! Good reaction!

Thanks for watching 😊🙏
Great to see you back!❤❤ This song is iconic to me, it'll be an earworm for a while and I'm really happy about it! I think its that Hammond organ laid over the top that really pulls it togther Awesome!
Back in the day when this was hot for some reason Kansas NEVER played in Nebraska. I lived there so a buddy and I had to go to Red Rocks Colorado(God's Cathedral). Very well worth the trip and a nice ride on a couple of Harleys with our girls. 300 miles each way with roughly $1 a gallon for gas on bikes. Hell yeah.😎😎 I've seen them since then with the new band members in Reno (Harrah's former outdoor venue) Still killin' it. I still have this LP./Album. "Point of Know Return" and "Dust in the Wind" are two other awesome songs from that era 45 years ago. They're still played on classic rock radio. "Surely Heaven waits for you"😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
So happy to see you back 🤗
The biggest song Kansas ever made! Class-Sick 15/10
You are one of the few reactors that can articulate your feelings and express intelligently what you just listened to. Always enjoy your reactions
Great reaction 🔥🔥🔥
♥
Listen to "Dust in the Wind" next.. that's LIvgren's other major song he wrote.
Great review! Thanks!
Awesome 👌
Hope you loved that. It gets even better. Beautiful job on the edit.😎🎸🎸🎸🎸.
Interesting you said it sounds like they're performing for their "last shot". Because according to some interviews, it was. Or else their record label would have dropped them or something.

Forever still sounds great.
Their first 7 albums are their best. Enjoy. Two of their most beautiful songs are "Lamplight Symphony" and "All The World."

Nice concept for a channel, i I like it. How may I suggest an obscure song to listen to? Great job Very entertaining
Great song and reaction, Pink! What I wanna ask though is, the art behind you's got great perspective. Is it yours? Nice work!
Where have you been, sweetie?❤❤❤❤
If you like this, that crazy monster band GWAR does a great heavy cover of the song...video is good too lol Peace from Pennsylvania ✌️
Love you pinkie. More please. Are still a RN ?

Because this is played before episodes of the iconic show ..monster hunting and Sam & Dean and just a great sound track of rock n roll hits from the 80's

@bickleyjonas6145 At the beginning of any big showdown episode, they would do a Road So Far montage on what led to that point. I don't remember how many times it was used over 15 years, but it was quite a few times. Edit: 15 times it was played. It was the music for the montage at the beginning of the final episode each season.

Haha you’re very lucky! How was the show?
Watch Dust In The Wind thank me later
Here's a strange song from 1969. The composer/singer said that the song wasn't about anyone in particular, but years later he admitted it was about an old girlfriend of his during the 1960s. Once heard never forgotten. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lGx-sctqoZjbl9Y.html
