I got addicted to Ren a year ago and I am still pulling stuff like his cover "Ain't No Sunshine" from 10 years ago...and every single hr long interview and his twitch casts, etc... He's just so damn good and such an unbelievable human.

Every reaction video is like seeing it for the first time. Every time. Nothing can make me happier. My counselor now uses me for new songs of Rens becasue she does a group therapy where the use music It’s been amazing and has helped me so much

You get to the end of the song and as Ren does so often he then breaks the 4th wall and says, "When HE gave up the fight, the decision he made stayed with me for the rest of my life. I miss you so." I have been telling everyone as well, chalk outlines has nothing on this... They stare into each others soul the entire song; that as well is not easy. Ren looks up to god when he screams out, "Where is my god where are you" 7:00. Also, I'm would assume singing this song; he too is thinking about Joe... edit: I tell you that you MUST (as a 5 year or long reactor watcher) watch Chinchilla - Fingers (live)... Do a live reaction! You will NOT regret it!

I'm glad you're using your position as a reactor to do good by spreading the love and awareness for Ren, and Chinchilla, and Ren and Chinchilla as widely as possible. Until a couple of months ago I had been pointedly ignoring any KZread suggestions about Ren, or reactions to Ren (probably just avoiding the hype out of spite). Then my boredom got the better of me, and I watched Hi Ren. I've had to start leaving a breadcrumb trail to find my way out of this rabbit hole. Great reaction... She's dropping her new EP soon as well, but she's got a back catalog few check out. Ren is a brilliant artist and musician who seems to be a talent magnet, from the members of his busking bands 'Trick The Fox' and 'The Big Push,' his videographer collaborator and friend Samuel Perry-Falvey, to the bassist and backup vocalists he used in 'Back on 74 / Message In A Bottle.' He knows when to use them as well, Ren can sing many styles as evidenced in his busking and on Back on 74, he seems to channel Bob Marley and Sting. Chinchilla's vocals though are just on another level, and he knows when to use her in their collaborations, from the acapella solo on 'Chalk Outlines' to her doing the vocal gymnastics to stick the landing in that round in 'How To Be Me.' The more works you see/hear from her the more frustrated you'll be she isn't Adele or Beyoncé famous yet.

You should also check out their busking duet of Marvin Gaye’s song “Sexual Healing”. Her first time busking 🎉

Chinchilla has been formally trained by vocal coaches, she's had a recording contract that fell apart during Covid, then like Ren she went independent for a while. Ren and Chinchilla consider each other musical siblings, Ren introducing Chinchilla to busking on the streets of Brighton, you can find some videos of them together. She stated that she was more comfortable performing at festivals and opening for Sting than busking. But once she got into it, Ren's favorite thing became one of hers. Her rabbit hole may not have been dug as deep as Ren's yet, but it is equally powerful. She's performed at large concert venues where Ren has done busking. She was enrolled in a creative artistry course at Metropolis Studios, run by the Academy of Contemporary Music. “Music is the best because there’s so much to do. You have like, fifty different jobs,” she laughs. “You’re doing fashion, graphic design, film and you’re doing accounting. At one point I was like, maybe I should just do a law degree so that I’ll have that.” She performed at The Great Escape Brighton music festival May 2018 when she was 23 years old. I believe there are two more ren/chinchilla tracks that have been recorded for his next (colab) album.

The harmonies and Chinchilla are amazing in this but every time when Ren says “When he gave up the fight, a quick decision late in the night, that stayed with me for all of my life, I miss you so,” 🥹🥹🥹 My friend took his life the about 6 months ago. It hits so hard.
