Chinchilla writes her own music (lyrics and composition), and produces most of them herself. She does work with other writers and producers on her projects when seeking a particular sound or to work with a songwritter she admires - for example, she worked with Grammy nominated Justin Trantor on her song MF Diamond recently. I suspect what you may not have realised at the time 🙂, but you've already reacted to a song where Chinchilla was involved in the writing - her collabs with Ren are co-written.

They were actually Ren songs that they reworked parts of, to make them work better as a duet. I would have thought that the subject matter alone would have made that clear. Ren's a nice guy and will always give generous credit to those he works with, often overly so. Follow the trail back and you'll find the author of the original version of these tracks is Ren, alone... Not to mention that he also did all the audio setup, arranged the pieces, provided live musical accompaniment, whilst singing beautifully and did all the production. Oh and directed the videos too! :) Ren loves Chinchilla and her music and it's easy to see why. She's a great artist in her own right. No doubt about it but let's drop the pretence that these were 50-50 collab's. She was basically a guest vocalist with a guest writer co-credit, generously given.

The entry having been placed by Ren's label (The Other Songs) and their management's, at the time, music publisher (Kobalt Music Puiblishing). - There are social media photo's of Ren and Chinchilla working alongside each otther on _How to be Me_ at the mixing desk. _Chalk Outlines_ involves another producer besides Ren. - On the release of both songs Chinchilla, Ren and their management at the time published launch day links on their respective social media(s) that link to versions of the songs on Sp0t1fy that credit both Ren and Chinchilla as joint songwiters and having joint copyright. It seems you deem those Ren works with as his inferior needing his _'generous credit'_ and _'often overly so'_ - be it Sam, Chinchilla, Molly, Eden, Goran, Romain, Glen or the others with whom Ren has collaborated. Yet in reality you have no real insight into the mechanisms of how Ren works with others, the creative process involved, or who actually wrote what in the songs. Indeed it seems you prioritise your own opinions above that of the artists involved, and despite what Ren (or any of the artists involved) have said otherwise that contradict what you claim. No one is taking away from Ren's artistry or his talent here, this is not a binary matter or zero sum game as you appear to be considering it. Both Ren and Chinchilla are extremely gifted and hard working, they seem to recognise this fact in each other as both publically state they are artistically very similar (musical sibling as they refer to each other). If you feel Ren deserves more recognition of the points you raise about his singing, musicianship and engineering talent then perhaps a positive approach of praising these aspect in comments rather than the negative approach adopted seeking to denigrate the other artists involved would be a more effective approach. You're final assertion of Chinchilla being _'basically a guest vocalist'_ and _'guest writer'_ who has had to be _'generously given'_ her status by Ren is purely unsubstantiated codswallop on your part to align with your own personal biases, and is frankly a disgusting statement to make as it's disrepectful in equal measure to both Ren and Chinchilla.

You gotta do Little Girl Gone studio vs the live and her newest song "1:5" (ratio of 1 to 5) live! The studio sounds just like the live so not really a comparison. But little girl gone? Pffst its as different as Rens studio vs accoustic. And it's the same for the studio version of "Fingers" and if you watch her official music video you'll understand why she's moving like that. They are just geniuses ❤️‍🔥🙌🏼

I love Chinchilla's attention to minuscule detail. I am sure her choice of syllables, in the staccato line "ONE - BY - ONE - I'LL - CUT - YOUR- FIN - GERS - CLEAN - OFF" was no accident ; there being 10 syllables as in ten digits on a human hand ( OK so the thumb is not really a finger but she's still gonna cut them off lol ) Also the line " Karma's coming back for you, and she's in the shape of me " is highlighted by the choice of Chinchilla's costume ( which she designs and makes herself ) to me, she is representing the strength of a woman who is happy with whatever shape she chooses to be ( rather than be told to loose weight by a control freak of a " partner " - that's my take on it anyway ) Her artistry, her vocal ability, in control and projection, as well as being able to deliver each word with so much passion and commitment, is awe inspiring. I would say Chinchilla is, most probably, THE best female vocalist out there in the popular music scene. She has an amazing understanding of dynamics in her song structure and arrangement ( That is why you commented on thinking it was a mediocre start - power hits so much harder when it is built up gradually - it's akin to a boxers continuous jab before the big overhand right 😂 That is how you deliver a knockout lol ) . She also understands the power of " visuals " having such a unique style and appearance. This is an amazing performance of a brilliant song. Great reaction brother, thanks for your sincerity ! 🙏

Great reaction.....It's all about the Crescendo with her during her live performances...she has a couple videos where she raps and belts. ("Cut You Off" video is dope with a great beat). Like Ren, she is dynamic and you can't put her in a box....In one of her new songs (Bounce Back) from her latest album Flytrap, she sings "Pick a genre....F*ck your genre" It looks like lots of music/artists are going in that direction. Shaboozey singing country music, Chinchilla and Ren making the game their own. My wife just found "Sleep Token".... If you haven't heard of them, find them and listen..I am not requesting a reaction of them...but when you hear Olafur Arnold influence and Slipknot influences in the same freaking song...kinda blows your mind.

Definitely have to check out her Little Girl Gone (Official) directly followed by her Little Girl Gone (Live Requiem) next. Then Elements.

Chinchilla is the unexpected... in the best possible way. She & Ren both tend to make live versions of their songs that are creatively varied enough... its worth reacting to both the studio & live versions: you risk missing out on some spectacular music, otherwise... Ive discovered.

She's #Special for sure. Some of her live versions are *re-workings* of the originals, so given that she doesn't do long songs, I recommend doing double-headers with studio product going straight into the live for immediate contrast. :) p.s. not sure what you're running the audio thru from the browser grab, but it's pretty badly squelched. Most folk seem to do fine with just letting OBS grab the browser video & audio for reaction vids as long as you check the audio levels to make sure it's not obvioulsy clipping etc.

Another great reaction. Chinchilla has a ton of unique and amazing music & performances - all original. By the way I think you have a technical issue with your sound. Your voice sounds good, but the videos are always phasing or cancelling out due to mic to headphone spill or something similar. Not sure if muting you mic while listening or a gate might help, or possibly the KZread routing is wrong but it would be great if you could fix it somehow. Thanks

I guess you're one of those people that only really appreciates a 'belt', lol. There's so much more to singing than that. I noticed this when you reacted to Ren and Chinchilla's duets. Ren was giving incredible vocal performances, full of beautiful nuance, tone and subtlety, yet you seemed deaf to it, only really being impressed by Chinchilla's showier and more powerful moments. Ren only got mentioned in passing, vocally, as 'their voices matching well, or 'the harmony'. Never mind that he wrote the bulk of the songs, did all the audio setup, arranged each performance, provided live musical accompaniment on guitar, whilst singing, beautifully and did all the production! Back to the vocals here, the big note was impressive undoubtedly but there was so much more to Chinchilla's vocal performance here, including right at the beginning, which you described as 'mediocre'! "Mediocre'? Really? Either you have no appreciation for great singing, unless someone belts it out, or you're tone deaf! This is a great performance, from beginning to end! Intense, yet full of subtle little touches of beauty and genius, that apparently passed you by...

I hate noise gates on vocals. Squashes the dynamics.
