Paul Rodgers is the lead singer. He was in Bad Company after Free. You should check out some Bad Company songs. There are plenty. I'd start with the song "Bad Company" or "Feel Like Making Love" to get a sense of their sound. Paul is thought to have one of the better rock voices out there.
EVERY party I ever attended as a teenager in the 70's finished with this song!!!!
The singer is Paul Rodgers and he then went to Bad Company.

The bass player, Andy Fraser, co-wrote All Right Now and also wrote Every Kinda People for Robert Palmer - a rare, philosophical Rock song.
Paul Rogers is one of the all time great singers. He was in The Firm with Jimmy Page and did a stint in Queen... Him and the drummer from Free went on to form Bad Company and had tons of hit songs. The guitar player died young and was considered Claptons equal in those days. The Bass player was a child prodigy and played with John Mayall in his early teens. I'm pretty sure Rogers was only 17 or 18 when He sang this. What a soulful voice He was born with.

Like Steve Winwood! You can hear the R&B in so many of those English kids who came of age in the 60s.
Classic 70s summer road trippin song! Love Paul Rodgers voice ❤
Singer = Bad Company!!! 🔥🔥🔥
The bass player was 16 and was their manager. What a great songwriter too. The singer is the tops in rock.
This was a very popular song when I was in Junior H..S. in the early 70's, it's got such a good beat to it like most music of the greatest era of music.
This song is still 🔥. You said, " free is new to me " you were correct. You're feeling how we felt then. They said ," we were not free," but we felt " free" and still live, " free." Our music was a huge part in feeling " free." Glad you got to actually feel that. Great reaction.
Paul Rogers ( the lead singer) is amazing, check out his Bad Company songs...they had a lot of hits.
My favorite guitar solo hands down! The most soulful, emotionally filled guitar solo ever. IMO.
"Free" has a great collection of music. Paul Rogers and other members moved on from this band to form the band "Bad Company", and the rest is music history.
Paul Rodgers was influenced by Wilson Pickett. Wilson went on to cover one of their songs "Fire And Water". They weren't one hit wonders in Europe. Maybe try 'Wishing Well', a hit twice over here in Britain.
I agree with your viewpoint that it has a funky vibe to it. A couple songs by Bad Company that I would recommend are "Shooting Star" and "Rock and Roll Fantasy". Love your enthusiasm for great music of all genres!
Paul Rodgers the lead singer is where the soul sound is coming from. Also, they are not a one-hit-wonder band. They had several top hits. Fire & Water was another big hit from them. Then the lead singer Paul Rodgers went on and created Bad Company which had multiple hits.
Paul Rogers also replaced the late Freddy Mercury in Queen at one point. Shon, I think you would also like the song "Wishing Well" from Free. It was a minor hit and receives lots of airplay to this day. Some find that tune better than "All Right Now."
Takes me back to my high school days to the Friday night dance we would have after the football games, I can see and feel being out on the dance floor, those were the best days and feelings!
They had several hits in the UK. Just dive into "Fire And Water" album. ANY track will do 🤩

Fire & water my favourite album of all time!
Even this edited version is rockin! Next, ya gotta check out Can’t Get Enough by Bad Company. Same singer, different band. ✌️
Great reaction!
All right now,Wishing well,My brother Jake, and A little bit of love were hits for Free in the U.K.
One Hit Wonder, bite your tongue, "Wishing Well" "Mr. Big" and my favorite "Be My Friend" just to start with. On this one though Andy Fraser's bass and piano solo are what make it for me as much as I love Koss's guitar work and Paul Rogers vocals
Shon, Wishing Well and Fire and Water are definitely worth listening to, a vastly underrated group this.
You still need to do Zager and Evans- In the Year 2525
Another fantastic song from Free is Fire and Water. Crank it up!
Everything Paul Rogers sang was gold.
This song is awesome, never gets old, even after all these years. Paul Rogers is one of the best voices in rock! Please check out some Bad Company, "Shooting Star" "Bad Company" Feel Like Making Love" are just a few of their songs that I'm sure you will like.
I really love this number. A real rock classic! 🎸🎶👍
There's a fantastic live version. This tune was used on a couple of big tv ads years ago. They have several big hits, including The Pusher.
Halestorm -"I Am The Fire" 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Free leads directly to Bad Company. Paul Rogers is an amazing vocalist.
I just can’t get enough of Andy’s bass❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤😊
Remember this song from 7th grade love it !
They have some great songs!
I get so much joy watching your reactions! I knew you were gonna like this one. You're always saying, "All right!!" The lyrics are fun, and oh, that guitar!
Wishing Well and My Brother Jake as far as 'singles' go were also popular. Tons of Sobs and Fire and Water after albums to have a listen to
Don't mess with those free fans
It was a one hit wonder and yet the band sold over 20 Million records over their career. Paul Rodgers is the lead singer and he went on to form 'Bad Company' which has a bunch of great songs. Some amazing 'Bad Company' tunes... 'Crazy Circles', 'Bad Company', 'Feel Like Makin' Love', 'Rock 'n Roll Fantasy' and 'Holy Water'. Another amazing one hit wonder from this same era is 'The Raspberries - Go All The Way' (1972) You will be amazed that it's their only hit. Cheers
Absolutely love your reactions 😊, if you haven't heard shooting star by paul rogers and bad company,, I think you'll like it, ✌️
You gotta listen to their Mr Big
You are such a joy. I know your Mom must be so proud of you!
I haven't heard this in ages.
Yeah this song is a jam you need to listen to Bad Company who the guy who's singing becomes the lead singer of they jam too
A sexy rocker from the woman’s POV! ❤ Rock on, Shon!!!
Heard this in a movie or something but didn’t know who sang it. This is one that just puts me in an instant good mood. Great reaction as usual 🙌🏻

Since you like this song you might like Bad Company. One of their best songs is the studio version of Run With the Pack. Good reaction as always.
Not the studio version. The last verse was left off.
Liked the vid today
I will add on to recommending the song Bad Company by the group Bad Company from the album Bad Company.
❤
This whole album was great. Then that was it. Then Paul became “BAD COMPANY”
I wanna see you check out Hardy. Start with "The Mockingbird And The Crow". From there, its a very entertaining rabbit hole.
Paul Rogers has lots of hits some people are haters. I seen bad company a couple times they're wicked🔥
Two words Bad Company. Great job man.
bruh I have a song you'd probably like because it's funny and funky at the same time. It's called "You're So Rude" and it's by the British band called The Faces. I know you've heard of Rod Stewart, and Stewart was in The Faces at the time but another guy in the band sang this song. It's about a guy on a date with a young lady at her house when her parents come home unexpectedly and ruin the date ("Why'd they come back so soon? Straighten your dress, you look a mess!"). Make sure you only listen to the version from the album "A Nod Is As Good As A Wink...To A Blind Horse".
Check out HOT Blooded by Foriegner!!!!❤❤🔥🔥🔥
It cut out a little too soon. Great song. Great reaction.
Watch the live version.
If you like this you should check out the James Gang "Funk 49"
Try Wishing Well and My Brother Jake.
Stranglehold by Ted Nugent needs to be in the future soon!
This is an edited version. Too bad you didn't get the original full length version.
Dude ...put on a shirt...just playing😅 just leep on keeping it real...Bad Companies Rabbit Hole. It be Deep and very satisfying ... Take a Dive🎯❤💪
Bro, pete and bas longthorne shotgun
This doesn't do and like the version I am familiar with. Does anybody know if there are 2 versions?
Edited cut - not the original grittier version

Actually I prefer this version. No fat, all lean muscle, clean and focused.
They are basically a one hit wonder but the lead singer and at least one of the other guys went on to form the band "Bad Company". Bad company had dozens of hits.
This is not the radio take, is it? I like this better, it’s a little looser and the guitar has slightly more flair. It’s kinda casual, like sitting on a stoop watching the girls go by.
Odd version/recording of this song...
Those who claim that free have only one hit song dont know what they are talking about.
not quite the original.....
This is a great song, but I would call them a "one hit wonder." Paul Rodgers (singer) went on to Bad Company and did a short stint fronting Queen, sort of. He is really good at the soul and blues stuff, but Queen's music was too eclectic for him. He couldn't do some of their songs, and others he could only do in a lower key.
