Stay out of other peoples countries, jarhead. Pretty simple. The US is an imperialist nation that likes to bully the third world stealing resources and propping up despotic regimes then cries like a baby playing the victim when there's backlash.

I lost friends in the war. Veterans in the US are not taken care of as they should be. The Vietnam War was a very black time in the US. Many soldiers came home treated badly. They were looked down on and yes many took their own lives. They could not find work, became homeless, and addicted to drugs. Of all the wars Vietnam Veterans, I respect the most.

As a veteran let me say thank you for reacting to this powerful video. I highly recommend another of their videos " Gone Away " which deals with survivors guilt. What makes things even worse is all the statistics in the video you just watched are from 2014 and things have only gotten worse. For example the video says one veteran suicide every two hours which is twelve per day. Currently that number is twenty two per day or almost one every hour. Love watching you guys, you seem like really good people. God bless and best wishes.

Your speech Phil goes right along with lyrics of Black Sabbath War Pigs you did recently - Politicians hide themselves away, They only started the war, Why should they go out to fight? They leave that role to the poor. Thanks Phil and Sam for doing this one.

I'm a 25-year veteran, pilot, Colonel. Every time I hear this song and watch this video I feel guilt, shame and sorrow. Not for something that I've done but for the struggles and solitude that is prevalent in many as they try to find their place in society and put their lives back together following their very honorable service. The lifetime sacrifice that many have made is really inconceivable. They worked incredibly hard, faced unbelievable challenges, endured so much mental and physical pain and served our country and its people to the absolute best of their abilities. I come to tears every single time I hear this and I am crying as I type. FFDP are such a strong supporter of our military and I love them for that (plus their music and message is so good). I post this video on my Facebook every single memorial and veteran's days. If you could, please don't just thank a Vet but try to help a Vet when able. It makes a difference.

It is a shame that a lot of our veterans are suffering and by right shouldn't due to the service and sacrifice they have made. I'm not military but come from a heavy military family. Everything I learned was from my family not school and education. FFDP is my top favorite band simply because they address this issue through their music and videos. I give support when I can and will help any vet that's in need to the best of my ability. And thank you for your service and dedication to this country..... just wish our government felt the same way 🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

5FDP is a band that doesn't just talk the talk. They're support of First Responders and Veterans is immense. The actors in the videos are real life veterans which adds another level of gut punch to the song doesn't it? I highly recommend Gone Away When the Seasons Change Coming Down Wash It All Away Blue on Black (specifically the collaboration with the original artist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Brantley Gilbert and Brian May. No One Gets Left Behind in where they rail on the ones who are responsible for the veteran crisis. One of the band members also started a non profit to help veterans collect all of the benefits they deserve. They also address topics like s*icde and mental health as well.

“Warriors aren’t trained to retire” has been the hardest thing to hear about these guys. My family is riddled with military. Both parents had parents in, uncle, multiple cousins, brother in law and sister, some saw more action than others.. when they’re in the saying means they’re trained to just do what they needed to, but after you “lose your prime” they give you enough to survive in a bare minimum minimalist lifestyle. As much money that’s given to a defense budget you’d think they could help these guys better but they don’t. They train killers for war, and when they can’t be that anymore they toss them like an old cell phone not thinking about the fact all they’ve done for years is kill for you? How are they supposed to transition back into the world when all they’ve learned to do is assess targets and take them out? There’s 0 transition, they get out and have to hit the real world where no one thinks about how much they owe this kinda person.

I love how this video also shows the juxtaposition of how people react and respond to similar trauma. The guy who got shot and put in the jeep obviously overcame that and appears to be successful, while the guy who was shot saving him, ended up homeless and on the streets. Same with the guy who was put in the police car, same unit tattoo as the policeman, but very different outcomes from their time in that unit.

There are so many great songs from 5FDP with powerful messages that you should react to...I wouldn't even know where to start. These guys do soooo much for our military. Rhythm guitarist Zoltan Bathory is a black belt in jiu-jitsu and judo, and a competing martial artist. He also trains police officers and military personnel hand-to-hand combat. If I had one reaction recommendation, I would ask that you do "No One Gets Left Behind". In the song, they are calling out the politicians and saying maybe it should be THEM going to fight. "Play your war games, with other people's lives....It should be you, on the front lines" Thank you to 5FDP for everything you guys do. And thank you Bars & Barbells for including 5FDP on your channel. Keep up the good work!

Both of my children fought for our country. One is okay. One suffers with ptsd. They did their job for us for our country. They did what was required. There is no help for them. They are trained to fight but they are not given the tools on how to reintegration back into the non combat zone. It was best explained to this way....we fight we protect but they never tell us how to to stop the fight. Like a vacuum we are there then sucked back into life here. We are suppose to shut it off. Some can some are still in this fight mode.

The lead singer Ivan Moody is a military veteran. Old men start wars, young men fight wars. The references are epic. The wrong side of heaven leaves us veterans in the moral quandary of Thou Shalt Not Kill if drives at your faith because a moral person has a problem with taking a life but on the righteous side of hell because God said you are forgiven for that kind of killing. They also refer to God as She and Satan as a He. I believe that by referring to God as a female it is a search for a deity that is more compassionate. When you have PTSD it's not a matter of becoming violent it's a survival mechanism and we tend to withdraw from human contact. You should also listen to their song Gone Away.

The politicians say they helped, but the veterans are not alive to count as statistics anymore. Please play gone away. This will explain why this is a battle we face with our lives and families. Alone. I am no hero and I am not made of stone. Love you for this enlightenment to the world .

Define “For the greater good”. I think that you’ll find that everyone’s idea of what the phrase means will be very similar. The huge difference shows up when specific examples are brought up for judgement.

You should also check out their song “ Gone Away “. Another war based song that actually has a lot of meaning to me. My cousin Bobby re-enlisted 18 yrs after serving in the Gulf War when his 18 yr old son enlisted. Because he wanted to serve by his side in Afghanistan . He was killed by an IED and the rest of his squadron. Representative Donnelly of Indiana did a tribute to him when they brought his body back draped in the USA flag . It’s also a video on KZread, search Robert J. Tauteris to see it. Such a heroic , tradgic story. RIP Bobby

This is a powerful song and really puts the neglect of veterans by the government into perspective. Another great song from them is Gone Away, a cover of a song by The Offspring originally. FFDP's music has a special place in my heart as it got me through some dark times in my life, massive love and respect for this band.

I am a 2-warzone veteran. I can trace lineage back to revolutionary war. My family has only missed out on 2 wars in his country's history. We can revolutionary, civil, WW1, WW2 Mexica Vs 1821 and Desert Storm, I was not of Military age. My son is in the Army. My other son well, wants to go to Maine Corps. Despite, my advice. He still wants to go.

Today is Veterans Day and i am sitting in the downtown Miami public library because i have no place to go .As well as the fact that mentally you could say my issues have issues and actions as well as dealing with situations that most take for granted . i myself began to struggle with after i ETS (Discharged) from the Army. On top of all that i come back to find that. We did the Unthinkable for a Ungrateful Nation and then they just forgot about us.... Isn't' it funny how everyone is thankful for your service til you ask them to make a sacrifice
