@@himebaughchris4026 Exactly. Ronnie isn't doing anything nü (pun intended). He's definitely one of the best however, and I'm glad so many people are liking this kind of musical style. For me, Linkin Park were one of the first ones to blend rap, metal and electronic influences together very well.

Other bands can blend genres together, but I've never seen any other band do it ALL with one vocalist . . . Ronnie is amazing!

I like 'I Prevail' also 'From Ashes To New'. I love Five Finger Death Punch & Shinedown, Black Veil Brides is another interesting one.

With how much you like genre blending I think you’d really enjoy Sleep Token; specifically Alkaline or The Summoning. Their entire catalog is mostly blending of different genres. Good stuff!

There are other artists doing this. Iamjakehill comes the closest to this song here, WtWB. His entire catalog is rap, then he adds metal. Other artists are infusing rap and metal together, like Fever 333, Bone Crew and Dropout Kings (DoK are my favorite so far for this specific style of music). There are many others, but imo, FiR is doing it the best!! And don't forget the artists that came before him that helped pioneered this blend of music, like Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine and even Limp Bizkit.🤘🏾

I think Ronnie is aware that it has been done before, and he wants to do it even better, because artists have been blending music like this since the '90s, the genre is called Nü Metal, and has an extensive collection of rap, metal and electronic elements intertwined within the songs. Linkin Park was one of the best to do this consistently. Iamjakehill mixes rap and then adds metal to his songs, while others are infusing it, like Fever 333 or Dropout Kings. FiR is doing it the best imo, and this specific song is definitely one of the absolute best in the genre!

Probably not coincidental. Ronnie and the drummer, Luke Holland, both said recently in an interview that they both like Drake. I see some head-banging going on, but not really obvious. I feel like I got a workout just watching and listening to this video.
