It boggles the mind that when Rob Halford came out in 1998, much of the metal world was totally surprised. I mean, look at him! Even in the late Seventies he dressed like someone out of the Village People. :D I think he's amazing and one of THE defining voices of metal, period. I couldn't care less about his sexual orientation, just to be clear. I just find it so damn funny that noone saw it coming when he made NO effort whatsoever of hiding it.

You have to get the FULL EFFECT by starting with the intro "The Hellion" (the tail end plays at the beginning of this clip) leading into Electric Eye (which you listened to), followed immediately by "Riding on the Wind" (the drum riff that begins at the end of this video). Halford's vocals on Riding on the Wind will slay you. Bonus Points, listen to "Screaming for Vengeance" from the same show (US Festival 1983).

You have got to watch the '82 Live Vengeance version of this song. That whole '82 Memphis show recording is my favorite recorded concert of all time! The whole show is awesome. Halford up in the lighting rig singing "up here in space looking down on you", walls of Marshall stacks...definitely Priest during their most iconic era.

And at the very end of the video he is watching, the drum intro to Riding on the Wind can be heard, so they def played it next live, as well. At least at this show, which was supporting the "Screaming for Vengeance" release. :)

So, if you have a request, I had someone (probably a Patreon, slumming in the comments section) inform me that Alex's Patreon's have first call on ALL of Alex's requests. Basically, if you're not a Patreon he could care less for any of your requests. Now I KNOW, that Alex DOES get some sort of financial gain from his regular views, but those viewers are still just NOT THAT IMPORTANT to him. THREE WEEKS AGO, after the "Use My Voice" video I made a request for "Break In"That request got TWO HUNDRED likes. Alex has not done a reaction to that song yet. So that's where his regular non-Patreon viewers stand in his estimation. Pretty sad isn't it? How about it Alex? Is it really that hard to make a reaction video for your (unfortunately, non paying) fans? 0__0 👍👍👍

@@AHVENAN It's not a single request. It's a request with TWO HUNDRED likes. Look at it as TWO HUNDRED requests for the SAME song. It can't POSSIBLY be that hard to make a video that TWO HUNDRED people want to see. I find it VERY difficult to believe that making a video is that time consuming or complex that he hasn't been able to make the time to do it. Hey Alex, I saw Judas Priest in Buffalo NY in 1981. We were walking into the concert, my buddy had a bong on him, got caught by security. Security guard says "I understand", see me here after the concert and you can have it back. Now this is a concert with 26000 people at it. Sure enough, we went back out the same exit and he had it waiting for my buddy!!!!!!!!!!! Didnt ask us if we had wacky tabacky going in, he knew!!!! That was how it was back then. Imagine seeing Priest live, when they were young, and concerts were still wild to go to.
