Another song from the Early Dimash is his peformances of "The Diva Dance" - there are 3 : the one from this same concert, the one from his appearance on The Singer 2017, combined with Italian rock song, "Confessa" and then my ultimate favorite. He sings it at the Spring Festival break while working on The Singer. He does it as a duet with Li Yugang, a male star of the Beijing Opera who specializes in the female, "nandan", roles. They combine the Chinese Opera classic "Drunken Concubine" with "The Diva Dance" in a way that will BLOW YOUR MIND !!!

It was Han Hong, who wrote the song. I thought there were two children, I was mistaken.

Thank you. This is a true story. A 2 1/2 yr old boy was with his parents on a overcrowded cable car. It broke loose and the parents were able to hand the boy off the cable car before plunging to their deaths. Han Hung, a well known singer/song writer in China, heard about it and adopted the boy. She then wrote this song from his point of view. Dimash had heard this song and was deeply touched by it. He got permission from her to sing it on 'I Am Singer' show. Dimash ended up very ill and lost his voice. He had to get throat injections and was able to deliver a very moving performance, though in great pain. He immediately lost his voice again right after performing. Soon after that show ended, Dimash gave his fantastic concert in Bastau. He clearly is not ill while performing 'Daybreak' here! This is an incredible and moving vocal from Dimash. I can't imagine anyone else doing this anywhere close to what Dimash did in this performance. Jaw dropping.

I really like Dimash's performance of Daybreak from I am Singer with backstory. That one is more raw and you can feel the pain emanating from his eyes in that one. This Bastau performance is more technically perfect...just perfection 🥰🎼💕

“Daybreak” - At his first concert in Bastau: This song tells the sad story of a Chinese boy (Quon Yan), who along with his family, suffered a cable car accident in Xingyi city in Guizhou province, where many people died, but the boy's parents held him up with their hands and he survived, though the parents died. The song was written and composed by the boy's adoptive mother (Han Hong) and Dimash sang the song for the first time in Mandarin on “The Singer 2017”, but he had a sore throat and sang through injections. The doctor said that if he sang high notes, he would never sing again... He sang! Then he made this wonderful version, already cured, at his show in Bastau!

On The Singer 2017, when he sang this while very ill, he had no voice before and had to have 5 injections into his throat. He said it didn't help when he got back to the studio. But, he had to perform. Somehow, his voice came back just before his performance, which he said felt like singing through broken glass. After, the doctor berated him for singing high notes. He told the doctor, "These weren't my high notes." For three days after, he had no voice again, but he did recover fully. Bastau was in the same year, but after he recovered. Also, Dimash first heard this song when he was 10, and it made him shake with emotion. It had been special to him since then.

All those aspects of performance coming together like you describe; that's all him. He's a master of knowing how to use these element to elicit the desired effect and emotion and he's very involved in all of it. He doesn't just let the lighting guys do the lighting thinking it'll be okay. He goes over it with them and discusses his vision. He will guide everyone around him on the proper details.

Dimash first heard this song when he was 10 years old & it never left him. The story behind it & the emotion involved made him determined that he would perform this song one day. Fantastic Reaction!! The Concert at Bastau: After his amazing success in the Chinese show "The Singer" the Kazakhstan Government decided to sponsor this, his first solo concert!! Around 35,000 fans came to Astana, Kazakhstan from many different countries to see this fantastic concert in 2017. The song, originally written and performed by Han Hong (famous Chinese composer) is based on the rescue of an orphan whose parents lost their lives in a cable car accident, in which they lifted him to safety before the carriage fell. Han Hong later adopted the child and memorialized the incident in this song.

Id Die For the Wind in the Mountains. He sang this Armenian song live in Turkey last year. He had only only a day to learn it and wasn't sure he would attempt it....but he did.
