I met him at the airport in Dubai, he was alone and I said hi. He was so sweet and chatted with me for a few minutes and took a picture with me. This was the best day ever. Such a great humble human being.

Dimash has won piano competitions on a national level.

It seems this man is perfect at everything he does. He’s also handsome, kind, generous, humble and intelligent. Sometimes life just isn’t fair! 😍🥰

Dimash always says”I not drummer man” or “I not piano man but I’ll do my best. He says it the way I wrote it. He also says he’s not that good on the D’ombra. He’s so modest. When he was taking piano lessons his teacher said he kept playing by ear so that’s the way they went. Thanks for the cute video.

He won his first international piano competition when he was 5.

Since this video was created, I've also seen him take a stab at harp and harmonica.

Piano, harp, and marimba (which he plays at 2:51) are all related, so it's not difficult to transfer the skills. I've played all three myself.

He is a genius!! Dimash is playing the dombra with his younger brother Abilmansur, musician too, playing again dombra with his father Kanat and his godfather Lukpan Zholdasov, musician and guitarist, and playing the drums with his friend Jam Hsiao, in the piano, he is singer too. Dimash is actually very good at other things besides music. There are a lot of videos from China (TV featurings) where he plays different games and turn to be quite good. He also plays soccer very well.

A fun fact - dombra has ONLY two strings. I remember one performance (I will not remember, which one it was, even if u killed me 🤣), when one of the strings went off and he only played with one string. Nobody noticed!!!!! 😳😳😳 Later there were pictures of the damaged string!.... He really must be a genius 🤣🤣🤣

His entire family is musically talented. His younger sister sings, and has performed with him. His baby brother plays drums and perhaps sings as well (?) and of course, his parents are both well know singers in their home country.

Thank you for a fun reaction! Of course Dimash is musically extremely talented and has got rhythm and coordination and an absolute ear, so he can do a lot without having learned it. But he always focused on his singing and never tried to be very good in other instruments. He "had to" study piano (every singer has to do it), and he is quite good, but not professional, and he learned to play Dombra as all the kids in Kazakhstan do, and he uses his popularity to introduce Kazakh music and traditions to an international audience - and the rest is just for fun. Many Dears are so proud of Dimash that they love to exaggerate what he can do - and Dimash is definitely uncomfortable with it. Dimash is a hard worker, for his singing, and also for the many languages he is singing in. But he is definetely not naturally talented in speaking foreign laguages, he has to put much effort into it, he tries hard to improve his English to be able to communicate with his Dears and "conquer" the western music world. But it is not his talent and not his focus. I say this a true fan of Dimash. In my eyes, he deserves all the more respect and recognition for his efforts, precisely because not everything is so easy for him either and not everything falls into his lap. He is a fantastic musician and singer, he has got the most beautiful voice on earth, and above all he is a very kind, sincere, humble man with clear values and with both feet on the ground. That should be enough. That's why I love him. He does not need to be a superhuman. ;-) - Thank you, guys, looking forward to your next reaction!

I agree, that we should not exaggerate. But saying one plays only an instrument, when they are on a professional level is wrong as well. (What should I tell my son? No you don’t really play drums because you’re not a professional?) Many people play an instrument good but not great. I would never tell them that they can’t really play them. Plus I think the first 2-4 Instruments are the hardest to learn. I know a couple of musicians, who can play several really well. After learning a few you already know how to read a score very well (which is the hardest skill for me personally 😅) and you know how to transfer skills from one instrument to another. Here Dimash played the guitar and ukulele like a dombra. But who knows if he can also play them in the standard way. Transfering skills is also easy with languages. As soon as you speak one it’s easier to learn languages that are related. So to me speaking 4 languages is 90% as impressive as speaking more. And for me you don’t have to be on native speaker level to be able to have conversations in that language. You are right. ❤ Let’s not exaggerate, but also give him props, where he took the time to learn something, even though he is not as perfect in it. 😊 It would be totally unfair for us mortals if he were also a world class drummer. 😂

@@EllaSilentDragon 😉 I get your point. I don't know whether I take too much Dimash's point of view. Obviously we talk about HIM and not about children or other "normal mortals" who play instruments quite well. It's only the term "multi instrumentalist" that doesn't quite seem to fit, it is used to express that someone can play many instruments at the highest level, and that's just too much in Dimash's case. Otherwise any musician can call himself a multi instrumentalist because everyone can play a little bit this or that and can transfer to other instruments, even me. But it should remain an honorary title and retain a special quality... Well, in the end it's me who feels uncomfortable when Dimash is named a multi instrumentalist, and Dimash understands me well, he can empathise with me. 😉 Much love and peace, Dear 💜

@@monikadear3594 I see what you mean. And I agree partially. The problem is with the definition of multi-instrumentalist. 😅 Of course everybody starts arguing when people think of different meanings connected to a word. I myself don’t see the term as rigid. But I can accept your view. ❤️😊

He's not just excellent at everything music related, he's also quite the athlete /sportsman... check out videos showing strong swimmer, horseman, falconer, taekwando, soccer, etc. And a wonderful human being who loves his family, his country, and his God above all else. Is there anything he can't do?? He apparently can't cook!

Dimash is one of kind talent , he is such a genius when it come to music. Plus he is good at sports too. It’s so unfair how one person can have so much talent 😊

Fun reaction guys. In the video clips, the little boy in the green t-shirt was Dimash's younger brother Mansur. Oh, and whe Dimash was playing the piano at a show, the two people who sat in the chairs behind him were his parents. Then there is that crazy 3 men, 2 dombra playing clip. It was Dimash and his father at the right end, and his uncle or godfather or his father's best friend in the middle. It is very obveous that Dimash came from a very musically talented family and who completely encouraged and supported him.
