He's also singing in a language he doesn't speak. Truly pulls at your heart strings.

Dimash is apparently tough. His voice was gone right after the performance. Incidentally, he once went through a whole concert while sick. It was his concert in London. It was too close to cancel and he went on stage with pain and fever. He later said that his fans' energy helped him feel better over time.

He was also sick with high fever during his Ekaterenburg concert in 2020, but the concert was absolutely amazing!

The concern and support from his competitors was very sweeet. Classy.

Please, you have to see "Daybreak" from Bastau Concert!!! This is one of the most emotional ones I ever saw.. goosebumps ....!!!!!

He said in another video, that his voice came back right before the performance, but he was in great pain during it and his voice was totally gone after the performance. Just imagine how stressfull it would be, going out there, singing a song with such meaning, in a language you dont speak, with almost no voice, after talking with the original singer and hearing that she’s thrilled to hear you sing it.

This one still blows my mind when you think how much he risked to perform this stunning

I think this version is amazing.. I think that somehow he channelled the pain of his illness into the pain he needed to express from the song.. Compared to the Bastau version, he did actually hold back! The other eye opening thing is how supportive his competitors were towards him.. Despite the fact that he was blowing them out the water, they were very protective and caring for him.. He made great friends with many of them.

Dimash did a concert in London in 2018, the day of the concert Dimash got sick, sore throat, temp of 40c. It was too late to call it off as people had flown in from around the world to see him. So he got treatment and he did the concert,solo for almost 3 hours. He said he was surprised his voice works for him as at first he was in pain but he got through it, the concert was amazing and online for all to see. Dimash is just amazing and so professional, plus he loves his Dears and they are most likely what got him through the concert. His voice was incredible by the way 💖

This was very beautiful although his voice wasn't in the best condition. He's very professional singer!

He did it 3 months later at bastau. He hasn’t sung it since. Amazing how beautifully he still sang it being in that much pain. At his London concert he was very sick and was running a fever. They wanted him to cancel but he wouldn’t. He said people have come along way and I’m not going to disappoint them. Some one would come on stage and wipe his forehead from sweating so much because of his fever. He said he started feeling better after he started performing. Dimash is such an amazing man. There can be a tendency to be incredulous that his throat was really that bad.. reality tv does things sometimes to create drama. But Dimash doesn’t, & he’s way too serious to waste his day faking a little when he normally practices & practices leading up to it. Anyone who is skeptical just has to watch him sing more, or compare his Bastau.. then you can start to see all the ways he was being careful at points, or more gingerly hitting the runs & leaving off flourishes to pace himself throughout, saving up for certain moments.

Dimash is just the ultimate professional. He's not only talented, but his strong character keeps showing when things are not going well. You have reacted to Dimash singing Daybreak when he's not sick, and you could see how many amazing runs that Dimash had to leave out on the Singer due to his throat problem. I watched the Singer version first, and not knowing what he is capable of, I thought his version in the Singer was absolutely the best one could reach. It just showed me that Dimash at 60% is still better than most singers I've heard. That's just mind boggling.

The story behind this song is heartbreaking.

Thank you for that reaction. He told an interviewer that he got his voice back long enough to sing the song, and then it left again right afterwards… please now listen to Daybreak Bastau, which is this same song, but the way he probably intended to sing it… he has his full voice for that version, and it is one of my favorite if Dimash’s performance. It is just impossibly incredible!

Hello to you both, a sad memory, of the great pain that Dimash had to endure, to be able to interpret this sad song, but Dimash is a professional, always, and gave his best. There is a video where Dimash sings with a torrential rain, despite the show being canceled, and another in which he could not contain the tears for his deceased friend, even so, Dimash goes on stage, and does what he loves, sing .

He was scared. He admitted it. He thought he wouldn’t be able to do it. But as he got onto the stage something happened, and suddenly his voice just came back❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🤯 but right after it disappeared

Thanks to the person who ordered this video! Dimash had no more vocals before and after the song. For him, it was Allah who helped him, he is a very believer. For me who am an atheist, it is the strength of his will that has helped him overcome these pains, but Dimash is too humble to think like that. Somewhere floating around is more footage from the show. What’s annoying is I saw a clip, but when I watched the whole show it wasn’t included. There was another contestant on the show, an older established singer (the man pictured at 10:32 in your video) who got for him some really extra special Chinese remedy (said to be more expensive than gold or something) & gave it to him before the show, really sweet moments as you could see how much in awe these older singers were of Dimash & how much they cared for him as a person because of what a genuine sweetheart he is. Also I believe Dimash speaks of his voice leaving him pretty much as soon as he left the stage after performing, he credits god in getting through it.

@@heathercraig526 No, the singer (at 10.32 minutes into the video) who helped Dimash in this episode was Li Jian, who gave Dimash a traditional and expensive Chinese herbal remedy. ‘Lin Papa’ - Terry Lin - was another father figure to Dimash during Singer 2017, and they’ve remained friends since.

Hi, Dimash just dropped a very meaningful lesson in life through his song"Omir Otir." When you see his video, I bet you will recall what he had said in his interview which you reacted to. This is just a suggestion, but it all depends if you have time left to watch a song as meaningful as this as I can see that you enjoy more songs from other groups which are purely for entertainment purposes.
