I love this song and his voice. Definitely One of a kind and what I like most about this song. It was shot in Chicago!!! Fun fact, at the end of the video that really was his girl and those were his kids. But from what I heard they're not together anymore. I don't know about that part. They did a segment on him on the show. Unsung

Dave can sing with the best of them! This is my homeboy feom Chicago! He was also the lead singer of "Black Street" whiich was another great R&B group put together by Trddy Riley! I give "Black Street" the slight edge over "Guy" becaus they had bigger commercial success! Bith were great singers but i think that Dave is a better LV then Aaron Hall!

ashley did you know that dave hollister, stephanie mills, kc and jojo and fantasia are all blood cousins.
He ironically did not at all live by the words in this song. He cheated on his wife endlessly. Thankfully she eventually left him. The scene at the end with his kids was also major 🧢. They said he was never around. His excuse was that he was raised to believe that him providing was all that mattered. 🙄 He eventually became a better father but they were pretty much grown by then.
