This song is criminally underrated. I think its because Creed had so many hits at the same time & a few of there other songs top the charts and got all the attention.

It's my favorite Creed song
Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti wrote the music for their songs. He told Songfacts "'One Last Breath' is one of my favorite guitar lines, so it's one of my favorite musical compositions for Creed. It's a song that turned out to be one of our biggest songs we ever put out.

I watched a video where Mark Tremonti said that Scott Stapp wrote most of Creed's music. He said that he was a great songwriter. He said that Scott would write Christian/Life Struggle lyrics.
Great reaction! During a bad time in my life, I heard Creed for the first time. This song and others by them got me through to the other side. Incredible music.

Same! I was in rehab 25 years ago hooked on everything when I heard “Higher” and from there I dove into the lyrics and they helped pull me through. 25 years clean and sober and I’m still rocking Creed weekly 🤘🏼

Without a doubt this is my favorite Creed song! The passion of the whole song is undeniable
I love Creed. Keep doing more, you won't be disappointed.
Creed one of the most under appreciated bands ever imo. Don’t ever put Creed in any bracket with Nickelback. Creed’s first 3 albums are all brilliant. Packed full of great songs. What if, Are You Ready, Torn, My Own Prison, Say I, Hide, Weathered, Illusion, Wash Away Those Years, Faceless Man, One, Bound & Tied, Young Grow Old, Pity For a Dime, Bullets and that’s not including their monster hits.

I think it’s because they’re labeled as Christian or some sort of religious band band that’s why media and fans turned on them, but regardless the us brilliant and the lyrics are deep.
Don't stop Dancing is a an amazing song! Torn, One, Human Clay, My Own Prison, and Weathered to name a few good ones.
Creed is also my favorite band!!! Love every song they made. I also love Scott Stapp newer recent songs he wrote! ❤❤❤❤Every song on their album "My Own Prison" is awesome!!!
“I’m six feet from the edge and I’m thinking that maybe six feet ain’t so far down.” Six feet down is a euphemism for dying. Graves are dug six feet down. He’s thinking maybe ending it wouldn’t be such a bad thing. Brilliant stuff. They produced truly inspiring music.

This song came out just in time to be playing on the radio as I was driving 400 miles to get home after one of the most painful breakups in my life. I bought the CD that afternoon and it really helped me through a time I wasn't sure I was going to see the other side of. Definitely a powerful song. Creed was an amazing band.

Classic Creed song. Packed to the rafters with meaning.
Creed had their prime when they first showed up on MTV and the radio. I enjoy the power in his voice. He emotes so much of his emotions in each song. Mark Tremonti is a legend in the guitar-playing world.
My favorite Creed song! Kudos to the people that got this played 👏 Creed never claimed to be a Christian band, that was mainly Scott Stapp’s lyrics in reflection of his own beliefs. Such a beautiful power ballad and I consider Creed to be hard rock but they did come from the post-grunge era. Great reaction! 🤗

@@trishc3099 Every single band member has refuted many times they are not a Christian rock band. In fact, according to Scott Stapp’s book, them being labeled as a Christian rock band drove a rift between Stapp and his band mates ultimately one of the reasons leading to their disbanding. They all have their own beliefs, most obviously Christian, but the band as a whole never intended to be labeled as such.

Creed started out years ago as a Christian band and they carried somewhat that feel in a lot of their music. I listened to them way back when they were strictly Christian rock.
Some days I have this song on repeat blasting with all my windows down rocking on my way home…🎤🎤🎤

They were never Christian rock. They outright said they weren't. And one of their first big hit songs ("Torn") used "god-damn" as a lyric. I'm pretty sure that's not a Christian song lyric.

People are funny. Back in their prime the bands Creed and NickleBack had some of the best most popular songs on the radio. Then out of nowhere people started saying they were sellouts, making jokes about them and what not. Pretty much shaming people away from saying they like them. I don't care. In my opinion they both put out some excellent music.

Guy , Creed band fenomenal , Creed sound= Alice in chains, Stone Temple pilots, saudgarden nirvana, metallica, Doors . Vocalist Scott stapp Genius lyrics Song : whash away those years, pity for a dime, beutifull, ode, What if ( Scream 3 horror movie) è Song demo (blistered) incredibol.
They have some very soothing and powerful rock ballads. But I’m a creed fan from 97. You’ll guys gotta check out the heavy songs. Songs like (say I) torn live official video. Cuz it’s much better than the studio version. (Beautiful) (pity for a dime) (faceless man). (Wash away those tears) ect. The true album fans will know those songs. But the radio singles everyone will always point you too.
Often underrated band for what they did at the time. And i do like a lot their second album, but not gonna lie, their best is still their first one imo, with songs like "One", "My Own Prison", "What't this Life For", "Torn" and "In America".
Scott and Mark was in collaboration that made there music, Mark wrote the music 🎶 and Scott wrote the lyrics for most all there songs and they connected to millions! There songs had meaning and being there live was nothing better then being there! Please do What’s This Life For and One🙌❤️🎶

Arms wide open is another good song.
Thanks Creed, we the people got alot of love for you fellas.Rocking Creed in 24 most definitely. Peace
Love it! Love Creed ❤️
Creed is one of my favorite bands along with Foo Fighters.
They’re not a Christian band, but their lyrics have some deep roots in Christian messages. The lyrics are uplifting and deeply spiritual. They were HUGE in the late 90’s. They got so big that they earned a lot of haters, as bands will do when they completely take over a scene (i.e. Limp Bizkit, Nickelback). All 3 bands were very, very good but almost became parodied because of how big they were. Creed never deserved the hate they received.
Creed (like most post-grunge bands) I make fun of a lot, but Creed has some genuinely amazing songs.
They're 1st album was in 97.
Great reaction! Have you heard The Power Station - Someday, Somehow, Someone's Gotta Pay
Creed is very good ✌🏻❤️
Thank you both for posting the music 💖🙏👍❣🌹👋🏅
The lead singer of Creed Scott Stapp was trying to hurt himself or commit suicide. Then rapper T.I. was at a hotel and heard a sound like someone was choking or something and saw Stapp laying on the ground. Creed was one of the first I was really into after grunge going into nu-metal
@tinakeith5822
Жыл бұрын
He wasn’t laying on the ground, he was laying on a ledge of a hotel balcony. He laid out there for 2 1/2 hours before TI rented the room he was outside of.
I'm listening to this right now! Have been for years
Question/Quote: What kind of rock is this? Answer: Yes. 😎 Although...I must admit that BJ's answer to the question was splendid! 🤘
Weathered is also a great song.
According to a 1999 piece in The Washington Post: The biblical imagery of singer Scott Stapp's lyrics got Creed typed as Christian rock by early listeners, and the band's denial of any religious objective has unsettled some of its more fervent fans. "We are not a Christian band," Stapp insists on the band's web site. "A Christian band has an agenda to lead others to believe in their specific religious beliefs. We have no agenda!" Bassist Brian Marshall, who named the band, has noted that Stapp uses spiritual imagery as a metaphor in his lyrics.
This song saved me during my recovery
He jumped off a ledge on a Miami hotel and landed on rapper/hip hop T..I balcony who saved Scott Stapp. Hopefully you will do a reaction to that because TIP spoke on this.
Love this one.
Creed was hard rock... But heavily played on 90s pop radio.. Also good song on the same album as this "my sacrifice" however they were not a Christian band.. The lead singer is a christian. But not necessarily the rest of the band.
Dudes, react to 'stand here with me'..criminally underrated and unknown creed song..
This song and my own prison do things to my heart.
This song rocks as hard as anything out there
They were somewhat labeled as a Christian rock group, but that's because the lead singers father preached to him a lot about the Bible and religion. That's why you'll find that the lyrics tend to have a Christian overtone to them. I would just call it good music little bit hard rock a little bit pop... ONE is my favorite Creed song.. please check it out and possibly do a reaction to it.
In my opinion I think Creed was Alternative. If you like Creed then you seriously need to listen to AlterBridge. When Creed split they 3 remaining guys formed another band and it is AlterBridge! The front man in that band is Myles Kennedy. That man can sing and has such a range it is ridiculous. The lead guitar is Mark Tremonti. He is one of the best guitar players out there in my mind. The entire group of guys is something super human. BUT having said that, they appear to be one of the most humble guys also. Im not sure what Scott Stapp is doing these days but I did love his voice. So angelic but when he knows he has to kick some serious butt, he turns on that deep baritone grit. Incredible. But for sure go check out AlterBridge. You wont be disappointed. Mark Tremonti wrote a song called "In Loving Memory" . It makes me cry because of how beautifully written it is and he wrote it when his mother passed away. I lost my sister to Breast Cancer. My son made me a beautiful video of her and I over the years along with other family. He warned me that I should wait to watch it until I was in a better place. He put "In Loving Memory" as the background for the video. AlterBridge have some of the most beautiful super meaningful songs on every album.
Creed was labeled Christian Rock because some of their positive messages in their music. As a Christian I like them still ✌🏽
This is Good rock right here. Facts BJ!
Love me some Creed! his lyrics are Christian based.
BJ nailed it. it's good rock. 100%
Creed is a good band the singer had some mental health issues he got help and there back together touring in 24 I think I'm going to go I love the depth and meaning of this song
Love Creed ❤
He thought he was headed right, but ended up down the wrong road, he is feeling hopeless and is close to breaking and being buried six feet down seems a lot closer than it should and he is appealing for help and anyone he knew in his past who was good to just hold him down, keep him safe, and prevent him from doing something really bad......but through it all...like Job in the Bible...he has kept his faith and hopes God still has plans for him in his life.............That's my take anyway.
Creed - Illusion. 🔥🔥
Creed is just amazing. I haven't heard a single song from them that I didn't like. And how did they start out? Christian rock.
Creed muito bom !
I believe this style is called "New Metal"
When my parents split Creed got me through 👉🙌👈 fr👊🥰
You felt that 🎉❤
I ALWAYS mistook this for a new Red Hot Chili Peppers release for like 4 months after it dropped. That opening guitar.....
Just fyi, Creed isn't Christian rock, and there are plenty of interviews from the band out there where they flat out say they aren't a Christian rock band. Scott Stapp uses a lot of spiritual references in his lyrics, but that's where it ends. There was a lot of hate for Creed from critics, and they'd toss the Christian label on them as a way of insulting them, and then there were a ton of fans who were Christian who wanted to claim Creed as a Christian band because of Creed's success.

They were never released as Christian rock. Listen to Stapps interviews on why there are some lyrics about faith. It's pretty dark.
Early creed was so good
Creed is basically a hard rock band, or modern rock band... much like Alter Bridge is now... but the 2 sound different, despite having 3 members of Creed... They debuted in the 90's (1997) just as 90's grunge was falling out of flavor... so, I guess the music industry needed a new selling point... so "post grunge" was used to describe their music. Many thought Creed were a Christian rock band, but that was never the case.
They were never a Christian rock band but the singer would incorporate lyrics with faith based themes.
One of Scott's many cries for help over the years, suffering from mental illness.
Classic
