Bipolar disorder, when you’re on the high side life is good , when the pendulum swings to the low side you feel like the world would be better off without you in it . Great song and message !

I was just about to say this and your comment ws the first thing I see. I've been listening to Chris stapleton for awhile but i heard this song for the first time last week and that shit hit me like a fridge to the face. This is my second time hearing it and got tears in my eyes this time too. So i friend of mine recommended this and said what you said but also that he didn't like to be in the videos and of he got to sing about what he wanted and kinda direct the video and i think he said pick the actors but i might be wrong then he would be in the video. So they came to an agreement and he was the bartender in the video. This is definitely my new favorite Chris stapleton songs. Tennessee Wiskey, sometimes I cry and Death Row have been my favorites for so long long now but this is definitely going to be up there.. What a song..

Chris wanted a video that not only showed the struggle she has with mental health but what the partner goes thru. The husband was basically showing her that he can take it. She can fire away and he’s prepared to take it for her. This hits very close to home for me. I’m blessed to have my husband by my side. 🙏🏼❤️

This is the BEST reaction I’ve seen to this video. Sorry it took me so long to watch, but my 37 year old daughter is bipolar. I can’t watch this when she’s in a manic phase. It scares me to death! I’m always in awe when artist or celebrity uses their talent to bring awareness to issues. It shows great courage and passion. Chris did it beautifully. And you’re absolutely right young man. Hold your loved ones tight and tell them you love them. I do enjoy all your reactions, but this one…no words. Love and light young ones! Always! ❤️🙏😇

I have bipolar it is hard to get out of a Deep depression but it is worth the fight to live, the love and support of friends, family and sometimes even strangers can help with this fight with the darkness and self hate. I've watched 1000 reaction videos, literally. I have never subscribed or even light a single video because I get too much junk mail and crap as it is. Yours is the first one that I will like because of your comments. You nailed it. We just want to know that our man has our back, 100% regardless of the situation. Any Rich kind of run when the going gets tough but it takes a real man to stand there and say bring it on. I love you enough and will take care of it together. Never seen your channel, but miss, if you're you are the Mrs, and this is your man and he truly embodies what he's preaching then you are a lucky lady. Thank you both for this video!

The truth is being in a relationship with a person with depression is tough. There’s ultimately nothing you can do but try to be there and support them but it is up to them to work on themselves. My girlfriend suffers from that. It’s tough but I still support her and tell her everyday I love her and I’m there for her.

Chris’ studio was insisting he make a video, not just a performance video. This was his compromise. He would agree if it would bring attention to those suffering with mental health, and especially those that love them. There is a clip of Chris, the lead actor, and the director on KZread talking about the development of the video.

The video needs to be seen to truly appreciate this song and what it means to Chris himself because he normally doesn't do a video but this was all him idea and vision, there's actually a great video on here of Chris, the director, and the actors in the video all talking about it. Now that you have seen it if you want to truly appreciate the lyrics and his unbelievable singing ability you guys have to check out the acoustic version with just Chris and Morgane, his wife, there. It's by far the best version of the song in my opinion and it is somehow almost as powerful as the video I think. It's some of his and his wife's best singing and harmonies together. Enjoying your channel brother, really hope I see you react to the acoustic version, can't miss it too it's the only acoustic version on KZread I have seen and the video has around 10 million views now.

As a family member altered by a loved one’s suicide, watching your faces… just… idk. Respect. I don’t know what else to say. It’s like I can see the moment it hit you what actually happened. Thank you for your honesty. Situations like this are sad and all that… but they also just honestly suck beyond the telling of it for the ones of us left here and so many times I think we are stigmatized for feeling selfish. But… damn it 🥺

After I got out of the military in 2012 I was lost and in alot of mental and physical pain. The v.a. just kept prescribing me pain pills. I ended up hooked on them. Couldn't take the memories and pain. I was taught if you ask for help your weak. All my wife wanted was for me to talk to her and I couldn't.In 2014 tried to take my own life. Thank God it didn't work out. I thought it would be the best thing for my wife and kids. It wasn't. I never thought of the pain it would cause them. I learned that it doesn't make you weak to seek help. Sometimes we can't do it alone. Thank God I'm in a better place now. If anyone is thinking about suicide please I beg you ask for help. It's never a good idea.

I can say this for certain sometimes it’s hard when you are in that mind frame and I live alone so I have a couple of people I can day or night thank God. I have lost a few friends over the years. I don’t want to be this way but unfortunately for me I have a broken brain. Thank you so much for reacting to this song. This is one of the things there needs to be talked about. I do believe that everyone with mental illness should have a friend they can call day or night. Just 2 weeks ago I was struggling for the first time since 2008. I kept saying no! Stop it to my head! Maybe one day I will share my horrible memories and stories that got me here. 💕💕💕

Take the positive and leave the negative......reminds me of an old bing crosby song...a duet he did in a movie.....probably back in the late 40s early 50s...the dudes were in black face in the movie though...might tend to anger someone now adays...

Thank you for not pausing every 30 seconds...when reaction channels do that it drives me crazy because they interrupt the flow of the song and they don't always catch all the lyrics. You guys should do more reaction videos! 🙂

This song holds a special place in my heart more now than ever . My beautiful loving smart funny musical artist engineer Son couldn’t deal with the demons he had in his head . He took his life December 21st being an organ donor he was kept on life support till Christmas Day 2019 he passed away Christmas Night . We are coming up on his second anniversary in Heaven . People need to really take mental illness very serious . It’s real and it’s the SILENT KILLER AS the nurses told me . Hold your babies tight folks
