Oh there's no way Jin isn't mentioned in Dionysus!!! He wrecked me with this. That was the first time I realised how crazy his voice can go. You've seen the performance of this from MAMA before. There's only one word for Dionysus - madness!! And i mean it in the best way possible. The choreo was so dangerous that after a point they had to change a particular part (where they all spin and fall to the floor) cos they kept hitting their faces 😩 and V almost twisted his shoulder doing the tumble from the table. But hands down this is one of their best ever stage performances! I'm so glad you got to watch this. Also, my vote is for LIE too for Jimin's b'day but consider doing just one stage performance (not the stage mix) of it if you want to fully grasp the essence of the song and Jimin's raw emotions portrayed from his performance!!

Yep, that's Jin doing the low notes followed by the high notes AND it's also Jin doing the two high note "metal screams" at the end as well. 🤘😎🤘

The members have said multiple times that Seokjin has the biggest range in the group, although he keeps denying it 🤣🤣 But he was asked to go in one day while recording this and the producer(s) literally just asked him to scream, so he did, and it's still one of my favourite adlibs ever!

That was Jin .. the kill it is Jin .. the scream at the end is also Jin .. and there is a lot of screaming in the background its Jin .. he said in an interview the one of the producers ask him to scream and they used it all over in the backing track for this song .. that scream at the end, haunting for real 🥰🥰💜💜💜 so proud of my bias Jin👍🥰🥰💜💜

Mikrokosmos is likely the song you're thinking of. I don't think you've reacted to it as a sole song, but it was in one of the award show mutliple-song performances that you did. Absolutely wonderful song, and yes, it will always, always make you cry when you hear it. :D

Originally, it had a different choreo. But it was extremely dangerous so they changed it (it's the part where the kinda kneel down, they used to fall down on their hands and push back up, obv dangerous, around 4:52 in your video)

Then you add the skill that it takes for BTS to pull this off. The MAMA 2019 performance of Dionysus is actually my very favorite because the dance break is out of this world!!

Dionysus is the greek god of wine and pleasure. The song relays the message of being drunk in your art or whatever you enjoy. They use the wordplay of 예술 (yesul; art) and 술 (sul; alcohol). And yes! Jin in this song is something else. From the deep voice to the almost metal scream at the end… his range is insane. I just love the energy of this song. It always puts a big smile on my face the song I hear it. And the way it just gets so chaotic at the end with full energy as Namjoon hypes is up, something about that is beautiful

This is such a "hype" song and the choreo is amazing. This was the first BTS song I ever heard and I was hooked straight away!

This is one of my favorite BTS songs. I agree that the stage mixes are amazing - it really shows their laser-sharp consistency. Everything about this song just rocks. BTW, they stopped doing that move where they spin and fall flat to the floor because JK hit his chin on the floor and almost cold cocked himself.

These guys are so professional, a fan cam of an MMA performance of this song showed Jimin didn't have a chair to sit on bec the crew came in late in bringing the chair to him so Jimin had to squat at the back of the table so that he continues to be in-sync with the guys..and he didn't make a big fuzz about it after.. I think V also had the same experience in another show of the same performance. Their strength & stamina to perform this choreo in suits is also admirable. Try checking out the Tiny Tan series of them in animation or their commercials with Hyundai for Ioniq or the Lotte commercials 😉😁💜.

Mind blown again! This song and choreography pulled me to check BTS and now I’m part of the fandom - a proud ARMY! 💜 I didn’t listen to a male Kpop group before (I only listened to 2NE1 😁) but when a live performance of Dionysus was played in YT I got hooked then I checked Blood, Sweat and Tears and so on… Jin’s voice has a wide range and a master of mixed voice. It’s pronounced DIE-ON-EYE-SIS with the emphasis on the EYE. The choreography is outstanding! They had to change the bit where the front five basically fall forward to the floor because JK hit his chin off the floor but I love this version with that move because it’s simply awesome. "This is some of Best choreo I've ever seen from BTS. EVER!" Truth! Also, per the guys...it's one of their hardest... Because it's long in length, it's intense jumping on and off furniture, it's complex, it's hard packed with lots of moves that are all so energetic, almost impossible synchronicity, the table choreography is not easy, and did you see the "face plant" move where they fall full body to the stage???!!! The girl who choreographed "On" and their Grammy performance of "Butter" with laser beams choreographed this. Her name is Sienna. She was also a backup dancer for J-Hope's Lollapalooza. I think she did his chorpeography too. And she has performed with them in L.A. and Las Vegas when BTS performed "Permission to Dance" with back up dancers. She is on the front row on stage with the backup dancers. Anyway, I agree. The choreography is so _ _ _ _ good!!!

This is the song that they sang to finish the MMA2019 performance with the incredible dance break and beacuse it was so long and had the break that might be why you didnt remember it. This song is rooted in two things -- in Korean, the words for art (예술 yesul) and alcohol (술 sul) sound very similar, and Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and divine madness/ecstasy, is considered to have been born twice (once when taken from his mother's ashes -- Semele burned up when Zeus allowed her to see him in his true form -- then a second time emerging from Zeus' thigh which he'd been sewn into to continue developing). So BTS linked the ideas of getting drunk on/inspired by art and alcohol and the concept that they themselves have been born twice, first as idols then as artists -- and they're still thirsty. (That's a line in Suga's rap and a major part of J-Hope's solo effort "More". Interestingly, while a number of the usual people worked on "Dionysus", J-Hope lead the effort and it's considered his baby.)

I do recommend you watch the dance practise for an awards performance of this song because there is actually a much longer choreo at the table and it is incredible!!! For Jimin's birthday def do Lie! And I still want to see you react to more dance practices! Their choreo is insane and so much of their stuff is fast, high energy, and hard. And they do it live and they sing live at the same time. Beyond insane. Their performances are incredible but you just don't see the details of the choreo in them with all the lights and audience shots and headshots (grr cameramen - we need to see their FOOTWORK!!!) I'm with you on the stage mixes. BTS are spot on but the person who splices them together is amazing too. Also there are various performances of this including the amazing MMA 2019. Jin shows what an incredible range he has in this. RM looks so commanding as Dionysus with his Thyrsus. Then you have JK and Hobi dancing on moving stage furniture.
