The song is nearly 50 years old. It came out long before the video era. The video, which I've never seen, was never a part of the legacy of the song. It looks fairly recent. Clearly the sound and imagery were a bit out of your comfort zone. Nevertheless, every now and again, it's good to go there. Was a good reaction vid.

This song is considered one of the most powerful ANTI WAR songs ever recorded. I was never really into Black Sabbath, but this particular song is a MASTERPIECE🔥🔥🔥. The composition...the lyrics...the killer drums. Great stuff🎵 Rock music always delivers.

Ah Morenikeji, my poor, sweet, innocent baby girl (I know you’re not my baby girl it’s just an expression) I’m impressed you tried this. I assumed you’d hate it before you started but it’s good to see you branching out. And to appease your tender heart you’ll be pleased to hear it’s an anti-war song. The video has a rather totalitarian, Orwellian vibe which, sad to say, is always relevant. Black Sabbath by the way, from my own hometown of Birmingham, kind of invented heavy metal music. I’ll be interested to see if you watch any more

Hello Morenikeji, when I requested War Pigs by Black Sabbath which was released in 1970 I didn't expect it would have such a profound effect on you. This classic song reminds me of the book of Revelations from the bible and what is to come, the message is very deep and relates to world history and more so now then ever in my opinion. Your raw emotions help define your true humanity and recognizing our common interests as a people, no matter what part of the world we come from. I loved your reaction and your sincereness, you are truly a beautiful person and I love your channel. Thank you for being so open minded by playing my request.

I love this song. I don't listen to it often but I feel it's important, and I'm glad it exists. Sabbath had an almost operatic sound to their melodies. Amazing that such powerful music could be made with only 3 instruments and Ozzy.

Great tune and a wonderful reaction! The video is not original or at all official, though it fits the anti war theme of the song! Black Sabbath pretty much invented Heavy Metal (along with Led Zeppelin and a few others), personally I am a metal fan, but I particularly like this earlier style best where the rhythm & blues influence is still prominent. All great musicians in the band, the drummer Bill Ward really shines on this one for sure!

This song portraits the madness of war. We, the ordinary people being just bricks in a game the people in power play. The video is dark and hopeless, I guess. I'm an old Black Sabbath fan too and the music came out loooong before the video. To be honest I think this video takes away some from the music. But I guess that's what happens to popular music. Thanks for your reaction! 🌟

The first time I heard this song it scared the crap out of me. That can't be said about many songs. I didn't pick up on what it was really about until a few deeper listens. What this song is really about is probably scarier than any supernatural stuff I thought it was about.

Black Sabbath became the band they were partly after seeing a long line for a scary movie at a theater and they thought if people would pay money to see scary movies, they would probably pay money to listen to scary music. The quest to make scary music was aided by guitarist Tony Iomi chopping off the middle two fingers of his fretting hand. One of the things he did to keep playing was tune down his guitar strings, which helped give the band a heavier sound.

Though regarded as Anti-(Viet Nam) War the song is not just about wars, it is about Evil itself. The “Darkness” of this song brings to light some humans propensity for death and destruction. This music and lyrics of this song seem more serious than the slightly clownish images on Ozzy's albums. If Black Sabbath was just using the music to make a statement about evil, I would "buy" it totally but the band was aware of the power of music and symbolism. I am skeptical of musicians and their use of the subliminal. While expressing the evil in Man, they recognize the power of music to create chaos and release destructive impulses, the very thing they are singing about. The Stones used that power to heighten some incredible music. (I don't know. Just a thought.)

Back when I was a kid, we called this "Hard Rock". The term "Heavy Metal" started to slip into our vocabulary with te release of Judas Priest's "Sin After Sin" album in 1977. Later we used it more and more, with the advent of "NWOBHM" (new wave of British heavy metal) in 1979 and 1980 with the rise of bands like Saxon, Iron Maiden, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Angelwitch, Diamond Head, Holocaust, Motorhead and some such.

Black Sabbath definitely never played love songs. Their music is dark. But they have been famous for forty to fifty years.

Hi BBGrl! Wow! You jumped right into rock with both feet didn’t you? Lol! Great reaction! I recommend checking out some more AC/DC or maybe a few Aerosmith songs.

I saw Ozzie and Black Sabath in 1971 this is quite tame compared to Ozzie when he got snapped up!

The best anti-war military industrial complex song ever written, and I'm not a huge Sabath fan. It's a tough song to emotionally absorb. Great vocals. lyrics, crazy great drums, and excellent guitar work. Thanks for posting.

I'm not a metal fan and definitely not a Black Sabbath fan but to each his own. That was a pretty intense video. I often find people making videos of songs that weren't released as singles. How about reacting to Prince? Try his performance at the 2007 Half-Time Super Bowl. It is amazing and he winds up performing his iconic song "Purple Rain" in the rain. This is a famous performance. Try it!
