No auto-tune, no back woods tricks just raw talent. In the 60's & 70's and part of the 80's you had to have talent to get these great results. Rest in peace Andy Gibb, Maurice Gibb and Robin Gibb amazing singers who passed way too early.

I listen to this song every day. A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 53 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Barry's chest is shiny with blotches because when he was about 18 months, he pulled a pot of hot tea from off of a table. His mom said he was close to dying and didn't speak for 2 years. Robin (on our left - long hair) and Maurice (on our right - short hair) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) heart attack, while getting surgery for twisted intestines. Survived by wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) doctors found out he had the same intestine problems as Maurice. When they went in to fix it, they found cancer. He is survived by wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) **Not pictured** He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins. He had a bad heart. Barry said he lived the L.A. lifestyle of drugs. Barry said when his 3 brothers passed away, he was not on good speaking terms with them. That is something he'll have to live with for the rest of his life. You know the song 'Emotion' sung by Destiny's Child? Well --- the brothers wrote the song (1977) for the singer Samantha Sang. Destiny's Child has too much drama in it. But Barry said he liked it. Emotion kzread.info/dash/bejne/lJOrtryjn5zHqs4.htmlsi=Y863cKzsfSsxKiTP They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. Robin sings falsetto too. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two survivors of the family. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. In your spare time, I think you'll like what they have contributed to the music industry. I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5Od3Nh6ksurqLw.htmlsi=7p2Pbvfime9eHGc-&t=1 How Deep Is Your Love kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqSl08yOZ9ibicY.htmlsi=TJzrh9ns2v1rUvnH Spirits Having Flown kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYt2qNKoddWqc7A.htmlsi=3mpRsV0a-kfCMDWX Shadow Dancing (Andy Gibb) kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZ6T26mShcLQhbg.htmlsi=fgwTh0Si29Axvb7S Bodyguard kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKxputmCe6bZY9I.htmlsi=ZR3i-vkS0bTbUsMd You Should Be Dancing (Andy is with them in this video: from the movie Saturday Night Fever) kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6mjlJt9gMnAYqg.htmlsi=XevU5_t8wV8gQCBS&t=1 You Win Again kzread.info/dash/bejne/fY6Nm9GSg7bQdqw.htmlsi=tNkXzwYEE2uOUi1I Secret Love kzread.info/dash/bejne/m4qnx7GMdretcdo.htmlsi=5DFjJ0rTH1_6GvEw 4 For Whom the Bells Toll kzread.info/dash/bejne/nIij2duSdruvhbw.htmlsi=kqPuP-VmVOO8dkca

What a privilege and joy to listen to these brothers who were God's gift to the musical world. You can't find a bad song from them. They wrote most of their own music and were so talented. It's sad that the twins, Maurice and Robin, are gone. Barry, the tall, middle one of the group, is the only one left with us. This is the music of my teenage years....I am 75 years old and still play my Bee Gees Greatest Hits CD....at home and in my car. So glad you are enjoying the music of my youth !

They started their career 1958 in Australia as a children's band with beat music. After the band signed a contract with Polydor, the family returned to the UK in 1966. Afterwards, the Bee Gees became known worldwide. TEN years and more than 10 albums later their producer Arif Mardin asked for their song nights on broadway if one of them can make a high scream at the end of the song. Barry went out, tried it and wondered what sounds came out of his mouth and thus the Falsetto King was born!

This is one of my all time favorite songs and Barry’s falsetto is the best on this song with the brothers harmonies!!! You can’t beat it! And just think…THEY WROTE ALL THEIR OWN MUSIC and many songs for other artists! Here are some of my favorites! You’ve done some already: --------------------- Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1 How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1 Staying Alive (disco), went to #1 Night Fever (disco), went to #1 You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1 Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too. Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1 Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song. Tragedy (Techno? Pop) .It also went #1 **More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made! Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1 To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were. Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1 Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour. They sing in their natural voices on this song. Alone (pop): One of the songs they made late in their career. Love So Right (R&B), One of Barry’s best falsetto songs ever. Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour). Barry pours his heart out on this song and they show his wife & son on screen some while he was performing it. Lonely Days (pop). One of the first songs they wrote after they got back together when they briefly broke up in 1969 then got back together in 1970 to write this. You Win Again (pop), If you want to hear some 80’s Bee Gees, this is a good one. Went #1 in the UK Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them. One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives! All of them had been married for a while. Barry is will married to this day to Linda for over 53 years! Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country). Shows diversity! Bodyguard (R&B), Robb really shines on this song that could have been played on any R&B radio station! For Whom the Bell Tolls (pop), again, Robin shines on this one. Blue Island - live (pop). This song shows the perfect blend & harmony the brothers have. Especially if you do the acoustic one. Just the 3 of them with 2 guitars! Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop). After their brother Andy passed, they started performing this during shows in honor of him. Secret Love (pop). I love the best to this song! Barry & Robin leads. This is Where I Came in (live) (pop). From the very last CD they ever released. There is a live version out there from a tv show. That's a great one to see how they have evolved into the 2000's! The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor). This is a little long (over 12 min), but they go through about 7-9 songs in this medley with just the 3 of them around 1 mic either Barry in the guitar. If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try: (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979 (B) The making of the song "Just in Case" (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001

I bought the Rickenbacker 4001 in my photo just because Maurice played one in the live video of ‘Jive Talkin’! 😆 Over 1,000 songs in 5 decades…enjoy! BTW, if you like the falsetto songs…this one and ‘Stayin’ Alive’, check out ‘Alone’ the official video…

Oh Saeed this song is when most of the female population fell in love with Barry Gibb lol....so much passion and those high vocals...was 'just too much 'heaven' lol I love your analysis too and coming from a lyricist person I agree with you 100% . Not sure if you've done 'Immortality' they wrote for Celine Deon...but that is next level genius ....

The Bee Gees are 3 brothers (Barry the eldest is in the middle and Robin & Maurice either side are twins). They had another brother called Andy who died at an early age. Barry is the only one left. They were born on the Isle of Man which is protectorate of the UK. They then moved to Manchester in the UK before emigrating to Australia. They then returned to the UK before going to th USA. They have loads of fantastic songs over many genres and decades. They also wrote songs for other famous singers, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand etc.

I have been a fan of the Bee Gees since the early 70s. I am 63 and I got to see them with my now husband in 1978 during the height of the disco era. Their career exploded after Saturday night fever soundtrack came out it was the highest selling Album from a movie until Michael Jackson’s thriller in 1983. They had a little brother named Andy that was quite successful but he died one week after his 30th bday. Barry is the oldest he’s the one in the middle. To the left of him is Robin and to the right is Maurice pronounced Morris. They started singing when the twins Roband Maurice were six and Barry was nine. Their mom and dad always thought that they were listening to the radio because they sounded that good. They broke up briefly in 1970 but we’re very sad not being together so they got Back and then wrote three of their most popular songs one being how can you mend a broken heart. Robin and Maurice are fraternal twins. They wrote over 1000 songs and sang from the 60s the 70s the 80s the 90s and even until the 2000s until Maurice died from complications from stomach surgery in 2003. His brother Rob passed in 2012 from pancreatic cancer. If you want to see an unbelievable documentary about their lives, there is one called. How can you mend a broken heart. I have seen Barry interviewed and he said he cannot watch it because it breaks his heart at the end of the documentary. Barry says I would trade all of the gold records all of the Grammys all of the accolades if I could have my brothers back . Not only are they amazing singers but they are amazing human beings as well. Barry is the only remaining BG and he is soon to be 80. My favorite Bee Gees song would have to be fanny bender. Also run to me, and New York mining disaster. Don’t forget, I started a joke featuring Robin singing by himself.

Great reaction as usual Saeed. If you want to try another Bee Gees tune, I would recommend their disco anthem "You Should Be Dancing" from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. They are joined by little brother Andy, and if you pick the right video you get to see them perform and scenes from the movie with John Travolta killing it on the lighted dance floor. Travolta practiced that dance scene for 10 months.

Great reaction. The BeeGees journey is an incredible one. Five decades of great song writing and voices like no others. They have so many great songs that should have been at the very least in the top ten but after the disco rebellion the radio stations wouldn't play their songs. If only they would have listened they would see the so many genres the BeeGees had mastered. You could react to one BeeGees song a week and it would take you years to get through all of their great songs. Songs as great as this one. Please react to their younger brother Andy Gibb on the Midnight Special singing, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything. He's incredible too.

They were amazing. Timeless songs by such talented people. Barry is the oldest, his story is very sad though. They lost their youngest brother first, Andy and then he lost Maurice and Robin (who are paternal twins). He has a sister, Leslie who I think is still alive. There is a documentary on Barry Gibb called How Can You Mend A Broken Heart (which is the title of one of their songs) that came out in 2020. Very interesting, but sad. Great reaction!

I think you will love "Now that I know love" by Kenny Loggins. Great vocals, lyrics and musicianship. Honor those of the 60s and 70s!! It's real music!
