I never git into NAS, but I know that he's considered one of the greats. One of the awards shown was a Grammy fir Best Contemporary Instrumental Album 2008 fir The Mix Up. They have Grammy 3 wins and 11 nominations. The other two wins were both in 1999. Best Alternative Music Album for Hello Nasty as well as the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for "Intergalactic".

This was MCA’s last project ( video) before he passed with the BB’s &They knew it.. This video hits hard for these reasons alone . We all grew up together it feels . R.i.P The Legend MCA ⭐️

The footage is from their final concert ever at Bonnaroo in 2009, and Nas came out and they debuted Too Many Rappers, no one even knew this collab was a thing. They went out on top. MCA changed the lyrics to that verse that mentions 80s,90s,2000s and so on the studio album that came out in 2011. So this video like most of their music videos are unique versions of said track. @@halfdevoured there was big difference beastie boys early 80’s, Nas was early 90’s if you go by albums which is what physically makes you actual musician. Nas also didn’t have the 80’s flow by the time of Rakim is when the flow changed which was mid 80’s,I was a kid when the beastie boys were out and a teen when Nas came out. It’s not just few yrs it like at least 10 yrs I’m around Nas age we all grew up hearing The beastie boys and like I mentioned Roxann Shante who was the first real big rapper from Queens Bridge. Yes the beastie boys made albums in the 90’s

This collab is still so cool; Beastie Boys used to get disrespected quite a lot because they were never the 'best' rappers, or whatever. And while that may be true, look: you have here Nas - arguably the greatest rapper ever - joining forces with them and speaking on some truth: that what is really needed in this game are MCs who are going to bring some unique-ness and add to the culture, and make great music. Beastie Boys were always a bit goofy but they contributed more to music than a lot of the ultra-serious types who claim to be the only way to make music - and that's not just hip-hop, that goes for every genre.

Don't forget to do "Fight for Your Right Revisited" (Full Length) INSTEAD of "Make Some Noise" - They are the same video, but the only difference is that FFYR(R) is the FULL version of Make Some Noise and has the actual Beastie Boys in it (and MCA's actual last appearance) and a whole other song rather than just only the celebrity appearances.
