Hello everyone! I hope you're well and thank you for checking out my video! So an apology! I understand now that this is actually a tribute to the original version by Screamin' Jay Hawkins! Thank you to everyone who has highlighted this to me. As this was my first time ever watching anything by Angelina Jordan, I chose to do a minimal amount of research as I prefer my reaction to be authentic and as fresh as possible. However, I do understand that knowing the version she was covering would have been to my benefit. I hope that you continue to come back to my other Angelina Jordan reactions and enjoy my journey with me. Much love! Adam

Hi. My name is Bruce and I am an Angelina addict. This video is more addictive than any substance known to mankind. There is no cure, but it can be treated with frequent doses of Angelina Jordan music. Effects of this addiction can include feelings of euphoria, light-headedness, and singing at inappropriate times. Side effects may vary and can be used in conjunction with blues, jazz, pop, and other forms of music. I admit my addiction and am completely powerless to stop it.

Angelina's rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody should probably be your next listen. It's her latest release at 13 (turned 14 in January). It will give you a perfect idea of where her voice is now, her ability to rearrange songs (at 13!!) and just a sampling of her vocal and technical abilities. Then after the goosebumps fade, I'd start at the beginning when she 'auditioned' for Norway's Got Talent with her rendition of Billie Holiday's Gloomy Sunday at 7. I rediscovered Angelina in January and have listened to her everyday since. If you want to check out her writing ability, check out her live version of her song Shield. I'm hooked for life. Welcome to the Club!

Thanks for a very informed reaction to Angelina. I understand your thoughts about performing vs. singing. I won’t repeat what others have said about how this song was a one-off, unique performance for Angelina. To answer all your questions-just listen to Bohemian Rhapsody, and then you’ll be on a very extended journey with Angelina.

Adam! You finally found my favorite singer of all time. I am so glad you did. She is fantastic. You know I love Aurora, but Angelina, wow. She has so much emotion and soul in her voice, you are about to find out. Try Bohemian Rhapsody first, and go a little back and forth from 13 years old, and back to where it all started, at 6. You will love her. I know it, knowing you. Thank you for this massive reaction 👍

this song is an homage to the original singer: She is singing the Screamin' Jay Hawkins (1956) version whose face is on the candle she held in the beginning. Certain things that Jay did, Angelina does on this performance. Angelina always capture the spirit of the song and improves it. Whatever she does on a song is in purpose. Keep reacting to Angelina and you will learn how amazing skills she has. she was 9 years old on this song.... wait until you listen the songs she sang when she was 10 :)

As loud and wild and seemingly uncontrolled as that seemed to be is as controlled, nuanced she will be as her voice hugs your soul and your heart as she gets older and sings ballads. Her smooth jazz is matched by no one. She takes quite a journey and watching her from Norway’s Got Talent to present showing the dramatic evolution of an upcoming legend. Her versatility in the music that she sings is amazing. She has the technical ability to use her voice to enchance any song that she chooses and her choices go from the 30’s jazz to Sinatra, Elvis, James Brown, Freddy Mercury, Queen, Adelle, Rhianna, Lana Del Ray, Amy Winehouse......Yet her performance is usually just her and music. No elaborate show. She doesn’t need it. She arranges most of her own covers and has written 3 songs. Her voice is like none other and her sense of music is genius.

I have seen a large number of reactions to this song, and you are the only one who has expressed exactly what I felt. Towards the end of the song, when she changed the tune, I felt a change in the way I felt. Up until then, I had been in a state of wonder and admiration, but from that point on, I felt more connected to the song, or rather, I felt myself being drawn to it all at once. At the end of the song, the long tone part, I was moved to the point where my whole body went numb. I subscribed your channel.

This is just the tip of the iceberg with Angelina Jordan. You have so much more to discover. She was just 9 in this video, but her incredible talent goes back even further. You mentioned that you were going to check out Bohemian Rhapsody next. I think doing these two back to back is going to really show you what kind of versatility she has. As you work your way through her library, she is going to show you so many different styles and flavors. She always somehow selects the exact style that a song needs to get the message across. This one is no different. You said you were a little put off by the style of this one (which you will not see in any other performance by her), but by the end you understood why she selected this style. BTW: If you like subtle inflections in singing, you are going to be a big fan of Angelina. She can pack so many subtle things in a vocal that it usually takes many listens to pick up on all of them. And the things she does, she never does for show. She always does it for the emotion she is trying to convey. ...and I always have to leave this little bio for people just discovering her so that you can learn a little about her background and her kind soul...... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 14 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 120 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

@@BlackWolfSpirit I'm with you 100% on how you feel about reactors just doing reactions for their view count and numbers. But on the other hand I think that's got to be a choice for the real reactor who doesn't care so much about getting the views as much as they do about watching and listening to great performances. Personally as a viewer, I'd want to every reactor to watch this, even the people who try so hard to fake a reaction and just look into the camera to make viewers think they really are interested, when it's obvious they're doing their best acting (which usually sucks, lol) to try to make people believe it's a true reaction. This video is what I want anyone who hasn't heard of Angelina to watch first, because of the shock factor and her age. I then choose songs from AJ for that reactor based on what I think they are interested in. So if it's the AGT performances then I might ask for those, even though I'm not an AGT fan of that show. Anyway my point is people shouldn't be shied away from those songs from AGT because of the numbers. Let them choose the songs and we choose if we want and like their reactions. I believe the amount of time a viewer watches a video has a value for their channels too. So if I turn it off because I think they are faking a reaction it doesn't help there cause much. And I probably pass them by next time.

@@BlackWolfSpirit Your point is well taken. If you want to really understand what Angelina is about - and it's a varied and colourful world she inhabits - it really helps to go through her repertoire and development from the beginning. I've been doing that for years and I just realized that I don't really understand what she does any more than I did 5 years ago. So there's that :)

Rusty, it is great that you provide a brief "bio" of Angelina for the first time listeners of her covers. As much as we all love her voice, we also love the humble, compassionate girl she is. So, you may add to your future "bios" the fact that she refused singing kids' repertoire and always chose proper, "big" songs. BTW, her kinder-garden clip is priceless. The barefoot girl on the street was an orphan I believe in Iran, where her grandmother is from, so Angelina knew the language and was able to talk to her. In an interview, Angelina explained that the girl had a scale for weighing people for a small change. Angelina set down beside her and they spoke for a while. That was before the Norway talent show, which means she was not even seven at the time. It is extraordinary for a child of that age to do what she did - to seat down on a street in order to have a meaningful conversation and to try to help. That compassionate heart is the source of those emotions that are making us all spellbound while listening to her singing. Quite appropriately, her name describes her best - a little angel.👼🏻

Angelina is music. She puts her own take on every song she sings, just like Aurora does on her covers. Angelina also arranges the songs and rewrites the lyrics to fit her age her self, like she did with the song Back to black by Amy winehouse. I can't wait till you hear bohemian rapsody as well as yellow brick road, those will showcase her more mature voice, you will hear the difference, and i believe she was 13 when she sang bohemian, and turned 14 during the competition and is thus 14 when she sings yellow brick road, not that it matters much :) She sings fantastic, yet very differently from Aurora of course, but one should never compare artists like that anyways, uniqueness is their trademark

Hard for me believe you have not seen her. This was styled version she took from Jay Hawkins that she arranged both the lyrics and music. Her vocals are beyond incredible as she has at least 26 different voices you can distinguish and I don’t believe I have heard them all. I guarantee you will be amazed. Little history. She has been listening to Jazz since infancy introduced by her grandmother. She can first be seen singing at 18 months of age. She is scrolling through KZread from two to three looking for Jazz artists. At three she told her Mother she wanted to sing for Simon Cowell. At five you can see her leading interviewer through her home showing her toys and clothes. She stops stating guitar not good and picks up plastic toy guitar and starts singing Rolling In The Deep. At six you find her in a sound booth singing Tom Jones “I Who Have Nothing “ She is readying lyrics in English. She is now speaking Norwegian, Persian and English. At seven she auditions for Norway’s Got Talent singing Billie Holidays “Gloomy Sunday “ and wins the show singing “Summertime “ I know you love Aurora and I guarantee you will love Angelina. There is much to learn about her and others will add. She is possibly the most philanthropic human alive today. Be aware that if you board the train you will not be able to get off. Tell your friends and loved ones your going to be gone for a long time. Between Aurora and Angelina you will be consumed. It’s a Norwegian conspiracy to capture our souls.

This song was amazing and powerful and she can do that when she wants like with It's A Mans World, but most of her songs have a subtle magic, She has many different types of songs, some of my favorites are "Feeling Good" (jazz); A Million Years Ago" (Adelle); "La Boheme" (classical)' "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" (Country) "Valerie" (Amy Winehouse); "Fly Me To The Moon" (jazz)

As you may have found out, we have things in the water here. I can't tell you of course what it is but... There is a whole bunch of super talents coming out of Norway right now. This one, Jordan, is just getting better and better. She is so young here and she has gotten so much better now. Much more control and skill. Older and wiser. As it should be. Such a contrast to Aurora of course, which is my number one artist of all times.

Here's part of something I wrote to another who listened to the "wrong" version of this song, but if you want to be impressed with True Talent keep listening to her! These sugestions to the other apply to you just about as I have put them: In "I put a spell on you", when she recorded that at age 9, she had such a commitment to her interpretation, and "put it all out there" as she sang it, vocal coach reactors have said, she really could do damage to her voice if she continues to push so hard as she does performing this for us. [fantastic all out interpretation of a song by the artist "Screamin Jay Hawkins" she pays tribute to by holding a candle with his picture on it at the beginning] She no doubt was advised that by her vocal couch she had in the school she went to, where they encouraged the arts and so would have been partly guiding her development at that time. It's very likely she noticed a difficulty in her voice maybe days following that recording and realized she has to protect herself from doing damage to herself as she gives her all in EVERY performance she does. [she's been growing her talent and learning through the years with lots of different techniques and different types of songs, and simply Learning, Growing in her skill, as she is so excited to do!] This was a lesson she had to learn as she is on earth to enlighten us with what she brings and she learned here to give it her all, but not to her detriment. Not to hurt herself to do that, so she will be able to keep doing what she loves the best she can be at it. So basically since that first [a growing lesson that we are lucky to have had recorded] version of this song she has never [really she Can never, -as I have explained] sung it exactly the same way, as you'll see what I'm talking about if you listen to her in that one. Now for the links I strongly suggest you follow. Many people have given you the first one [this song in it's original state]. I will list that link too, but do keep on the journey. Your followers will grow greatly in numbers if you do. One last thing on the studio version in this link, she has written her "suggestions" to the director for the band. [she is arranging the song herself at age 9!] She has requested the changes to be made so sweetly the director smiles. [she wrote it was her "wish" if he could make those changes] [He did] And we end up with Angelina's vision and interpretation for us to marvel at all around the world. Another thing, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Jorden means Earth in Swedish/Norwegian so her name interpreted is Angelina Earth Star. Here is that first link again for you [do a second first time reaction!] "I Put a Spell on You"(9): kzread.info/dash/bejne/oKt6ztF8gLvgc9Y.html. Now for the difficult to shrink down suggestion list: Though other early performances [as she won the talent show at age 7/8] are great you should next go back to her studio recording at age 6!! of "I who have nothing". Angelina Jordan - I Who Have Nothing - Complete performance [6 yrs old] kzread.info/dash/bejne/hJ6FvK17oLnHldY.html To appreciate her different abilities : "A Million Years Ago"(12): kzread.info/dash/bejne/g3yA1ryKY9avp6g.html and her ability to belt if she wants to: Angelina Jordan - I Have Nothing (Whitney Houston Tribute) - Age 13 kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4iX2NiIZqWZedI.html And before we get to Bohemian Rhapsody and Yellow brick road listen to her own lyrics in: Angelina Jordan "Back to Black" Cover, with KORK, improvised lyric. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fpaMt62zf9unc7g.html [here she re-wrote the lyrics to not be so dark at her moms insistence in the limo ride on the way to the studio. Contrary to popular belief it is not just a few lines she re-wrote, she made at least some small change in every line of the song to make it less dark and more 10 year old appropriate. She got out of the car, walked into the studio took her shoes off and did it in one take. [I'll let others tell you the shoe story] Wicked game is another to show her talent: Angelina Jordan playing piano (Wicked Game) 2018 kzread.info/dash/bejne/nqJ3xMWaab27cps.html And finally "I'm Still Holding Out for You" kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqpsz8x8mJjPmag.html -This is a demo that Angelina recorded when she was around 10/11, that was "leaked" when she was 12. Angelina was not pleased that it was leaked, because the lyrics at the end implied suicide. She said she would never perform this song again. I do respect her decision. But this performance is really good! [the author - Baby Fuzz - didn't want or allow his lyrics changed so an outstanding performance by Angelina will not be repeated and only the "leaked" version will ever be heard] And finally [what for many has started it all] [the appreciation and "finding" of Angelina] her performances on AGT: [absolute must see both!] [can't find the shorter version of just the singing, this one has the whole show's episode of her] Angelina Jordan - Bohemian Rhapsody - America's Got Talent: The Champions One - January 6, 2020 kzread.info/dash/bejne/ep6nr5Wppa62otY.html and :her performance in the finals of AGT-C where she covers Sara Bareilles' version of Elton John's iconic song Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ep6nr5Wppa62otY.html

Surprise first and amazing reaction to Angelina, Adam, more than understandable and that's what fans expect when they recommend this song, the kid it's fun. It's a kind of investiture, the reaction to this song by Angelina, it's the watershed between simple listeners and fans. This in homage to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, the original writer and singer of 1956. Certainly not many adults know him, certainly the only little girl of 9 years in the world who knows him and who also thinks of singing him without any fear is Angelina. And it's incredible that this adaptation is all her own (the sheets written at the beginning of the video) and that at that age she was able to evaluate and transform, according to her sensitivity, such a particular and powerful song. 😊 Angelina is not only what you saw in this perfect performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level ❤️ This is a small part of the about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and her originals written between 11 and 12 years old, if they seem enough “Bang Bang” - Age 8 kzread.info/dash/bejne/opd20aRtaarenps.html “Summertime” - Age 8 kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKKkqNV8fq7gdso.html “At Last” - Age 8 kzread.info/dash/bejne/amVtxLNyeZC6Xco.html “Every Time We Say Goodbye” - Age 10 kzread.info/dash/bejne/fYaHq5qBnbeueqQ.html “Feeling Good”- Age 10 kzread.info/dash/bejne/omyfo65mo6qwqJs.html “What Is Life” - Age 12 (original song) kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKpk1Jlwe7GdgqQ.html "It's A Man's World" - Age 12 kzread.info/dash/bejne/enmhmdaAos2ve84.html “I Will Always Love You” - Age 11 kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6GgltaCcdS9hbw.html “Shield” - Age 12 (original song) kzread.info/dash/bejne/noWot8SPe8WWptY.html “Valerie” - Age 12 kzread.info/dash/bejne/paWhrK6kl86Yec4.html “Wicked Game” - Age 12 kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z311r6htdqfMp5c.html "Born To Die" - Age 12 kzread.info/dash/bejne/doKJj6qcfNi1j6w.html&start_radio=1 “Stay” - Age 12 kzread.info/dash/bejne/kXuHuLKvc9yZico.html “Song for A” - Age 13 (song written for her) kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKNnz8qxgLCTpaQ.html “When We Were Young” - Age 13 kzread.info/dash/bejne/k3x7tdWqgbLZZaw.html Or, if you prefer, you can react at her first 4 public performances of Norway's Got Talent in 2014 (so about two years before this of this video), those performances made during a few months are the her first public appearances, but you can already see what her was capable of and how her skills had improved in that limited period of time. It Is exceptional for a girl that young but that was a one-off performance. Her voice has changed growing up and later renditions have changed as well, beautiful but different (no dangerous growling). There are lots of live performance of hers that give you the exact dimension of her huge talent and, overall, her wonderful soul and capacity to convey emotions. Check them out!

Welcome aboard the Angelina train! She was 13 years old when she was on America's Got Talent: The Champions this year. She did not win, but the exposure of being on the show greatly expanded her fan base and popularity. Her voice has changed, but it is still so unique. This song you just heard was her paying homage to the singer and song. Her main influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Whitney Houston. She was exposed to jazz and blues music by her grandmother at a really early age. When you watch her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, this is what her voice really sounds like. This was the performance that really launched her popularity in the U.S. She has complete control of what to sing, how the song should be played in regards to tempo, what needs to be changed to fit her, and what singing voice to use. She does a lot of covers, but she has written some original songs as well....

Nobody ever expect her to sound like that. I've been following Angelina since she entered ngt when she was 7, and I simply knew the first time I saw her that she was gonna be a superstar, maybe Even a legend. But that Said, as you in many word say, this is a showsong, it is jawdropping that a tiny girl at the age of 9 can acctually sing or perform å song like the way she does. It is impressive, but this is not a 100% representative of how she acctually sings. She is known as the velvet Queen, that says much. But every cover she sings, she 100% makes her one. I do hope you react more to her so you can fin out for yourself how amazing this girl is. And yes, this is a dramatic song, a powerfull song, but I am sure Aurora could pull it of with simply accoustics. AURORA and Angelina, the two reaction favourites from Norway. Both so talented but so diffrent.

Well, she loves jazz and not many young children does that. She has so much soul (an old soul). She is much more than this and she doesnt use this kind of singing usually. She has a voice with so many layers that you will be amazed. You CANT stop with this reaction of Angelina! You need to continue. Quincy Jones said he hadnt seen a talent like hers since Michael Jackson. You should react to «Born to die» (Lana del Rey cover), «Goodbye Yellow Brick Road» (from AGT The champiosn), «A million years ago» (Adele cover), «I have nothing» (Whitney Houston tribute) to start her journey, cause you will be hooked! Start with these besides «Bohemian rapsody». Im eagerly waiting for your next Angelina reactions (and Aurora of course).. 😉 There are many more Norwegian artists (especially females) you should check out with amazing voices and songs (but you probably have a long wish-list allready).

I’m sure you know already that Angelina sang this song in the style of the original artist Screamin’ Jay Hawkins released in Nov 56. (Go Air Force - he came out of the AF in 52, the yr before I was born)) ( check it’s out) “Hawkins originally envisioned the tune as a refined ballad."[17] The entire band was intoxicated during a recording session where "Hawkins screamed, grunted, and gurgled his way through the tune with utter drunken abandon."[17] The resulting performance was no ballad but instead a "raw, guttural track" that became his greatest commercial success and reportedly surpassed a million copies in sales. "I Put a Spell On You" became a classic cult song, covered by a variety of artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nina Simone, Alan Price, the Animals, Them with Van Morrison, Arthur Brown, Bryan Ferry, Buddy Guy with Carlos Santana, Tim Curry, Leon Russell, Joe Cocker, Nick Cave in a concert only version, Marilyn Manson, Mica Paris with David Gilmour, Jeff Beck and Joss Stone, Diamanda Galas, and Annie Lennox in 2014 for her Grammy nominated album Nostalgia. Hawkins' original "I Put a Spell on You" was featured during the show and over the credits of the 2003 The Simpsons episode "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can". Nina Simone's version reached No. 120 Pop[16] and No. 23 on the U.S. The 2010 version by Jeff Beck featuring Joss Stone was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 53rd Grammy Awards. Finally, Angelina Jordan performs the song in a music video directed by Norwegian photographer Per Heimly. The black & white video, made to look as though you are watching an old film, includes film projector sound effects. It has been viewed more than 7.11 million times on KZread, and other video-sharing sites, as of June 2020. A tribute to the songwriter, Hawkins, appears briefly at the beginning of the video, when his picture appears on a candle. The video was uploaded to KZread on September 27th 2016, when Angelina was 10 years old. (Source Wikipedia Screamin’ Jay Hawkins and You Put A Spell on Me). And yes, Angelina made it to Wikipedia in I Put a Spell on You. Age 10.

This is the only song she has done like this. You are asked to do this for it’s shock value. You will have listen to about 10 songs to stop being surprised at how she sounds. She chops and changes, re-interprets a lot of covers. She’s 9 here and 13 when she did Bohemian Rhapsody. How she sounds for AGT is just for AGT, so when you listen to that don’t think everything else will be like that. Just like she did here, she pulls Bohemian Rhapsody completely to pieces and rebuilds it. It won’t be like any Bohemian Rhapsody you’ve heard before, but she’s not gone for shock value, it will be of a; oh like that moment. Queen liked it BTW.

In this particular performance, she is following the version of "Screamin" Jay Hawkins which was very out there (check it out). This style is very rare for Angelina. She is the contrary of showy, gimmicky performances type of artist. She's a natural jazz singer although she can sing the phone book and it will sound amazing, lol. As you listen to more of her performances you'll realize that. Three recommendations for you to fathom Angelina's amazing voice and style: "Summertime" her finale song at Norway's Got Talent at 8 years kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKKkqNV8fq7gdso.html "It's a Mans World" live (12 years old) kzread.info/dash/bejne/enmhmdaAos2ve84.html and Adele's "When We Were Young" and "Shield" her original composition live (13 years old) kzread.info/dash/bejne/k3x7tdWqgbLZZaw.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y6x6pKmvirOnhdI.html Take into account these last two are fan recordings, not edited, nor professional. Great review. I like how you broke it down, and how you recounted your reaction, including technical points, as well as personal impressions. Ya, I was shocked too, when I heard this young lady for the first time. Somehow, she gives these classic tunes some fresh energy, and I don't think it's just that she's so young. I think her tone is really great, and she makes interesting and creative choices, and like you said, it seems to just materialize with ease from her mouth. It'll be very interesting to see where she goes, which direction, and so forth, particularly in this era when the recording industry seems to be a shadow of its former self, and obviously, live performances are even more rare.

The growls and performance you see here are at 7 years old. She is now 14 and has come a long way even though she was fantastic then. She has over 125 covers and originals on KZread spanning The seven years. Almost all of them emphasize the singing rather than the performance, including Bohemian Rhapsody which you mentioned, and was done recently. For you, it will be jaw-dropping!

That is the way the song was written and sung originally by Screamin' Jay Hawkins in 1956. (Its his picture on the coffee cup she shows at the beginning). She was charting all the way up to her performance. Often I see people expect the Creedence Clearwater version.

To really understand the ingenuity of this cover, you need to see the Screaming Jay Hawkins version. This version is a tribute to him much more than the Nina Simone version. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k2V1p8Gbc9K2g6w.html I am both a huge Aurora fan and a massive Angelina follower. Angelina has a thousand voices. She is a force to be reconed with. Listen to the origina SJH version and see if that changes your view, and do more Angelina! Don't stop your Aurora train though. Love it!

I would say she chose the Screaming Jay Hawkins version but as usual did her own version. Having watched Angelina since Norway's got Talent, this 75 year old great grandmother is completely mesmerized by the humility, graciousness and talent of this young lady ♥

Great reaction! No matter how many times I watch this, that screech kills me all the time 😂😂😂 but you will not hear this voice in any other of Angelina's videos. This was an homage to Screamin'Jay Hawkins kzread.info/dash/bejne/oaaC0qpvmdzVm6w.html and she did an outstanding job with this tribute! I'm looking forward to watch your next reactions to Angelina 😉

Yessss, that scream! I keep wondering why more people don't say much about it. I can't get enough of her singing this as a nine year old. Angelina sang it again a couple of years later, but I love this version far more.

I'm very happy you reacted to Angelina, she is amazingly talented, she cover a lot of songs in many different styles and always put her own spin on it. She has 3 originals that can be found on KZread, the one I like a lot is "Shield". So many good things to say about Angelina and a lot is already said in others comments ;o) To me she is the princess of Jazz and I'm following her since her first Norways got talent audition popped out on KZread, 6 or 7 years ago. It would be nice to have a reaction on her Norways got talent journey, here is a link of a 10 minutes video with all songs she performed during the contest. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWaWupNupLyshs4.html It is nice to discover a new artist starting by the beginning ;o) Thank you for your reaction, you made my day. Stay safe and take care.

The vocalizations by themselves are astounding. She did that between the other stuff, as if to relax.
