ABBA, the Swedish supergroup, were huge back in the day. Their music dominated radio and television, not to mention clubs and discos.

Many, many millions in album sales. Everyone in Sweden had at least one record to go along with their world success. I am quite sure they sold north of 100 million copies. Something to look up now. I once heard 250 but that sounds way high.

@@tonybarnett1158 they sold about 400 million records in total! only third in all-time sales (behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley)

@@mathewsj0629 I did some research and you are absolutely correct. According to Forbes, ABBA has sold an estimated 385 million records worldwide. Wow! 11.2 million in singles alone(4th of all time). Impressive.

It became really hard to keep putting ABBA down when their world-wide record sales are somewhere in the 200-300 million range.
The Who, one of the greatest rock bands of all time, headlined at Woodstock, their writer Pete Townsend says of SOS by Abba: it's the greatest pop song ever. It's perfect.

U2 occasionally covered this song in concert. All top flight rockers knew of the genius of ABBA
Dancing Queen hit number 1 in every country on Earth I think when it came out. It was a HUGE hit word wide.
One of the biggest acts of the 1970s, ABBA took their unique brand of pop perfection to the top of most international charts from 1974-82. They have a lot of amazing songs you should react to. "Take a Chance on Me", "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "The Winner Takes It All", "Fernando", "Mamma Mia", "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (a Man After Midnight)", "Lay All Your Love on Me", "Chiquitita", "Voulez-Vous", "Waterloo", "One of Us", "The Day Before You Came", and many others are worth checking out.
Swedish band. They were huge in the 70s. Two married couples(that later divorced) React to The Winner Takes It All.

You could not turn on pop radio in the mid-late 70s without hearing Abba at least once an hour..My favorite was Fernando. I Have a Dream is great too. They were so talented. Watch the movie Mamma Mia..all Abba songs.

You can go down a real rabbit hole with ABBA. They have scores of hit songs. One of my favorites is "S.O.S."
Yass you should do more ABBA songs like Waterloo which they won Eurovision in 1974 with or Mamma Mia
@ronaldcardinali2809

They won with the song "Waterloo"
There is a really cute movie called “Muriel’s Wedding,” where the young girls are really obsessed with ABBA.
I think the thing that always stood about ABBA was the great harmonies.
Simply the greatest pop song ever
ABBA were huge in Australia. Their music still is and features in Aussie movies ‘Muriels Wedding’ and ‘Priscilla - Queen of the Desert’
I love ABBA, went to Sweden, went to their museum, took the tour, bought a t-shirt and would still go back.
1973-1982 ABBA were the biggest band on Earth. Probablly the best "pop" act of all time. And english wasnt their 1st language.
U could not get away from ABBA in the 70’s their songs were everywhere
I love ABBA. They are from Sweden and were one of the most successful groups of the 1970s. "Dancing Queen" went to #1 on the pop charts in 1977 and is one of the best pop/disco songs ever recorded.
Winner Takes It All, Fernando, and many other will show their incredible vocal range.
Try out "Take a Chance On Me" from ABBA that is another great one!
Best dancing song of all time.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE ABBA!!!!!
Abba made the best in the world.
We had great music and fun back then flowing 😊
May 21, 2021 the official video of "Dancing Queen" the biggest global success of ABBA exceeded 500,000,000 views on KZread and #ABBA remastered it in HD Spectacular image, it's like being there with Them thanks so much to ABBA and congratulations to Agnetha Fältskog Benny Andersson Björn Ulvaeus Anni Frid Lyngstad
Back to my teenage years love your reaction
They go so low and so high. No falsetto. Amazing singers.
super big hit of the 70's.
I am obsessed with disco, like obsessed! I’m 53 years old, grew up listening to it,because my mom was a disco queen! ABBA is the shit, periodt.
You should really dive into Abba, they will make you very happy.
Everybody loves ABBA. Everybody has heard ABBA. Everybody just don't realize it. And even then they still love ABBA.
Two of the best singers you could hear,,
I knew you'd like ABBA. You look like my daughter and have some of the same expressions. I'm glad you are having fun.
Great reaction! Nice background. Abba are fun. Can you please react to Gimme Gimme Gimme by Abba. I guarantee you'll know the music. Its really catchy and fun. 😉
This is my favorite song of all time
Everything from abba is great! Keep going please.
OBOY! Discovering ABBA for the first time and liking it. Now you have a HUGE catalog of songs to react to! And the outfits, oboy, the outfits, soo seventies! (ABBA was some of the very first artists to make music videos) There were no clothing consultants back in those days, so be forewarned...LOL! And if you continue to react to ABBA, be ready for more Australian subscribers, they were so huge down under it's crazy... I'm a Swede, and it wasn't cool here to be a ABBA fan back in the day, because they were a commercial band and not socially conscious enough. They were really good though, and now we have a ABBA museum...
And now they are back. Glory be
More ABBA, please! :)
The band was named after the initials of the first names of the members - Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn, Annafrieda

My absolute favorite group!
Abba music just makes you happy 😃
...and down the rabbit hole we go ; )
I can't even explain how big ABBA were - and still are - in Europe. They made eight studio albums over a period of 10 years. They quit in 1982, but became a lasting cultural phenomenon. They were two couples: Anni-Frid (the dark-haired singer) and Benny (the pianist) were together, and Agnetha (the blond singer) and Björn (the guitarplayer) were together. While being in ABBA, both couples split up, and their last records were as sad as their first records were cheerful.
The bar I used to go to in college in the 90s always played this at the end of the night. My friends and I would always dance to this. Good memories. I still love this song.
LOVE THE ABBA MACHINE
Love ABBA! So much good music from them! So 70's,so awesome!
ABBA were a hit making machine. In 2000 they knocked back one billion dollars $$$$ from a US/UK consortium to rejoin for a 250 concert global tour.
Beautiful reaction to this Classic. Watch the Film Muriel's Wedding!! You'll love it..
I get so pumped when I see the young generation getting into what we grew up on
Even when I'm old and on my zimmer frame when this songs comes on I will crawl to the dance floor and own it.
Wow they had a bunch of hits ,,,to many to name ,,They all are great songs
They werent just huge in the 70s...they transcend time, and have been very popular in the 90s and they still sell their songs in gold albums etc,got ABBA museums, and musicals based on their music..they are timeless...timeless popularity.
You’re beautiful too & I love your spirit! 💜
I chair dance while listening to abba also❤
BBC journalists made a 100 best songs ranking of all times, some years ago. Dancing Queen ranked about 10th... and the text said it was, among all of 'em, the one that should represent Earth's culture on an eventual contact with extraterrestrial life
When I am feeling depressed or sorry for myself, I put Dancing Queen on and crank up the volume. Works every time.
I love ABBA more pls
This is the perfect dance song. Impossible to sit still. You just have to get up and dance when it comes on.
I was 17 when this was released and boy did I think I was that dancing queen! Great memories!
One of the greatest songs of all time.
Two sisters who married two brothers. Most excellent.
Check out Abba's "SOS" and "Name of the Game". What's interesting is that the girls (and their husbands) were in their 30's when singing here about being "17".. Seems they got started late, but had a great run!
Did you see the move “Mama Mia”? This and many ABBA songs are in it.
They were big when I was in my 20’s. Two married couples from Sweden.
Though Dancing Queen never won a Grammy it was indicted in their hall of fame a few years ago. This Swedish supergroup was very popular in the 70s and I heard this song in the movie Muriel's Wedding. Take a Chance on Me is one of my favorites from ABBA.
Love Abby! Try Fernando! Great song
Fun watching you. ABBA’s BEST song and one of my top 5 disco tunes - and I don’t like disco! 😜 🎶 Way cool dance moves by those two ladies. 💃🎶 💃
In my opinion, this is when the girls have the best ABBA look with their hair style.
More ABBA, please!!!
I was 11 when this song came out. DISCO TIME.🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺🕴💃🕺
Would be a good idea to experience their songs in order of popularity and chart performance....good start with Dancing Queen as it reached number one on the billboard charts. Follow with: Take a Chance on Me, Waterloo, The Winner Takes it All, SOS, Fernando, Knowing Me, Knowing You, The Name of the Game, Does Your Mother Know, Mamma Mia, Honey Honey, When All is Said and Done, I Do I Do, Chiquitita,
Me and my best friend when we were kids would listen to her mom's records and ABBA'S greatest hits was always one of our favorites. You can't help but dance right along. A couple of other good songs from ABBA are Chiquitita, Fernando, Mamma Mia, Take a chance on me, and S.O.S.
It was said that at their height, ABBA were Sweden's biggest money earners - bigger than Volvo.
ask your mom about this song. she probably know. this is the best pop ban ever born. and the biggest selling done after elvis/Beatles/Michael Jackson. legendary band. I'm still 23 but I love mid 70s and 80s more then morden songs. because I grew up with this songs.
Your learning how to identify music from multiple sources, that means you are " acquiring an ear for music" and you will have an enormous library of music that you can identity. You may want to consider making a living out of it by becoming a music historian. Cataloging music for future generations to discover like you are. And because you are in part, immortal now. Now that you are forever in digital format, you are also making history and that is just another facet of cataloging music for posterity. This field has many facets that are extremely diverse and interesting with endless possibilities. Good luck.
ABBA is life
They perform this song for the Swedish royal couple when they got married 1976, especially for Queen Silvia in think.
From England my fav when I was 17
They will always be one of my favorites!!! Thanks for playing it!!💕💕
everybody disco !!!!!!!!
Greatly arranged pop music. So fun to listen to. 🙌🙌
I have always admitted to loving ABBA, the first music documentary I ever watched as kid was about ABBA. My favorite song of theirs isn't even one of their hits, but the King Kong song will always be my favorite ABBA song. Thanks for the wonderful reactions and keep em coming. I love your channel BTW.
Check out ABBA’s the winner takes it all
100% pure metalhead here, but damn I love me some ABBA.
ABBA's BEST Song
My friend and I were obsessed with these guys when we were young. So fun.
I was a junior in high school and 17 when this song was released.

Feeling the beat there Jayy? 😊 Great reaction.
This brings me back to my childhood. I’m glad you shared it with us put me in a good mood with your dancing 😊
I love your intro and the decorations!!!!
Even when you haven’t heard them before, chances are you probably did hear them once in some form or configuration. That’s the power of ABBA. They’ll forever be omnipresent.
Another great version of this fantastic song is by "Bjorn Again full concert 98". Dancing Queen is at 38.00 , but the whole concert is superb.
It's from the film 'Mama Mia', it was a musical. Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan etc. But I just love watching the video of ABBA. Such a shame both couples split up.
aww great stuff thank you xx
Musical brilliance
Great 70's band during the disco era
