The part where he namedrops the dictators is because he formed the OUTLAWZ clique and named each member after those figures. He changed the spelling of their names though. Here are the members of the OUTLAW IMMORTALZ: 1. 2pac alias MAKAVELI (Niccolò Machiavelli) 2. Big Syke alias MUSSOLINI (Benito Mussolini) 3. Mopreme alias KOMANI (Ayatollah Khomeini) 4. Big Malcom alias E.D.I MEAN (Idi Amin) 5. Yaki Yafeu alias YAKI KADAFI (Muammar Gaddafi) 6. Katari Cox alias KASTRO (Fidel Castro) 7. Bruce Washington Jr alias HUSSEIN FATAL (Saddam Hussein) 8. Mutah Beale alias NAPOLEON (Napoleon Bonaparte) The other two members named YOUNG NOBLE and female STORM joined the group later on and were never given monikers.

@@alonerpunk Mopreme and Syke were the only Thug Life memebers to follow Pac to Death Row and they were included in the new clique which was called "OUTLAW IMMORTALZ" which was formed in October 1995 when Pac came home. Syke and Mopreme were part of it. However, Mopreme and Syke had issues with Pac here and there and therefore had left the group by around April of 1996 and from then Pac changed the name to just OUTLAWZ which was basically all his little homies.

Pac was NOT a gangster. Pac told you in his own words that he was not a gangster. He created the word Thug so that people wouldn't confuse him with gangsters. Now, was Pac down to ride for whoever he was running with?! Yes!!! Was Pac will to throw down without warning for his friends?! Yes!!! Was Pac willing to brandish steel in self-defence or the defence of others?! Yes!!! He proved ALL of those things countless times. Pac did not attack Baby Lane because he was a crip. Pac attacked Baby Lane because he know BabdBoy were using South Side as security when they came to LA, and he know Puffy had allegedly put a bounty on Death row Chains and earlier that summer, Baby Lane had tried to take Tre's chain. Therefore Pac felt responsible for that, he felt like he brought that drama to them, so he was standing in his square. "Nicca I don't give a fuck if you blood pr cuzz, long as you got love for Thugs" The GOAT Also, he named the Outlawz after figures that America hated and demonised.

Y'all crazy. Pac is my #1 rapper if ALL TIME, and was a gangsta. An intelligent one who tried to change the world and represent every aspect of being a black man in America, but he was a thug/intelligent gangsta. He wasn't soft, strong as fuck and never backed down. Which is why he died. EVERY thing he said he meant. Was teaching strength to black men. And he did bang and was associated with gangs.

@@BB-yo9yp I respect your opinion. But in my opinion the term gangsta can be interpreted how you want it. But PAC wasn't Soft. He wasn't too be fucked with and got into shit, which led to his death. Unfortunately he was real and that caused his death.

@@DuaneIsAwful I'm sorry but we can't talk about "interpretations". We've got people out here trying to devalue Pac's message and marginaslise him as a gangster rapper or a wanna be ganster. Pac was neither. Pac told you in his own words he did NOT want to be confused with gangsters, that's why he called himself a Thug. He told us that he never considered hisd music to be ganster rap, it was soul music, it was spiritual. In my opinion Pac was way harder than any of these ignorant street gangsters who ignorantly take life. Pac was about it. He wasn't a punk, but he wasn't an ignorant gangster without purpose. Much love.

To me, that last verse shows the paradox of 2pac and others. So, he raps about all of this street stuff, killing people, etc. But, he also wanted to make a difference. I think its also meant to say that, him rhyming about that stuff isn't the cause of it. He's depicting what already is. In his prime, his music was the subject of government controversy, with politicians saying he and others were the cause of the crime rate. So, I think he's touching on that. Lastly, 2Pac was very open about his non-street life upbringing. He was a school kid, in music and acting, theatre, poetry, etc. However, he grew up very poor, which led him to be around all this street stuff he describes. Only in his later years was he ever really about that life. He was gang affiliated, particularly with death row. But, I don't think he was ever truly about that life. Thats part of why he was killed. He put himself in a world he didn't belong to, and one he wanted to change. Its all pretty complex and sad.

The names of dictators he is shouting out is the aliases of the Outlawz. The Outlaws are his "Group" like Jr. Mafia was Biggies. You gotta understand this about Biggie. Dude could spit. He was a lyricist for sure BUT.. His whole style was take from Tupac. Everything Tupac did Big just mimicked it. Which cause tension in their friendship and why Pac went so hard at him. But his Group The Outlawz are named after dictators mostly. Quote from a E.D.I. Mean interview taken from VladTV. "While [Tupac] was in jail he was reading a lot of books," Mean remembers, who would go visit and converse with him about his latest reads. One time Pac told him that going forward they would be called the Outlaw Immortalz, with each member named after an enemy of the United States. When it came to deciding the aliases, Pac was adamant on choosing "actual people" that they "knew this country despises," tying it back to Black males being despised in America.

Death is worse than jail. He died a violent death. He shot an off duty police officer because they were jumping on another brother. He did jail time behind a questionable sexual assault. He was shot another time before his Vegas incident that took his life. He was a product of the inner city. What doesn't make sense about him writing this? Why would you question this? How much must one go through for you to find their lyrics credible? I would say he lived a troublesome life, as many of us do or did.
