    2pac was asked once to describe himself. He said I'm an intelligent nut. It's his dichotomy. Smart enough to do anything straight As. But situations and his parents being panthers. He is radical in his actions. Raised by females he is very emotional. And this is the result. Just raw music about every subject

    Not snitching is more about not throwing the next man under the bus because you are too much of a coward to face up to what you did when you are caught. You took part in it, you chose it, so you live with it if you get busted. The hatred for snitches is about them being untrustworthy and losing their ability to consider themselves men. It's never about cleaning up the dirty and making the world a better place, it's about avoiding the consequences at the expense of someone else , the same consequences that you better accept if you are in that lifestyle.

    Found this channel a few days ago. Already a fan. Super thoughtful reviews and educated, intelligent commentary on the lyrics. I grew up in western NY. Fan of tupac since digital underground days. Also love biggie. I clearly remember the west coast/east coast time in hip hop history. Being in the tupac camp, hit me hard when he died at his prime. Clearly remember the mtv news flash when he was shot and then when they announced his death. Respect to you for being open minded to his lyrics and style, being a hardcore biggie fan. It all comes together in the end and we can all agree, they were both the best in their respective points of view (style and visualizations) and lyricism.

    You can literally just pick any song he has and it's worth a reaction. He's a very complex person as well as rapper. Very contradictory. As is life. He can be placed in several categories but you can't tie him down to one. But In life there are no absolutes. He has a song for every feeling and it seems every situation. He's not my personal number 1 favorite (top 5 tho) or best rapper imo but he's without question the greatest of all time. His legacy proves it. I suggest Blasphemy from the Makaveli album or Str8 Ballin off of the Thug Life album. Or Death Around the Corner from the Me Against the World album All 3 have been my favorite song at some point in my life

    If someone is doing dirt they should not be telling on someone else that's doing dirt just so they don't get time because they got caught. You do the crime, then do the time. But someone like me, who ain't doing dirt, illegal stuff, you do something to someone I love, or steal from me, if it's bad enough where I kinda lose my mind over it, I'm gonna take care of it myself. But if I have time to think and realize my life and freedom ain't worth whatever the person did to me or my family or friends, then I'm going to go the authorities. If I know you murdered someone in cold blood that's not a street person or into illegal things and that family is mourning, I'm going to the authorities. I ain't a snitch because I'm just a regular person, not into crime and illegal activity, watching out for my family and my community. We need to learn how to take care of our families and communities. We'll let a killer run wild just so we not labeled a snitch. A snitch is someone doing dirt but get caught and then tell on someone else that's doing or did dirt just to avoid or decrease jail or prison time.

    We are all a product of our environment. thugs and dealers and criminals are locked up only for the next generation to follow the same route, not by choice but because of limited recourses and help. the hood remains the same to this day. I feel Pac was addressing the situation from a higher perspective and was trying to make change from the top down. a lot of the time good people are forced to do haines things in order to survive and people looking from the outside in have a harder time understanding this. @8:30 loyalty is very important when you don't have people watching your back and feel like you cant turn to the justice system for justice. hope this helps with understanding this perspective.

    In my neighborhood if someone is being wreckless and hurting people that are not involved we call civilians, if someone messed with a civilian they are disciplined, if they do it again after being disciplined then they made their own fate and we would do what's needed to be done !! This keeps the Streets safe and the police out of our business! The civilians are not afraid of us as we don't feel the threat of anyone Snitch and police coming around with intentions of arrest !!

  • @Day-OSeven5SS
    @Day-OSeven5SS16 күн бұрын

    So here is my understanding of snitching. Or my ethics on it. At least how it was taught to me by my elders and by my elder convicts in prison. If a civilian tells on you. It’s a civilian. That’s what they do. We can’t go after or attack them. But if someone involved in the same lifestyle snitched on you. And understands the dope game. Or the gang life or whatever it is we are doing. They know the consequences of being caught. You don’t rat on your friends or comrades living the same way. I also learned. If you are going to go the route of the streets you can’t go half way in. You go all the way in. And these are the rules. So once someone snitches the cops/feds will work with that person. Allowing them to live a street life but report on everyone else doing the same things. Back in my day. If you represented a certain neighborhood. You protected it. No burglaries. No selling drugs. No shootings. Respect the elders and the children. The beef was with other neighborhoods that didn’t have those rules set. Or tried to do it to our neighborhoods

    It's simple. If you're not in the game, the rules don't apply. So it's not considered snitching if u talk to the Cops. But if you're in that world, snitching is literally the most dangerous thing u can do cos one snitch can reveal enough to get everyone sent to jail. So that why criminals hate snitches... I guess...

    Benefit of not snitching: You might not know the full truth. You might snitch on the wrong person. That person gets convicted. Comes out of prison rest to do crime. Because our prison system isn’t meant to rehabilitate. It’s only to punish. Statistics prove that point. You snitch and not the police might have legal reason (or “legal” reason) to conduct searches. They find things that might be illegal but not really harmful. Maybe they don’t arrest that person then, but now they’re on that person later on. Harassing them. Causing even greater over policing. Over policing has a strong relationship to crime rates. The community doesn’t trust the police because of how the police have treated it. Now, they trust them even less. Tensions rise. What happens when tensions rise? There’s much more, but I’m tired.

    Snitching more so for those in thug/gang life - it’s like a gangs most absolute law/code/protocol/rule, black/blue/red whatever color chapter, it’s th only rule they all unconsciously consciously true to. & is th key to sifting out those who are betrayers within their circle. Thug life’s everything to those in it, it’s real & it’s serious to them & snitching is a code they all take to heart I guess. Tupac is a helper but he was thug life in th end so regardless he just ain’t gone snitch no matter th reason..

    Snitching rule only applies to ppl making $ via the streets, most often gang members but not only. A regular citizen is not snitching, just telling the truth.

    Im assuming he means the accomplice or crimiey takes a deal to testify. The snitch can be the real guilty party

    There's nobody clean though. The police could just pick and choose from anyone. Snitching helps them pick one out. Even-though we are all sinners, we need to progress together. It's like a slave getting another slave in trouble. The slaves should settle things among themselves, and not allow a third party that doesn't even care, judge and punish. Something like that.
