The vocalist Till Lindemann is a certified pyrotechnician (and madman 😜). The first rows in a Rammstein concert are called the "firezone". I was at one of their events and it's very true ! Rammstein filed a lawsuit against the indexing of the album at the time and was proved right. You have to read the lyrics properly. They don't glorify anything, but they reflect society for better or for worse (more for worse).

There's nothing particularly controversial about the lyrics in this song - it's more of a spectacle than anything really deep by comparison to the majority of their songs . Their music videos especially - " Deutschland " - " Zeit " - " Angst " & " Zik-Zak " are well worth a watch ( and listen ) - the production values on the first two are INSANE ! Well, but there are two little "controversial" specialities in the lyrics. You only really get these when your native tongue is German. 1) the obvious distinction of "du hast" and "du hasst" ("you have" and "you hate", same pronounciation), he is unmistakably playing with that, a pun. 2) The second one is more delicate and hidden: „Willst du bis der Tod euch scheide ..." ("... till death do you part") and the divergent version "Willst du bis zum Tod der Scheide ..." ("... till the death of the vagina") 🙂 .................... („Willst du bis der Tod Euch scheide treu ihr sein für alle Tage? Nein! Willst du bis zum Tod der Scheide Sie lieben auch in schlechten Tagen? Nein!“)

The lyrics of Du Hast are not controversial in the slightest. It's basically a song about loyalty , based on the boss said at weddings. Will you be loyal to her, the female voice says yes, the make voice says no. The album you mentioned was their sixth studio album, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da ( Love is there for everyone) and the listing of the album by the German authorities was a bit of a reach. A parental advisory sticker would have sufficed but even then, a song can't change a person's sexuality or encourage " deviant sexual behaviour ". If it could, we'd all be in trouble! The song themes you mentioned as well need to be taken in context as several of them are references to deal life incidents in Europe. Rammstein isn't to everyone's taste but as with a lot of things in life, it's better to draw your own conclusions based on experience rather than what others tell you about things.

Thank you, though I wait until no more music plays or it turns black before I stop. I don't want to cut the video off, so I re watched it again and it was done that last bit of noise was the dying out of the fans. But I could be wrong, but I do normally wait until there is no music or what have you before stopping. Thank you for watching.

The "stein" in Rammstein is pronounced like the "stein" in Frankenstein or Einstein and not like the "steen" in Springsteen. 😉
