Best atmosphere! 🌿

The mashed potatoes were likely for stabilization. I imagine the tomatoes would be leaning instead of standing cutely without some support. There are multiple ways to solve the problem (chop the bottom off the tomato, use a disc of mozzarella, etc) but they already had the mash available and it's easy to just pipe a little onto the tray.

I think the math potato was used as kinda a glue to keep the tomatoes skewers standing up and it wouldn't affect the taste to much.

Woah! Long vlog in the making! I’d probably order a lot of food too when I finally dine there. The souvenirs were really cute too! I’d buy something for sure.

kuruma keki looked kawaii! Looked really fun time and great experience! So nice souvenirs to buy for your home decoration!

The only anime theme cafe I’d get excited about would be The Castle Cagliostro, with the huge plate of spaghetti and meatballs Lupin/Jigen eat in town, the cup noodles they eat whilst doing recon, the sausages/bread/veg Lupin eats while recovering from injury, and the soft-boiled egg Count Lazare eats at breakfast when talking with Jodot.

Apparently there are a lot of theme cafes in Japan but most are not very good and weakly themed. Luckily I heard the kirby one is actually the best one there for actual theming. So you chose wisely.

Of any restaurant in world, this one is probably hardest to get into kinda for it's type. Michelin star restaurant can be walk in. This one is more exclusive lol

You might be able to..! Otherwise, there is a Kirby shop in the Sky Tree Oshiage shopping centre area!

Super cute right! Sadly they charge wayy too much for it tho :( It was 1,400 yen when I first visited, but now it's nearly 1,800!!!

Lifehack: if you're touring Japan anyway, go to the one in Fukuoka instead of the one in Tokyo. Reservation is way easier, no problem to get in there.

Try to get a reservation for a last minute cancellation! Requires periodically checking the website, but I've managed to grab a reservation twice that way!

My daughter and I went to the Kirby cafe in Tokyo skytree last Thursday. We found it such a disappointment, it’s so hard to get a reservation but the food is bland and overpriced, we left every bit of our meals (and drinks) and ended up getting Onigiri from the family mart! I really wouldn’t bother going if you are a fan.

Unsurprisingly. Most of these types of cafes are for the experience rather than the food. We avoided any type of themed cafe or restaurant when we were in Japan last week.

No not cold, but really sub standard compared to everything else you will eat in Japan

The burger looked pretty bland compared to one you would buy in a aussie fish and chip shop. I guess it's no difference to any of the other burger chain offerings which can leave a lot to be desired. The pizza and latte on the other hand looked excellent.

Families can’t get spots because it’s being taken by over grown child influencers sorry but this needs to stop. There is no way to get a reservation, have tried many times. We are going to Japan our first time. Our son wants to go to pokemon and Kirby cafe so bad but both are now a no go due to all these spots being taken.. most videos I see are of people witn no kids…
