    You can get drill bits that run in reverse direction with extraction kits and if you drill slowly on the post with a small bit it may grab the post and unscrew it 👍 If not, just use the extractor once you have the hole drilled.

  • @RCKnockout

    Actually I have quite a few extraction tools including the reverse bits….unfortunately all of the smaller ones I have are broken…they break really easily when you put pressure on them….the main issue is even if I can get it extracted….it’s just gonna continue to happen on big impacts

    I had the same problem with the exact same rc. My battery post kept breaking in the same spot. I took a small cut off wheel on my Dremal and cut a opening on either side of where the battery sits in and just use a normal battery Strap through the 2 openings and over the battery. Works great and easy to get the battery in and out..

    @@RCKnockout I just use a velcro strap that goes across the top of the battery from left to right. I cut a small line in each side of the battery tray. Put the strap though there and slide the battery underneath it.. then all you have to do to get the battery in and out is losen or tighten the velcro strap. I just used a generic rc battery strap I bought on ebay for a few dollars. It has lasted about a year now and no more losing clips for the battery hold down. Hope this helps

    To get that piece out. , U can either slice it in the middle with a super thin Dremel cutting wheel. And remove it with a small flathead. Or u can trim some of the plastic around the broken shaft. Exposing just enuf to vice grip or plier out the broken piece. As far as after u get it out... It may be more inconvenient but I'd consider a long hardened screw/bolt with a washer to screw down the batterytray top piece

  • @RCKnockout

    @RCKnockout

    Жыл бұрын

    Yeah I’m not super worried about the extraction part….but figuring out how to combat this in the future is gonna be the major task….so your saying I should use a screw through the bottom of the chassis and a nut to hold down the battery strap?

  • @modzilla74

    @modzilla74

    @@RCKnockout no, I'm suggesting u use a bolt in place of the part that broke. U would have to screw it in or out everytime u change the battery. But it would be a much stronger piece of metal holding it down.
