B Belcher this motor alone costs about $6500 in the US. the next lowest model, P200, costs $4500. if your financial situation is the kind where you have to think twice about $20,000 at a time on a hobby, then this product is not for you.

solomonshv Well thats the stupidest thing I've read in quite awhile, I'm part owner in a REAL airplane and paid CONSIDERABLY less than half of that. A good scrounger, that knows a machinist, can shop Alibaba, and build one of these engines producing as much thrust or more for a $1000. A couple fellows with some gonads about them could put together a company to build them (the engines) for a third or less of the advertised price simply by having a You Buy it its Yours, attitude and be in the business for the passion of it and foregoing 6 figure salaries with all the perks etc. Stick around long enough, (assuming I do too) and you may see it yet.

  • @solomonshv

B Belcher you're still not getting it! no one gives a shit about what you paid for your airplane! i could have bought a honda accord for $25,000, but I didn't. i bought a porsche panamera turbo for 6 times more. did i need need to spend that money? no. but i did because I wanted to. if a person wants an RC plane that costs 100 grand and he can afford it, then he'll buy it.

You know, people always say "First time start." or "First start/run.", but actually, it's not the first time that brand new turbine which you bought first hand right out of its box was started. You're not the first one to lay hands on it and work with it via a receiver either. At the factory it was already fired up. All the electronic computer controlled equipment was such as the pump, starter motor thermometer, rev meter ecu & gsu etc. were also tested to see if everything works as it should and to see if it responds to receiver signals. It was also programmed there for you before it was boxed and shipped to whatever shop in the world has ordered stock. Everything gets tested before boxing and shipping to shops. They can't afford it to let faulty products get packed and shipped to shops.
