Wow! That is awesome! I think you need some extremely high torque parts for your transmission and driveshaft! You may also want some longer gears so you aren't shifting so often. I can't wait until you fix all the bugs and show this going down a drag strip! That will be a wild day!

I heard Jay Leno mentioned one of his builds did something similar mounted to a box and at like half power it broke the gears I should find the clip and outstanding thanks for reaching out to tell me this was possible!!!

The engine sounds great! Looks like you’re struggling for some traction and leaving some very long tire tracks - the torque output must be pretty nuts.

If you can find a drive train that can cope, that beast is a tire Shredding burnout machine! Anytime anywhere any throttle position, just Scorch the tires, excellent progress!...... maybe you need the gearbox from a tank also!

Thank you very much. Well, we tried it in a dyno, but it couldn't handle the power. But we got 3000 Nm@1800 rpm. So it will be a lot of torque at 3400 rpm with boost too. We guess that it is over 5000 Nm, maybe more 😃👍

Consider getting a replica GCC grille -- it will look so much better on the Meteor Interceptor. It's available on eBay and I have one on my car for the upcoming car show season.

I'm getting wisps of merlin then the turbos kick in. Guessing it's a turbo400, which when built can handle a lot but it must still be not having a fun time with the torque of the turbos kicking in. Maybe a different convertor needed?

Well we live in a country with a very loooong winter, so the driving season for this kind of car is not so long 😃👍

I think you need a little ratio change somewhere to keep that thing in the upper half of it's rpm range pretty much whenever it's moving. Seems like too big a vacuum difference for the thing to deal with trying to drive it down closer to idle.. maybe. Idk. Seems a big ask for an engine like that to have any rapidity of throttle response like you're used to in a car.

The only car with a motor like this that Ive recently seen moving is Jay Leno's Merlin powered car. Perhaps he could give you some advice on the drive train setup.

Your best bet would be for a built 2 speed powerglide transmission if that's not what you have now.

Well we are using a TH400 that is dragracing prepped. But it is a bit difficult since nothing is normal with this setup! 😂But we will get there, we have a lot of very experienced people in our team 😃👍

Well since the engine is so low rev, we have a planetary gear that revs up the rpm 2,77x. Then we have a dragracing prepped TH400 😃👍

No traction and the gearbox isn't holding.. Wonder why that is..? :D :D Could it be the overweight block..? It needs the transmission and rear gear from F-750. The V10 platform should be close enough to hold, at least a while. To get it hook, not a chance. Maybe if the engine moves to back seat. As it sits, it's just constant feed of drive line parts.

No the block is not overweight at all. It is made of aluminum and only weighs 600kg, considered that it is 27 liter (1647 cui) it is very light. The total dry weight of the car is around 2000kg, that's just 100kg more than the original Crown Vic. And the weight distribution is 52-48%. We just need to get the gearbox to handle the torque 😃👍

Nice sound and a cool car! The interceptor has a automatic gearbox? Never ... never....never!!!!!! Drive it with two feet! One does the job! I'm curious about the top speed you will accomplish....

This is a Meteor, but pretty much the same engine. We don't know exactly, but it is one of the last. So sometime around 1960 😃👍
