The Meteor Project is all about the dream to put a very large engine into a car. The car is a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor 2006 and the engine is a Rolls Royce Meteor V12 with a displacement of 27 litres (1.649 cui). The Meteor is a very close relative to the Merlin engine that could be found in the Spitfire fighter aircraft.

The Meteor almost makes 2.000 Nm of torque - no wonder the gearbox has problems managing it ^^

I used to follow this build… I did for many years, but it just got too boring. NEVER any real updates or progress it seems. Never seen the car do anything other than idle.
For an engine like that, a Lenco LencoDrive automatic would have been a better choice than the TH400.

I heard Jay Leno mentioned one of his builds did something similar mounted to a box and at like half power it broke the gears I should find the clip and outstanding thanks for reaching out to tell me this was possible!!!

Consider getting a replica GCC grille -- it will look so much better on the Meteor Interceptor. It's available on eBay and I have one on my car for the upcoming car show season.

The only car with a motor like this that Ive recently seen moving is Jay Leno's Merlin powered car. Perhaps he could give you some advice on the drive train setup.
