If you don't want the ABS light on all the time, just take the bulb out 😀 It will be a seperate bulb to the fuel warning light.

White clock looks great. And whole handle bar area will look neat with other new white dial in place. Was wonderin if ud b out an about today seen as it was so nice.

Cheers Rich, and thanks for saying so about the music! Can be difficult to know whether people enjoy it so I appreciate the feedback 👍 Trying to find a good mix of both music and leaving the engine exhaust note play by itself be the soundtrack can be tricky 😆

Daisy is a Euro 3 bike mate. The final Bullets were Euro 4. If you could swap your small clock for a Euro 3 it will match your old one's displays etc.

I agree with you about removing that clock. I had one of those clocks on Daisy Apple and one on my Classic 500 and both were very unreliable and not worth the clutter.

Your new speedo looks good and it works fine; mission accomplished! Royal Enfield speedometers and odometers on these models are not very precise but they work fine, and I love their classic retro style! On my Classic 500, the speedometer has a 10 km/h difference between the speed on the clock and my real speed (on the radar). When I'm at 60 km/h on the clock, my real speed is 50-52 km/h. I have also noticed that the odometer tends to count a little more kilometers on the clock than the real distance I've made But I don't really care about this, I still love my Classic 500 as it is!

Brilliant looking white face speedo! Well done. Must be Bullet fixin' weekend. I added the Hitchcock's adjustable side stand on Oddball...tall Duro HF307 tires makes the bike lean Wwwaaaay over on the stock stand. Not good! Still needed to lengthen the adjustable stand with a piece of M14 all-thread and a coupler. Sits more upright now. Also put in a K&N filter now the bike runs lean after warmup in closed-circuit fuel control mode. (One thing leads to another, no?). FuelX Pro fuel injection module ordered. More work ahead. At least I have Fritz to keep me going and the morning commutes have been in the mid 20's (F) so nice and toasty! Not. Heated grips and seat makes it doable. Oh, LED indicator bulbs are a HUGE improvement in visibility in bright daylight. Worth swapping them out.

Hmm, next time I order from Hitchcocks I'd be tempted to get an adjustable side stand, Daisy's current Mitas tires have her over slightly more than usual. Not too bad, but a little more than the stock tires did. How long do those Duro tires last, may I ask? 🤔 And are they designed for tubeless wheels, or are they easy to take on/off without machinery? Down the line I might tinker with things like changing the stock filters and whatnot too. 😁 Can't imagine riding the bike in such weather, heated grips and seat or not, fair play to you! May go for the LED indicator bulbs down the line too 👍

The Duro tires are new so no idea on durability yet. Easy on or off, I'd say no different than the Avons that were on it, but still a chore with spoons and they are tubed. Getting the rear tire off the Classic 500 with rear disc is NOT fun, gotta admit. I followed Stuart Fillingham's guidance for the LED's. They really make those indicators visible in bright sunshine.@@BulletWanderer

I prefer the look of the old speedo (especially since it matches my Bullet too), but you need something that works. As for the smaller one, I'd just keep it the way it is, unless you prefer a matching look. Cheers!

You got a nice contrast between the deep green of Daisy's paintwork and the white face of the new speedometer, Brendan. Very classy and elegant. But I have one question, where is the low pressure oil warning light? That light is very important to ensure you don't get a ruined engine in case of a severe "bleeding". Regards from Brazil. ✌

Thanks Felipe, I think it looks quite elegant too 😁 I believe its there and working, the engine check light? It's the one I point to at 2:48? Always lights up when before start the bike, as I believe its supposed to, while the engine is doing its thing checking the oil pressure and getting the EFI ready.

Got 53k on my c5 now. Speedo is accurate till 50mph, bounces from 50 to 60mph then whacks right round to the stop on anything above that. About time i changed mine too.

Little bit temperamental, aren't they? 😅 For a long time, my old one would get a bit wobbly after riding past 60mph for any extended period of time haha.

White dial really works much better than the black. Matchs the wee clock. Now you just have to change the fuel low indicator to complete the look.

The white face speedo was a very good choice! Once you had it installed, visually it certainly does look better without a doubt. Now that you have experienced both white & black faced, which is easier to see while riding? I never gave it a thought until now. My bike has a white faced speedo. BTW, Daisey sounds good when you are getting on the throttle!

More riding with the white one is needed before I can make a judgement 😁 In particular, night riding! I have a feeling the black speedo would be the winner there, as it was just the numbers being lit rather than the whole thing, but we'll have to see. I don't often ride at night so may be a while yet. Cheers ! 👍

At the moment, nothing solid planned for this year, gotta figure out some life stuff first before I can plan trips. 😁 As for Bullet reliability reviews, you can consider the channel in general to be one 😂 Anything that goes wrong, I've always been sure to mention and either share how I fixed it, or ask for help haha. But if it helps, maybe I can do a Reliability Round Up at the end of each year and discuss what went right, what went wrong and all that! Love Wexford, going from Dunmore East down to Hook Lighthouse via Duncannon is one of my favourite routes. 😁

I like the white face with the black needle... as you stated in a previous post about the speedo... you found it gummed up... The odometer on my 500 quit...the needle works.... with nothing to lose... pull it out.... quick... easy... drill two holes in the sides...opposite of each other... a shot of WD40... blast of air... install.. and... ? If it doesn't work..... I'll blame some guy in Ireland ! 🤪

Drilled two small holes .... 3 & 9 o'clock... sprayed WD40 on each.. a shot of compressed air... sealed holes with gasket goo... installed.... Odometer still doesn't work....Speed O needle does... :)@@BulletWanderer

I think she looks better with the white speedometer and will look even better with that other one changed to the white system (whatever) and without the clock. The handlebar clamp looks good with all that metal exposed.

I like the white dials myself. I'd keep the clock on the dash if it was reliable. As it's not it'd get rid.

Like the black meter better, but it’s not about my taste. ABS light? It could have another use, maybe or just kill the bulb and all is fine, you can prove that your multi-angle-unit ABS is working fine without warning lights. Or you re-label it as TC, the light showing basically too much torque for the tyre and road combination constantly.

The black meter was pretty nice but sometimes it’s nice to shake things up a bit 😁 as for the ABS light my current highly thought out plan is to just cover that part in a bit of black tape and hope no one notices 😂 cheers Giancarlo!

White face speedo looks good. As for the small one on right.. I would go for ampermeter. Fuel reserve and check engine lights I would place both sides of the speedo in newly drilled holes. I have seen setup like that and it looks perfect. Like in old school Enfields. Question - Do you keep your bike on the drive/outside all the time?

Hmm, ampermeter would be truly old school! Not sure I wanna go drilling into the speedo though 😅 but I am curious to know what it looks like! You don't happen to know any examples I can look up? Unfortunately I don't have a garage, so Daisy stays outside under a cover most of the time. The odd time I stay at my parents though, she gets to 'sleep' indoors 😂

Good question! I did give it a bit of a wipe, as there was still plenty of lubricant on it, but didn't take it all off. 😁

Unfortunately, they didn't have a dual readout version in white available 😅 But I figure as the only place I'll need that MPH readout is any future trips to the UK, I'll manage with just KMs on the clock 😁

Your bullet 500 doesn’t seem to vibrate as much as mine 😮😮 I just see a blur in my rear view mirror.

The mirros used to vibrate when they were stock, these ones are from Hitchcocks. Bought em as I had broken one of the orignal one's ball joints somehow, them vibrating less was a happy side effect! 😁
