Just for those who wondered what these guys are actually doing, that mosque is actually in Gua Musang, Kelantan, Malaysia. It's a real mosque designed just like the great Holy Mosque in Mecca but maybe 100 times smaller. For those who performed pilgrimage in Mecca, this mosque in Gua Musang will make them feel spiritually nostalgic. 😉

What a nice Abang you have! I really appreciate locals who take the time to share their culture.

Hallo...I felt so lucky that I stumbled into your channel, so now i know there’s a replica of Mecca mosque in Malaysia. For those who had been to Mecca to perform their hajj or umrah, am sure they are always looking forward to go back. As many can’t afford to revisit, hopefully this mosque located in Malaysia itself will pacify them n bring back fond memories..

I know the view from the mountain was stunning but because we don’t have a drone we couldn’t do any shots from above only from the mountain we hiked 2 days before visiting the mosque

Yes. The hill we saw from the centreyard actually will remind us, that this mosque is really just a replica..you know sometimes when in prayer, SOME can get a little too absorbed with the environment that they want to believe they are in Mecca , which is not supposed to. So, its good to have that hill visible from the praying square. OMG...you watched 7 Hari Mencintaiku???

Actually in Malaysia we have some mosque that looks a like : Masjid wilayah persekutuan = blue mosque turkey Masjid sri sendayan = taj mahal india Masjid lapan kubah = saint basil’s cathedrals russia Masjid razaleigh = masjidil haram macca

Arab muslim forbids non muslim to enter mecca and madinah’s Al Nabawi mosque but in Malaysia, our muslim did not enforce such rules as long as you wear the proper attire and show respect to the venue. This shows that our multiracial multi- religion background had influence deeply in our society to show respect and tolerance among each others.

The replica is following the old Grand Mosque architecture in Makkah. The new renovated Grand Mosque of Makkah slightly different shape, smaller open area but bigger roofted hall around it.

Christina looks like Arab lady with hijab. Muslims lady wears hijab coz it is Allah commands in the Quran. Also to protect our modesty.

Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca is a celebration of the live of Prophet Abraham. For eg. Walking to Safa Hill and back to Marwa Hill commemorates Hagar's search for water for her crying child, Ishmael. Stoning the devil was first done by Prophet Abraham when he was on his way to sacrifice his son according to God's instruction.

I understand, women are used to it so they don’t feel the heat the same way I did plus I had my clothes underneath the abaya making it extra hot.

2:44 the rites of hajj actually only take 5 to 6 days. Starting from the 8th of dzulhijjah to 12th or 13th of dzulhijjah in the Islamic hijri calendar. It can only be done in these specific dates.

It was named after YM Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who is Malaysian Politician and Member Parliament Of Gua Musang (previously Ulu Kelantan) since 1974 until present. A descendant of Malay royalty (Kelantan Royal Family), He is a great-uncle of the current Sultan of Kelantan. I didn’t see the first season of this so can’t comment on that but I enjoyed the second season, it gave me an insight of the malay culture, the culture that we normally don’t see because it happens indoors, the private life of a malay family plus I got to learn a few malay words from it 🙃🙃🙃
