Diva lifestyle first of all you will get paid more, you will have to have your child live with someone while you are at basic and techschool. After training you will get a house on base for you and your family!

This is not true!!! The question is are you married? If the answer is yes then you’ll be able enlist & have your husband AND child go. If you are not married, then you will have to LEGALLY give up custody of your child to join.

Also you will not get paid more! I assume sir Dean is an E-1/E-2. You will receive BAH & BAS ( food & housing ) your base pay will stay the same.

www.airforce.com/frequently-asked-questions/personal/can-i-give-up-custody-of-my-dependents-to-enlist-in-the-air-force It clearly states that it is illegal to relinquish custody of your child just to enter the AF. You will need to arrange care, but they will be cover medically, you will get paid, housing (BAH), and BAS. Look up BAH calculator on Google and use your ZIP code to determine how much it is. Please talk to a recruiter as they will be able to better assist in coordinating the Power of Attorneys and other legal paperwork required.

TIP: deposit the “food voucher” (really a check) into your bank account through your app. And just buy what you want to eat with you’re card and pocket the difference.

Quick advice to anyone about to ship. Do not give up. The first 2-3 weeks are shit but, you will make it through. It’s a great experience and you will make friends.

BrokeGirlTutorials good luck. Doing this will be a decision you won’t regret. I just graduated from bmt about 2 1/2 weeks ago and now I’m in tech school. Time flies. You’ll definitely be challenged but once you get the hang of how things work, you’ll be good. Hopefully they’ll put you in the best squadron in bmt which is the 320th!

I know a young lady going thru BEAST week right know. She is going to kill it! Scored a 94 on her physical training test. GO TAYLOR!!

This video is crazy informational, really well structured and not a second off beat. It really helped me to consider my options, and as if that wasn’t enough, the jet at 19:29 pulling a sick rip making that sweet sweet howl made me solidify all the reasons I want to be a pilot.

My son shipped out today. I am nervous for him 😐He was both nervous and excited.

Good job explaining it! I went through quite a few years ago and it doesn't sound like it has changed at all. It certainly was an adventure. My biggest Air Force mistake was getting out. So please, if you are still in, _stay in._ If you get out, you will regret it. The Air Force takes very good care of its people. Don't give that up. Take care and thanks for the video! It brought back some memories.

I’m at the Defense language Institute in the Air Force to learn Chinese. More than likely I’m re-enlisting because the bonus for linguists re-enlisting is something crazy like $150,000.

You should already be in DEP so you can leave for basic after graduation. Go to your recruiter ASAP or you will have to wait another 3-4 months before shipping out for basic.

My friend and I are gonna be in the air force when we're older. I'm so excited!

My first day at Lackland was on my 18th birthday. This was back in 1983. I did luck out though. We arrived at 1 am, got to bed around 2:30 and our TI let us sleep ‘til 10. No lie. That was the last break we got, lol. MSgt Prado and Tech Sgt Bassinger. I’ll never forget them, and I don’t miss them a bit! Worst thing about basic for me was the bats. I hate bats, lol. Thank you for your service, son. Best of luck!

I was in Disneyland too (Wolfpack) and we had to do that drop your bags and pick it stuff

Advice: Retake ASVAB if need be to get the Job you really want! Pick list up to 10 but needs of the Air Force comes first! Get in shape don't wait for Basic (Big DUH) Week 0 is shock week, week 1 get your shit together, week two tighten up, week 3 you got this, week 4 Oh shit combat training, week 5 Lets have some fun!, week 6 down hill, week 7 Lets finish this shit already! 1st day is very long - when you get to Lackland you will be tired but time for shock and awe - first night 4-6 hours rest only and up 0 dark thirty hours and up and at them. We have a saying in the Air Force - Hurry up and wait! 2 reasons they rush you when you get to Base is a lot of processing to do and get you squared away by the TI's and the Shock factor to let you know your there and time to get with it! Mep's - Rest Rest Rest! Your going to need it!

When you made this vlog how long were you in the Air Force ? Where did you film it ad what is your AFSC ? I'm an Air Force Veteran . I arrived at Lackland for basic training as we called it back in the day on 18 August 1971 . The whole time I was in the old wooden WWII style barracks w/o any air-conditioning . We just had fans in the barracks . It was pretty hot let me tell ya Airman .

I started basic April 3, 2019. Im a Warthog, FLT B425(band flight), from the 321 TRS, and I was blessed enough to have our speaker broken, so we never woke up to revelle.

Haha that first morning we had like 5 MTI's wake us up running around yelling at us to GET UP, banging on the lockers, HURRAY UP WE DONT HAVE ALL FREAKING DAY, WAKE THE PISS UP...man we were all like man what the heck, it was crazy from the night before it was so boring and quiet, but I guess they just get a kick out of freaking out the trainees that first morning by surprising us lolI don't remember much more of zero week but all I know was it was crazy

Can you use your phone while you're waiting or do they take it away from you the second u get there?

this video was super informative and helpful for mental preparation for basic. i have a question about graduation, though. Do you graduate after BEAST week or before like the old airman's week? And when you graduate are you done for good now or still have to go back to that final week?

We had older Trainees talk to us, too. Whole Flights, a week or so ahead of us, would go marching by in formation, chanting very sympathetically: "Rainbow, Rainbow, don't be sad. The second week is twice as bad. SOUND OFF. One two. SOUND OFF. Three four. Bring it on down now. One two three four one two, THREE FOUR!!" And very uplifting, spirit-raising messages too. Like: "Rainbow, Rainbow, don't be blue. My T I is ugly too. SOUND OFF. One two..." And, looking out for our best interests, they'd caution us about the worst that was yet to come to them, so far: The VD inoculation. A square needle in the left nut. {The WHAT!?!} LOL

Not much has changed since 79. I was a156th got as 3703 in what y'all know as the old dorms. Mine was torn down last year. It would be 323rd now. When I came in no one was with me. I got left on the quad for hours no food or water. Someone forgot to tell my squadron I was there. Lol alarm.

I was flight 035, second to none! We must have graduated around the same time, I graduated Dec. 7.

When we got off the bus they made us do facing movements and we had to keep taking a knee and it was annoying. I was in shorts and really fucked up my knee🤣

Don't do what we did! We came in for the MEPS hotel bedcheck (9pm). We snuck out at 10pm and went to a local bar for a few last drinks. We crawled back in at 3am drunk as skunks. Making the 4:30am mandatory breakfast was a bitch. The rest of that flight and first day experience was PAINFUL!

I ship out January 7th. Not looking forward to going back to MEPs again. I went to the MEPs at Fort Jackson in Columbia SC and those were the most dysfunctional and rude people I've ever encountered. The ladies at the desk were disrespectful and rude for no reason, same with the ladies in medical.
