Bloodthirsty blade at the end couldn’t equip to the token, it’s supposed to only attach to opponents creatures. Otherwise, this was a great game! I’m happy to have seen the prisoners dilemma

You are correct, but he also missed the Orzhov Advokist trigger on one of his own creatures so he could have just put the two counters on it which would amount to the same thing.

New to watching the channel but I just want to say Alex has such an absurdly fun energy and is a major reason I'm sticking around. Everyone here is great but wanted to highlight his contributions.

I believe the answer to that is that they want to show the mechanic of Bell borca and also greed because they want to draw cards, and that only triggers if an opponent gets hit😂

They also keep attacking with the lightning ragers even though they don't have to (can just make and sac at end of turn, doesn't have to attack)

Also, also bloodthirsty blade only equips to opponents critters, but you would have had the big rager boi with the advokist

Just a small note from someone who loves Lazav's Shenanigans. Jim said he'd transform Lazav into Whispering Snitch until end of turn: Lazav permanently transforms with his ability until he uses it again.

I'm watching the opening and Alex's expressions of approval to the whole intro is cracking me up. Can we please just have this be a regular thing where we have happy Alex alongside whoever is doing the intro.

Was attaching Alex's Bloodthirsty Blade to his own lightning rager legal? Thought it had to be only opponent

It does have to be an opponent so yea it wasn't legal and technically Jim could've survived that attack, but it would've either put him at too low a life total or cost him his entire board basically

I discovered you guys like 2 days ago and watched an ungodly amount of your videos. My favourite Magic channel at the moment for sure and i cant wait to see the other games from that day!

Jim surveiled over 6 times and went the entire game without even using his commander like why? Lol His commander would’ve been at 6/6 very early, and he could’ve started reanimating stuff for free every turn. All those etb surveil triggers were wasted without his commander out it bugs me😂 also why did he bin reanimate and his talisman? Definitely could’ve been a lot more optimal with the deck. Still fun to watch tho. And yes the deck looks fun asf!

I think JIM did a big mistake to not cast his commander on turn 3-rd, or max 4-th. He had so many Survai that his commander woudl be super big, that would for sure metter a lot. He only looked an the reanimate part, and thats the "cheerry" in PreCon. I think his commander would be bigger then AARON ;)

Fun thing about orzhov advokist it says each player. The controller also gets to put counters on it and you are not allowed to attack yourself in that situation 😂

I love watching the new precons get played so early! Making it real hard to decide what to play though saddly Maddy and her deck didn't really get to do anything so not much insight to how that deck will play but with future games hopefully that deck will get a chance to show.

I love all you guys but this is my favorite pod yall have.

So excited for this, these are my favourite content you guys do, great way to get an idea of what the precons are capable of. Shame the morph deck didnt get to shine but Boros was insane.

In the 4 games we recorded I think it impressed me the most. It draws a LOT of cards.

I am definitely getting the Deep Clue Sea Pre-Con because it's awesome and I have a Rhystic Study that needs a home.

I love Ransom Note so much design-wise. A cheap egg for every deck that has an effect that synergizes with the theme of each of the four decks.

Awesome game! Just a heads up though, Orzhov Advokist lets you put the counters on your own creatures as well every up keep. Also, bloodthirsty blade can only be equipped to opponents creatures with its ability so Alex got 4 extra damage on Jim at the end there.

Psst, the description says "pre-order The Lost Caverns of Ixalan". Looking forward to the episode! Revenant looks dope!

I am so happy to see this. I was considering getting 2 of the decks, one for me, one for my spouse so we can play together more. It's the first time I'm considering buying more than 1 deck in many a commander product

Oh i forgot to mention, My Boss at the IT company (and leader of the POD/Game Night I've started to play CMDR at) loved his dozen THICC SPIKE dice in high vis orange and green :) Thanks again for sorting the tracked deliver Maddy!

It sucks that it seems like the only deck that did anything this game (by the time anyone else got anything on board they immediately got thrown under the bus as blockers) was the goad deck but at least it looked fun! hopefully in future games (assuming y'all are filming more with these decks) the others get to show off their decks. i'm mostly interested in the dimir and bant decks from this set, if any

At 44:00 pretty sure bloodthristy blade couldn't be attatched to lightning rager because it says "Attatch to target creature an Opponent Controls" but that wouldn't have made much difference because of Orzhov Asvokist also being able to attack and Phyrexian Arena dealing 1 last damage.

i just bought the big orange dice cant wait till they get here! love you guys content

I thought you can not equip blood thirst to your own creature? Plus was the clue deck discarding to hand size when he should not have been?

Just a heads up, the equipment says it can only be equipped to a creature that an opponent controls. The game likely didn't change as a result.

The Vedalken Fish Detective makes you have no maximum hand size so Aaron would not have needed to discard at the end of his 9th (?) turn.

Dilemma has three different outcomes, 4 if everyone chooses silence, 8 if everyone chooses snitch, or 12 to each silence chooser if it isn't unanimous, but none to the snitch choosers in that last scenario.

The Blame Game deck is so cool

I love the content. I love Eliot going last. I love seeing how many tap lands you manage on precon games(which, WOW how few this time around???) That said, it feels really weird seeing everyone swinging with the Ragers(not goaded) round after round with Alex waaay too high above the rest. (Lazav is just becomes, not til end of turn.) Also, no surveil on his second battlefield reentry. Boros too spicy for that much draw.

I could be wrong but I think that when you have the upkeep trigger of Orzhov Advokist the owner of it (Alex) can also put 2 +1+1 counters on a creature he controls to promise he won't attack himself lol Believe the wording is player and not opponent. I, an Alex, am also unironically a big fan of Boros. It used to mean that I was a fan of being disappointed by Pre-Cons. This new one is sweet. Lorehold Legacies was sweet. It must be cosmic alignment.

NGL, I was waiting for the 'solid like a rock' audio when you guys opened the deckboxes, and was disappointed when there was only silence..

I feel like wizards answer to power level and infinite combo discourse in EDH is to just slam infinite combos into precons and also cards like koma and farewell. not my favorite way to address that issue but I guess it works. 🤷‍♀

Aaron thinking that having five lands doesn't activate Temple of the False God is probably him not thinking that Temple counts itself as one of the five lands needed.

Decks look neat but the few good reprints are masking that manabase seems terrible. Maybe some secondary commanders are more interesting. Great game thanks

Lightning rangers did some real work all game!

Looks like you’re scanning the new MKC cards and it’s producing a moire effect. This can be mitigated by scanning the cards at an angle then rotating and cropping them with a Photoshop action or Gimp macro.

These decks are interesting.

The lighting ragers aren't inherently goaded. Besides that loved the game❤ They clarified it later but Jim seemed to think they were goaded

The deck lists got spoiled and I preordered them that day. I have a home for a bunch of the reprints and the decks look pretty fun in themselves (my pod tends to play around precon power level)
