Not that it mattered, but I don't think Jan could have killed Aaron's Dockside that last round; Aaron didn't take damage so Incinerator couldn't ping his creature

I think it did matter because He wouldn't have been able to breach Dockside for mana then he would have had counters for the wincon

21:40 a little optimization thing here but if Inferno Titan shoots Jim, Bill, and a creature, it'd hit those targets for 3 then Chandra's Incinerator can shoot the creatures on board instead. Overall it wouldn't change much to the outcome of the game but as a burn deck every little bit CAN matter, and also that could create a "gotcha!" moment where you're not targeting the Cathar Commando, they sac Commando in response, then Incin gets to shoot the elf.

Jim is the KING! Watched so many games where Jim ends up stealing the win out of the blue. Well played!

Aaron had quite the early roller coaster there

Find the creature interaction heavy Ojer deck facinating, but it can't really keep up with the stack from the mediocre cards. On 26:30, since Aaron can't take damage after second One Ring, Chandra's incinerator does also not get triggert to kill the dockside, that later helps Aaron just slightly.

Worth to note that what Jim said around 33:30 is incorrect. You can play only one card per turn with Evelynn. Looking at the decklist what you actually should do is flash in Orcish Bowmasters once that gets exiled and use that to finish everyone. Alternatively you can use Thassa's Oracle or get their non-permanent spells using Born Upon the Wind (since the Once per Turn ability resets between itterations of the Worldgorger loop).

Jan casually playing inferno titan+chandra’s incinerator wrong, he could have pointed damage at his opponents to then trigger the incinerator to deal damage to creatures, with torbran he could have been shooting 5 damage around instead of 3 at creatures, not that it really mattered

Serious question: is it worth it to jam an ojer axonill into my ob nixilis captive kingpin deck? It turns off the commander but is just as threatening in its own way and would be a good way to close the game out if i get got by a turn one drannith that no one is removing.

Am I wrong in thinking that Jan could of just pinged players with the titan and then the incinerator would of blasted the creatures he wanted as well?

Don’t think it mattered this game but torbran doesn’t work well with Ojer. Since they’re both replacement effects, the person who is taking the damage gets to choose which replacement effect to apply first. I believe this might’ve had to do with APNAP but I’m not sure

I have a Talrand deck that looks to win by casting Nexus of Fate and Beacon of Tomorrows over an over and then win by attacking with a million drakes. I strongly considered The One Ring, but I realized my win condition nomboed with a bunch of extra turn spells since it's extremely slow otherwise and I had a real fear of the ring killing me since I'm prone to taking early damage. I'm still not sure how justified that fear is, but seeing that it is an actual concern in this game does at least make me feel better for not dropping another $60 on a copy.

If there are any 'O'Hare Airport' fans, they are deeply troubled individuals.

I want to build all of these decks… likely starting with Evelyn and Ojer. Not a cEDH player really, but I’m always on the lookout for a wild brew and these decks really made a fun showing!

Got played correctly during the game but during Ojer's intro you skipped over the "to an opponent" condition which is important and easy to miss.

I think the simplest kill to explain with Worldgorger is just that you will play your Bowmasters at some point during the loop off Evelyn, and then the blinks on that will kill everybody with damage.

great game, but i have to be pentadic. when jim casted what probably was the best ad naus i have ever seen in my life, he had 3 lands and 2 treasures. after the cast of ad naus he shouldn't have any more treasures. did it matter? no. hell no actually. however i caught it and I didn't know what to do with this knowledge

Everytime I hear Ojer mispronounced it’s just psychic damage on me. It’s so little but i do find I funny how Jan likes this deck a ton yet doesn’t wanna learn how to pronounce it properly.
