Hi Tim, love your videos. I always learning something new and get great info that enhances my perspective on these tools. I’ve been using Storyline and Articulate forever, and kind of view Rise as the future of the space, if they keep fleshing it out well. As a fellow mac nerd, I have a hard time getting past that with the other two applications (and talk about NOT mobile friendly). Regardless, you rule. I am thrilled to see someone talk about our space in such a polished, and thoughtful way. Keep up the great work : )

Thanks! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the kind words! I agree, I see Rise (as a web-based, mobile-first eLearning authoring tool) as being the future...and I'm looking forward to them adding a lot more robust authoring features in the future.

Thanks for reviewing the new Themes - I'm a big fan of RISE and when I went to create a course for one of my clients, I thought - wait, what is this? LOL - Your overview helped me understand how themes work. Now it's up to us IDs to be creative in how we put it to use.

I have been injecting custom CSS code after exporting the modules in order to tailor content between our different brands. These new templates look to provide a simpler way to make changes but it will be interesting to see how we can piggy back off these templates to further modify css!

Not using Rise anymore, but definitely some great UI improvements. The old one-flavor design was getting tired (not that is was bad, just overplayed- like a genuinely good song that just gets played WAY too much)

Thanks for doing an overview of the new features. I was wondering if you could do an update on the way the new toggle features work and different ways to use them? I was a little stumped by that one for some reason but could be where I’m at, at the moment (a lot happening personally). I’ll have a play around when I can. 🇦🇺 Debs

Thanks for watching, Deb! I’m not exactly sure what you mean by the new toggle features. Are you talking about the new states toggle in Storyline?

@@elearningacdmy yea that’s correct. I’ve just found out it was there already but am just trying to understand more around how to use it. I’ll play with it soon but my is blank for creativity in using it 😂 I’ve just found your channel so you’ll see me commenting on past videos whilst I catch up. Thank you for your hard work and the way you easily describe things.

Can I add a video as an opening on the cover page?

While you can't add a video on the cover page, you can make it the first thing the learner sees when the start the course. I hope that helps!
