Visited Srilanka in 2011. Went to Colombo, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. Loved every bit of it. Tea gardens in Nuwara Eliya were fantastic. The people were nice and friendly. Loved the food also specially fish made in Srilankan style. Would definitely love to go there again.

Can't believe he is the same guy in the Blue tee-shirt at the beginning of the video who tried to con me and my friend when I was in Colombo last year in August. He started with Hello and all with a big smile and then he introduced himself saying he works in the Movenpick hotel and other things nearby. And then he wanted to show us around by telling "Today is a full moon day and therefore is a good day to buy gems." We said a plain NO, thank you. And he left with the tuk tuk waiting for him. It's a duo who works together. The entire personality changed moment we said "no thank you." 😅😅 Nostalgic anecdote.

Hi Syifa, Nice introduction & thanks for visiting SriLanka. Most of the Srilankan’s trying to support & involves (sometimes too much). All of them not scammers but some, Specially in Colombo city like taxi drivers & sellers. Suggest you to visit some other beautiful cities such as Kandy, Ella & Nuwara Eliya and feel the differences. Apologies for the inconvenience had. Good luck…..!

My goodness, this bring back soo much memories. I miss & like Sri Lanka. I wish I can come back again to visit.

The 3 wheeler Drivers and Taxi Drivers should get a map and learn the areas if they do not know. Especially when foreigners use their services. The Sri Lankan people know how to get to places so they are able to instruct the Drivers. They could get a map book from one of the Book Shops.

I quite like Colombo. My last holiday there we stayed in Colombo the whole time. Still plenty of things to see and do.

...hmm, interesting experience watching this... I felt the uneasiness of the big city life, and you also were less relaxed and happy than usual was my feeling... I lived in a big city (Berlin) for 15 years, and loved it, but thats now a while ago, and I don't miss it... small towns, villages and a lot of nature is 'my poison' now. Thanks for these impressions of Colombo, and loving how you let us participate in your journeys... always a treat! :)

Sorry for some people in Sri Lanka. But trust me there are people who really care and also with human character.(humanity). Hope you enjoy Sri Lanka. Hope you have a safe journey around our beautiful island...!

If need help in ask a random guy or girl, they genuinely help. Not like this guy who forcefully try to help but it a harassment

Totally agree see that gentleman who help you to find the correct bus. You should not ask help from taxi drivers If you need directions use google maps or ask normal person srilankans are very helpful and they can understand English or else ask it from a police man.The way you handle the people are amazing you know how to handle bad guys in perfect way.
