FIRST FAMILY CAMPING TRIP | PLUS BERGHAUS AIR 8 TENT AND PORCH TOUR

We went camping as a family for the first time to a lovely campsite on the Dorset coast. I also filmed a tour of our Berghaus Air 8 tent and Berghaus Air porch.
We stayed at Downshay Campsite, which had an amazing view and overlooked Corfe Castle. During our family camping trip, we visited Studland Bay (Middle Beach), Durdle Door, and Lulworth Cove.
Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to a poorly child, but there is so much to explore in this area of Dorset - we definitely want to come back soon!

ABOUT US
I'm Chloë. I live in London, UK, with my three boys, aged seven and under, and my boyfriend, Sam. And my absolute favourite thing in the world is documenting our family story through words, videos, and photos.
I started my blog when my firstborn was a baby. I was 25, and my whole world had changed with an unplanned pregnancy. I felt lonely and bored and was hoping a blog might help connect me with like-minded parents whilst also giving me a much needed creative focus.
Our sudden ascent into parenthood was messy, life with kids is messy, and so is the state of my head at the best of times- hence Sorry About The Mess.
Things are much more settled in our life now. I've gone on to have two more children, and you'll mainly find me chatting about house renovations (we bought a fixer-upper), my motherhood experience so far, and plans for our upcoming wedding!
As well as blogging and vlogging, you can find me chatting away daily on Instagram.
The digital record, that's for me, really. So I'll be able to look back and recall every fibre of the happy moments, the everyday moments, and the big life events that make up our family story.

Great video Chloe, this helped us with our decision about this tent, also can I ask you what camera you are using for the static video parts? Many thanks!

We’re buying this tent. I notice you used a duvet for your bed - were considering that too instead of a sleeping bag. Any comments? How did it go? Thanks :)

Sorry to jump on the bandwagon, I always use a quilt and fitted sheet when I camp. It gives a homely feeling. I also have been known to buy cheep Mattress enhancers if going for more than 3 nights, Just so I can get a good nights sleep. take an inflate/ deflate pump and use good quality vacuum bags to transport then :-)

Hi Matt, we have this tent and the porch, it's sooo quick and easy. Peg it out on the corners, inflate doing the middle chamber first and work out to the sides, then peg the rest down then the guy ropes. We also use a king size airbed, topper and a duvet - more glamping than camping. Taking down use the deflate side of the pump, fold everything into the middle then fold in half, half again then you're left with a long sausage, fold that on half then roll it up ensuring everything is tucked in, get all the air out at the end then it fits in the massive bag at the end!

@@mattdanielc I’ve camped for years and always used double sheet and feather duvet and take an extra blanket in case temperatures drops at night. I’m so lucky to live 10 mins away from Poole and camp around the south coast quite often.
