We absolutely love Dorset, we had some great holidays there when our kids were little. So many beautiful places to visit and lots to see and do. Our boys loved Abbotsbury swannery and fossil hunting on the beaches. Great memories.

We went to Corfe Castle a few weeks ago for a day trip. It's so gorgeous! Wish we'd done the steam train now though. My 2 year old would love it! I have lived in England for 6 years now but haven't been camping yet. I think it would be amazing to not be eaten alive by mosquitoes or have to worry about bears, raccoons, etc smelling food and coming for a visit like we did growing up in Canada!

Hehehe yes it’s much safer to camp here in the UK than Canada :) it’s so much fun, i 100% recommend you giving it a go :) pick a weekend with good weather and you will LOVE IT :) xxx

We stayed in corfe castle for a week earlier in the year but in a cottage, Dorset is lovely

I know exactly what you mean.. we took our first nights meals down with us and heated it back up when we got there.. just spaghetti Bologna’s.. was perfect :) then picky bits for our second night there and then a bbq for the final night :) xxx

Loved this video Kerry!! I went to swanage 16 years ago on a GCSE geography trip. It’s so beautiful there I still remember it today! Look forward to taking my baby boy one day xxx

I've been camping once and it was enough to turn me off. I absolutely hated it. Our air mattresses went flat in the middle of the night and my back was broke 😂😭 looks like you had so much fun!

Oh no :( that does NOT sound fun at all.. I mean at 4.30am when the birds are being their loudest I was like.. can I go into the van now 😂😂😂 but I honestly just loved it and am ready to go again this weekend 😂😂

I've been camping 4x in my life and that's enough for me! :) :) Kids love it, though. The last time, instead of traveling, we had a bunch of families put up tents in our backyard and used our grill for meals (no indoor cooking allowed), went horseback riding at a local stable and on a hayride (it was October), gathered pumpkins, and told ghost stories at night around the fire pit. It was nice to have the bathrooms available and we sprayed for bugs several days before. The kids mainly liked toasting marshmallows on the end of a tree branch over a fire to make S'mores and sleeping outside, so they were happy. For me, Camp Hilton is the only way to go. :)

S’mores are the BEST!! The kids do absolutely LOVE camping.. I hadn’t been for 15 years and I just loved every minute of it! Even the rain!! I love camp Hilton too 😂😂😂

I bought a Vango tent over Xmas on Amazon. It’s an 8 man tent! Never been camping before so going to try this summer with my boys ! Eek hope we have as much fun as you guys ! Great video!

I have great childhood memories of swanage/Dursley’s door/corfe castle. It was really sunny when we went to Durdle door. I didn’t like going down the cliff stairs to get to the beach. I wonder if they have made safer stairs now. Are there proper stairs? It was like the stairs Chris went up on that hill - just some stone and grass/dirt. That was so long ago, probably 35 years. Crap, I’m old

Haha no you are not old!! There are proper stairs there now so you don’t feel unsafe at all.. it’s just so beautiful and I can imagine on a sunny day, it would just be even more stunning 😍😍😍

Just came across your video, we are planning our first family camp trip soon and think we may head down to this camp site, just wondering whether to make the investment in the tent - have you had many camping trips since? xx

This was such a lovely video to watch! I bet Lulu loved being with you all in the tent. Cool tick removing friends too! Plan to take our dog camping for the first time this summer. Did you have to keep her on a lead when not in the tent at the campsite or can you trust her not to wander off?

Lulu loved the camping life 😍😍 yes we had to keep her on the lead.. she is only just 2 so still so curious and loves to wonder!! But I think if your dog is more chilled and will stay with you then it’s fine to have them off the lead xxx

Yes defo try it out first and see what you think.. also pick a nice weathered weekend :) you will love it though :) that tent was Chris parents but we are defo going to get our own probably from Blacks or a place like that :) xxx

Ooh! We love Swanage and all around that area. We're lucky enough to only live about 40 minutes drive, plus ferry away from there, so a regular visit in the summer. Which campsite was it you stayed in?xx

Looks like you had a great time! If you're looking for another camp site in the same sort of area, check out Eweleaze...the boys will absolutely love it. It's only open in August but it's a brilliant campsite with a private beach and so much to do onsite. PS. What are the brand of your prescription glasses from? Love the shape of them!

My friend was with us at the time and her mum is a nurse.. she punched his arm until the tick let go and then squeezed the area the tick had been until quite a bit of blood cane out (gross I know!!) but that was to make anything the tick had left behind got drawn out! Xxx

No their inset day was on the Monday and we were driving to the campsite straight from school on the Friday :) xxx
