Curious that they go for 23 inch wheels. Doesn't that make the tire sidewalls uncessarily low profile, creating sound? It doesn't seem to be an issue with the way they isolate the cabin, but the drivetrain gets it further with taller sidewalls as well.

Electrification and Rolls-Royce is just a match made in heaven on so many levels for the company. Don't get me wrong, nothing will ever really be able to replace a V12, but Rolls is one company in particular that just so happens to have a skillset that aligns with EVs.

I share your point of view : a RR has always aimed at being the quietest car ever. So electrification absolutely befits it. The huge torque will doubtless compensate the impressive weight of the car. Remains to see what autonomy this RR will provide. Should be - reletively speeking - a huge success !

I am 31 (nearly half your age) and have driven pretty much all the Rolls Royces models starting from 2007 to 2022, from ghost, cullinan, phantom, dawn and wraith. Honestly, they're not that great to drive... They defo get alot of attention and you feel untouchable on the street..But they're not as good as they claim to be. The built quality isn't great. The car isn't as comfortable as say a Maybach or a Toyota Century. They have terrible brakes that can't hold the weight of the car.. and they're just not that great to drive fast or slow.. again, I love Rolls Royces..But I don't like them as much as I would love to.. The suspension, steering, brakes and built quality needs alot of work to make it what they claim it to be..
