My goodness, yes. Look at Lamborghini's attempt at paying tribute to the great Countach, and it was essentially an Aventador with a few Countach styling cues. It's more of an insult to the Countach than an homage. But with the CC850 they actually captured the spirit of the CC8S; made it an analog 6-speed (same as CC8S), they sacrificed BHP to capture the throttle responsiveness, gave it the same proportions as the CC8S with regards to dimensions, and as you said, almost indistinguishable in terms of design as the original. This is what happens when a company is headed by people with a vision, rather than a committee with excel sheets.

It has a tight and focused interior with quality craftsmanship. Every component, nut and bolt, is exquisitely machined and manufactured. This is what I'd love to see other brands like for example Pagani do to their original Zonda C12. @@Gramps935 they make fantastic cars, and the technology and level of innovations they bring is unmatched, but they still lacks something on the aerodynamic compartmen, that is the most important thing on a F1 alongside the power unit, I mean Ferrari and McLaren has a way higher understanding of aerodynamics on they production cars than any koegnisseg and pagani or Bugatti, obviously they are more focused on the supercar range, but this is still true. And what Adrian Newey a achieved with the Aston Martin Valkyrie is astonishing. So in my humble opinion of a guy who would never own such beautiful and awesome cars, koenigsegg is not really ready for an F1 adventure, and imho they don't really need to. F1 is ridiculously expensive the costs to develop a in-house power unit is absurdly high, I mean even Ferrari struggled till 2022 season and mclaren is a bit down on the grid positions and they are currently the two teams with the most history in F1, koenigsseg should really risk to put themselves in this crazy adventure with the highly chance of failure? I don't think so. Plus they are already consolidated in their own hypercar segment, with loyal customers, F1 wouldn't bring anything valuable for the company imho.
