This wasn't the video but I needed to tell you something. A couple weeks ago I caught my first skunk. THAT week I saw one of your videos that said how to dispatch it w/o getting blasted! It worked PERFECT!! Thank you so much. Love your channel. Learned A LOT. Best yr trapping yet. Keep up the great work
Idk how you do it Stu but you take something cool and make it badass! First catch in the new duke 450 is a bobcat!? Congratulations brother and keep on em!
Stu, you, Trapper J, and Iowa Trapper, plus others, prove what I have said for YEARS! Scent control is way overplayed, not only in trapping, but in the hunting fraternity as well. I think the biggest "secret" that all the "old time trappers" had been in telling tales about their great exploits, and making it seem more difficult than what their deeds actually were, probably to glorify their stories. I am sure that this is the opinion of only a few, but time, and again I see trappers using bare hands to set traps, add baits and lure, leaving factory oils, etc., on the traps and STILL CONTINUE TO CATCH FUR! I am sure the forth coming comments will be interesting! Nice catch on that bobcat!!!
From the UK, thanks! We have NOTHING like this. I really enjoy your channel and content. More please!

Did you ever look into a trapping outfitter in Canada, you should try it !
I didn't have a lot of confidence in my blind setting ability till I started making catches and watching you helped me understand and tweek em to work for me. Now you set one on ice, and catch! Well now I gotta try that. Great video and review. Thanks and keep the videos coming.
Thanks for sharing another great day on the line. Congratulations on another bobcat, first on that series of trap is a special memory
Sweet!! Nice Cat and nice first catch with that 450!
Thanks for another great video. That is a real tough looking trap. I will definitely be checking those out.
Awesome to see, thanks for giving us great videos.
Amazing ! Impressive how you took what looked like an impossible set location on the ice and made it look that good and work. Thanks for sharing your talent . Definitely learned something.
Blind set are the killing sets! Thanks for your videos. No matter how much i catch I keep screening videos.
Awesome catch!! Can't wait to get the 450s, I was wondering when they would come out! Thanks for all you do! Stay safe, and God bless
Looks like an awesome trap. Nice cat!!!
Great Instructional Video !! Congratulations on your bobcat !! 🤗 I use mb550 & I have a mb450 that is awesome !
Congratulations, Beautiful cat. Nice trap. I have the mb 450s and really like them.
I use duke traps but just can’t get behind them copying the mb traps. Great video as always

@@johnnelson5659Not true, the MB 650 was designed by the manufacturer of the TS 85 for Tim Caven after Sterling traps were no longer available. The 650 doesn't even have the same pan setup as the Sterling, just ask O'Gorman.
Trapping Industry: Your trap must be so firmly bedded that it cannot move. The slightest wiggle will prove your failure as a trapper. CCO: Imma set this right on top of some ice, sprinkle some grass on it. *Catches bobcat*
Great looking cat. Worth the cold fingers 👌
Man that’s a good looking little trap! A couple years ago when I caught my first bobcat after watching all your awesome videos, thanks by the way, I had a giant raccoon get caught in a 650 and chewed his toes off. I caught him the next day and a 550. lol. I had the high tanned along with my big bobcat, and it’s high is just as long! That little 450 looks like it’s a gem.
you need more tags! also if you put a clothes line tensioner on the catch pole it will allow you to lock the noose until you are ready to release the critter, I do not need tags for a bobcat but cant seem to catch one lol
I made the trek to our woods this weekend with our once a year snowfall, and it’s amazing all the animals you never see. A few spots I like to hunt were covered in tracks. Birds, squirrels, canines, cats and deer.
I have used beefed up Montgomery 1 1/2 for cats and coyotes for several years. Nice catch.
That was awesome buddy! I really like the trap!! Thank you for sharing!
those are nice i cant wait to get some on order. i use alot of 1.5 traps
Nice catch Stu and awesome looking trap.
I can't wait to get my hands on these. All I use is Duke the 550 and 650 pros are amazing.
Just wanted to say thanks! Your videos helped me catch my first Coyote.
I can not wait for them I plans to get a few dozen myself
That was badass and I can’t wait to get some
Nice Job Stu, way to get it done, I love my MB-450s and have snagged many Coyotes in them, and takes less wax dirt to bed, I will most certainly pick up a couple dozen of those as soon as I am able. Thanks for sharing & Take Care
Nice bobcat Stu! Thanks for sharing the demonstration. Great looking trap.
Great catch! Congratulations
Very green trapper here. Very much liking your channel, you have a lot of great content. Not having much luck so far and I was wondering if you could make a video about beginners mistakes when trapping. Keep up the good work looking forward to your next video.
I got back into trapping this year after 35 years. Picked up some Duke DP's for starters and have been working on getting other supplies before I start buying foot holds. After seeing this, I'll definitely be buying a dozen when they come out. Excellent video as always Stu!
Awesome set, Stu
Nice job. Trap looks nice but the bobcat looked nicer.
BEST CHANNEL ON KZread !!!!!
Awesome I'll be getting a dozens of for next season
Great video proof is in the pudding if it will hold that bobcat it will hold a coyote. Hopefully they are not too overly priced.
Thanks for sharing
Here they come bro
I'm looking for them to come out💯💯💯💯💯👍🏾
Love the trap.
absolutely epic brother keep it up :)
love them DUKE pro series i will be adding some 450s when there out
Great catch Stu. I have been using the mb 550 with the rubber jaws for live market. I just ordered a dozen of the Duke 550 OS jaws. Hopefully we don't have trouble with damaging the animals foot with out the rubber jaws. May have to try the 450 when it comes available.
Great video stu. The duke pro series traps are great traps. Wish they would send me a few to try and review for them.
You should do a video explaining what baits and lures are good for different situations and how to use them in combo
I just got 6 of the 550 good to know they will hold up
Great video can you do a short video on the Retriever cables on your ground anchors.
Thanks to kendal grey I'm here 👍
Great video!👍
Awesome Video!!
That was cool.
Wondering if you could talk a bit on full jaws vs off-set pros & cons for the foxes? Or direct us to a previous video on such.
Thanks
Cool video and congrats. Just got into the duke pro series traps and they are tanks. Also am curious as to the cinch anchors cable size. Are they 3/32?
Would be even cooler if you could keep them. High dollar looking cat there
Man I was hoping to see video of you releasing another bobcat lol 🎥 🚫
Every time I watch CCO my bank account vanishes 😂
I posted recent fur sale auction video in Kentucky. Will give you an idea of prices for different furs this season. You never know what is going to be hot, and some furs are not.
Ate the up deer eating moose now. Your wolves ran the ice bridge
How many traps would you run on a 400 acre property, total mix of landscape with good roads. PINES, hardwoods, plots, 3 yearold pins
No you didn't get it on camera it's ok glad you got one doing good 👍
What kind of boots do you you for trapping
Hey I hope you see this comment but I’m just getting in to trapping and I have a old shed with 2 windows with nothing on them to block the weather and a whole open side do you think I will be able to hang and dry hides in the winter or do I need to block the windows and wall off from the weather?
I use Duke 550’s for fox, bobcat, and coyotes. The new 450’s, do you think they’ll work for Coyote’s?? Thanks for your videos.
Do you think the 450 would make a good coyote trap here in the midwest as far holding power
Any idea what kind of price tag on the new 450s
How easy is it to adjust pan tension on these ??
@haggerty05
4 ай бұрын
not hard with the P.I.T.(paws I trip) pan and dog there no screw. you bend the dog up for more pan tension down for less. they have a tool for it. it's the same as the mb 550 and 450.

Do you know how much they will cost?
I trap for predator and nest raiders. I don't need smaller traps that are less likely to catch a coyote. A possum will set off a Bridger #3 double long spring just fine. I can go turkey hunting with a 20 guage I guess but why would I want to?
@jeremybrownfield1025
4 ай бұрын
I've caught them in 11/2's and 550's and never had a problem either way. Why use a 20 instead of the 12 hunting turkey? I'm thinking to not have the snot kicked outta you. A nd besides there's people making 70yd kills with 410's using 7 and 8 tss. Innovation means not having to go large all the time
Had 4 dnr laugh me last week. When I said I would shoot shovel shut up wolves. They all laughed at me. They said at least theirs no wolves in Holland. Next day huge dead gray wolf marshall Michigan. Its south and east of me. See they no nothing. Feds in charge wolves
It’s almost like Duke copied the MB line of traps. Oh wait they did
@BornIn1500

Sooner or later every trap gets copied. Just look at the current popular dogproof traps. The original ones were called Lil' Grizz Get'rz and made in the US. Now it seems like 6 or 7 companies make a nearly exact copy of it.

@@mart9738 yes the dead spot on the pan is horrendous. A buddy figured how to get around that. I still don't own many 650s because of it though. It's still difficult to get your hands on mj's
Duke could not come up with their own traps if the idea was tattooed on their forehead. That is a Korean made, MB 450 which already has the offset and fox series. They just copied Minnesota Brand once MBs patten was up. Now that is American made trap. Now I’m not putting down the trap because it is a replica of the MB 450 but not American made trap.
