Everyone buys these for the street appeal but i really wanna see how well it would perform on some larger jumps. If it had a mild suspension upgrade i think the lower weight would be a plus for longevity.

I would be much more interested to see the performance of the stock IPM motor than the Sotion.

The stock motor is limited to between 10-12kw which is faster than stock but for people doing upgraded batteries and controllers will want to run more power than that. So that's why we are running Sotion

Have you guys tried the bac8000 controller with the sotion motor and a 72 v?

No we haven't tried that combo, to be honest we have no interest in the bac 4000/8000... There are better controllers now.

Hey guys I was thinking about getting 2 under glow lights in my bike but I already have a 60v headlight the 2 under glow rock lights would replace the rear light and are 12v each do you think it’d take up to much of the battery tho??

The voltage of the light is 20 and the voltage of the rock light is 9 each

No you don’t need one.

Most people that upgrade to 72v on the xxx will not get a new motor, any chance you can test the stock motor at 72v before you install the aftermarket?

Sorry not testing in this case, maybe in the future. The xxx motor is only really capable of about 12kw from others who have tested which is fast but not near as fast as a lot of people who are spending big money on battery and controller want to go.

Ya because its not plug and play, you need to custom wire it in to the light switch and bike. its doable but a bit of work.

I’d love to watch the lengthy build process without bein sped up. Would be great if you did a series for new owners who don’t know shit mechanically, but like damn you just got a surron, don’t know how to do shit with it, and learn from you guys how to take off and put on things to perform basic upgrades or fix forks post-crash. You guys are very informative but some content for a noob audience would be great.

I want to make my xXx 72v but it is not worth it. Like you said you need to upgrade everything to make it safe. Brakes are only good for up to 30mph, front fork is only rated for max 35mph, stock stem can bend or brake easy you name it. I would rather go with a different type of bike or e-motorcycle to get a high top speed a performance and to also get real motorcycle breaks and suspension. Dont get me wrong I love my xXx and I have over 3k miles on it but it doesn't make sense economically

I would go for the larger heavier duty Talaria Sting R instead, you are pushing the weight limit of this bike. It would probably work but you would be a little on the edge.

I assume I could also do it with my road legal EU spec version?. Right now with the wire cut I'm getting 47mph which is fine for around town because the speed limit is only 30 but outside of my town I feel the lack of speed hard. I'd like to get it up to like 65mph.
