Just changed my front end out to 2023 surron forks that I found for very cheap locally and man are they better then the zoom forks. Definitely would recommend getting a good front end setup.

Remember if you’re building a battery, the tools and technical know-how will not save you money on the first battery. If you plan to be making 4-5 to sell it’s worth the investment but I would be extra careful on your taxes.

I am finding decent, used A123 batteries at about $0.60 each, or about $100/kwh. These batteries are bulletproof and can be soldered with no damage. They are also capable of 50 amps per cell!

It will save money if: you already have a few tools, you buy high-performance cells on sale in bulk, and you want a certain performance standard. I have built five batteries and they are all Samsung 40t 72v between 80- 150 amps. This is less expensive than buying a quality high performance pack.

Will a 17 inch hub motor work with the 19 inch front wheel

The brake mounting bracket on the Zoom brakes is 51mm, but the mounting points on the forks is 75mm. Did you use an adapter?

Your best bet is just to buy a surron or talaria. You can look for a used one if you want to save some money.

Hey I got a question bro, so you recommend I invest in a better pair of brakes ? I know the motor kit comes with some but I’m in the process of holding mine so before I complete I’m debating to put more $$ into it and buy a separate brake system rather than the one nb power comes with? Mines gonna be street use only

The magura mt5 or mt7 brakes are amazing from what I have heard from. Pretty sure the mt5 brakes come stock on surrons and people say they are great as long as you have some decent brake pads. The brakes I have are 4 piston zoom brakes but I wouldn't recommend them for offroad use they might not be the worst for street use. They definitely have the power to lock up the wheel up but they are just really cheap. I had a brake line start leaking on my rear brake but they did send me a replacement. I would invest the extra money and get magura brakes if I were you.

The chain and pedals is for aesthetics and legal reasons. 10kw 50MPH Ebikes aren't legal unless you get them legally registered. So with the pedals you are able to make the bike considered an "Ebike". If an officer sees you just pull to the bike lane and slow down but worst case they pull you over you can simply explain that its a 750w ebike and they will let you go.

To be honest I'm not sure if a mid drive would fit on this exact frame that I have. I've seen people run mid drives on other custom enduro ebikes so maybe it would be possible but the frame is meant for a hub drive motor. It even has torque arms built in specifically for hub drive motors.

If you can go online you can get the measurements from the advertisement. Then go and ask welders in your country to make the frame

I don't have any hills in my area so I can't really tell you how hot it gets under serious load but I am usually going full throttle or sending it on trails and I've had no over heating issues at all.

You are going to have to custom fabricate new brakes for that because bike brakes are totally inadequate for it. Thanks for the video especially the part list, I've blown out the forks on mine already. Edit: The forks suck. They aren't what are on the bike. Bad link!

These brakes bite amazing if you bleed them and get good pads?? I agree the forks suck for anything other then street riding. I plan on switching them out for KKE forks.

I run it at around 80A to not drain my battery as much but you can expect 50 mph. My motor is also 3.5T which is mean for more speed rather then torque.

I look at the fork and understand that something is wrong) Because the legs are erased. It is similar to my first fork. And then you say that it is zoom. That's crap, to be honest... I switched to dnm both front and rear.

the frame are so expensive. I think if you have a blueprint, you can hire someone else to cut and weld it with better materials, probably still at the same price
