I won’t lie, there is only ONE question that I’d give ANYTHING for her to answer regarding her Dad. And that’s just her feelings toward the songs about her, Hailie’s Song, Mockingbird, Castle and even My Dad’s Gone Crazy which she did the chorus. That be it.

Funny how Marshall was demonized for years by the media for being a bad rolemodel and to not being suitable for rising kids. He's maybe not the best rolemodel, but he's absolutely without doubt an excellent parent.
Hailie I can understand how you feel about questions regarding your dad. But the reality is you're a fascinating person who is the spawn of one of the most legendary people to ever live. Like millions of people I myself am captivated, enamored, and entranced by your family history because of the impact its had on -THE WORLD-. You are a key role in a movement that is still writing history and not just your families history but the history of an entire culture and all of the people that belong to it. Even if it was subtle, since the legend began it has had an omnipotent impact on the future of mankind playing a role in the development of the human species. Also, the growth and development of you, your dad, he and your relationship, and everything it represents is truly one of a kind and a wonderfully positive narrative. Your dad is special, and you will become a legend of a legend with the impact that you yourself will have on the world. But part of that is embracing and knowing that you're a living embodiment of what a scripture is to a religion. Be honored when someone asks about your dad then use that moment to write your own history with your answer. I'm stoked to see how your history unfolds and what you build on your foundation to transform the future like your dad. Much love stay Shady.

My Mother was a long distance telephone operator and worked on those boards in the 1950's. She physically plugged in those calls. She used to bring home tickets of information from each call that she would write on with pencil that would be put into their system. She also worked in the 1970's and 1980's so she got to see and work with more updated electronic ways of compiling information and placing those calls. Thanks for the memories, Ladies!
This lady is soo humble and was raised good, great manners, very very pretty, and there was a time awhile back i always wondered what she looked like cause EM didnt really have her in the spotlight for good reasons.. and now we see her all the time..... shes a very mature sweet young lady, and so is her friend

I love the point she makes about questions concerning her father at 23:22 . It cracked me up because it's so true. Y'all may not realize it, but by fixating on her father, you're stripping Hailie of her humanity. She is a real life human being who wasn't just born to offer you insights and tidbits about her dad. I was reluctant to engage these podcasts as an Eminem listener because it weirded me out somewhat. I found myself wondering why I'm watching a celebrity's child. Is it only because their parent is an artist I admire? I will say this, though: This young lady is quite insightful, and I'm just basing my opinion on the things she mentioned in this podcast about technology. It's interesting hearing about society from a younger person's perspective. I don't think I need to hear anything from her about her father, upbringing, or lifestyle outside of what she freely wishes to share. She has her own unique voice and I'm here for it.
I saw a clip on KZread short and thought oh that's probably an interesting video to watch. But I was enjoying your talk about technology so much I completely forgot you were Eminem's kid and got confused when you started talking about him during the Q&As. So happy to find a new favorite podcast, I could listen to you two about anything it's like talking to my own friends

I really enjoy this podcast. You girls make me feel like I’m sitting around hanging out with my friends
I only have one question I would ask Hailie. How did you manage to grow up within the light of one of the most well known successful artists of all time......and yet come out the other side such a wonderful, positive, intelligent, and creative soul. You are an amazing person, and so many folks I know think your such an inspiration. Congratulations on being a wonderful soul in the world. Did not want to mention him in the post.....but your dad must be so very proud of the person you have become. Keep on being you.
Hailie you are totally right. I'm a huge fan of your dad, he changed my life completely, but this is your's and Brit's platform. This is your journey and I also think that you were right to make the statement about the Q&A. Better to lose people that were just interested in that and keep the support of those who actually like what you girls are doing. Keep doing what you doing ✌🏼 peace
So I just started watching your podcasts to keep myself occupied while working in the office, the first shady story had me dying I was literally laughing out loud with people giving me the look like “are you okay?” 😂😂😂
I’d love to hear her speak on her perception of the impact her dad’s work had on a whole generation of humans. I wish she was there to really see the magic that took place on an entire culture because of him. It. Was. Epic. 💛
I'm a few years younger than your Dad. As an 80s kid I love talking about the "analog" era vs. "digital". Great topic, ladies!
Why am I so obsessed with this podcast? Also I learn lots of new words from her . Thank you so much for making your podcast so entertaining and informative ❤️❤️🥺🙏.

The first shady story…😂MG!!!! We were rolling!
That question about where does the voice go in the phones tripped me out Lol
I get that she wants to build her own brand, but that shouldn’t mean staying away from stuff about her dad like she does. The fact is there are thousands, perhaps millions of girls just like her who could talk about college and hobbies. The one thing that makes her stand out from the crowd is she is Eminem’s daughter! Hello?! That’s huge. She should harness that and use it. It’s what makes her unique. Us plebeians, when we are applying for a job or something, always talk about “use the thing that makes you stand out” or “try to show them you’re different from the rest” when doing an interview or resume. She should do that
@KLee1028

@@KLee1028 Yeah but it is what makes her stand out whether she wants that or not. There are thousands of women with great personalities but they don't have the benefit of being Eminem's daughter, so they wouldn't stand a chance becoming big podcasters. She should take the leg up that life has given her and lean into it. Talk about childhood memories, breakfast with Eminem etc. etc. That's what people are looking for anyhow or they will probably lose interest. Doesn't have to be all she talks about, but she avoids it and because of that she is avoiding the one thing that sets her apart.

girl, I literally understand he's your dad, I'd feel weird people asking about my dad. the relationship u have with him is completely different to ours with him. he literally saved my life growing up. he came out when I was 15 and I never would be alive today without his music giving me the strength to get up and keep going. a lot of people relate to him and he raised us too in a way. so we enjoy hearing about him as he is a private person ❤️ I watch this for u though, I'm generally interested in u as your own person, so thank you for making this podcast 🥰❤️
omggg 10min i have alwaaaysss wondered thissss!!!!!!! it's mindblowing haha. you're so inquisitive and bright Hailie!
My grandpa lived to 96 and passed away two years ago and towards the end it was getting a little rougher the bathroom became an issue, accidents happen, and needing help with personal things and I feel like if you can do everything yourself it’s OK but once people are having to like get in there and wipe for you and you’re falling a lot it’s just not really the quality of life that you’d want. I think at that point if people have to wipe me I am OK heading out.
😂1st of all I’m old enough to be y’all’s Mama for real. I struggle with technology but my husband is a software developer and VOIP engineer. Your phone question is 💯 something I’ve asked him in the past so that was amazing THANK YOU!! Oh and he explained it but I saw a dog so I don’t know how it works to this very day.
Technology truly is magical. Regarding your voice, it gets encoded from "analog" sound waves into a digital representation that computers can understand "0111010" etc. Computers pass your message over the internet (which is a series of connected networks, from your phone -> home router -> ISP -> external internet -> their router -> their phone), and at the final hop it typically gets converted back into sound waves. It's fascinating how it works, especially when you look into lossy audio formats and Fast Fourier transforms applied to audio. Interestingly if you remember dial up internet connections, you could hear the modems connecting as physical sound. I loved the point of growing up in a time where people learned to adapt to technology as it progressed. Technology is exponentially changing, and it's rapidly getting more and more advanced. At the end of the day, while technology feels magical it is just physics and human inventions. No one understands how every bit of technology functions, but if we make technology modular and connected we can progress humanity forward. Loved the pod, interesting topics for sure!
How did u turn out to be such an angel down to earth genuinely good person ❤ your dad and mum did an amazing job considering how hugggge your dad is❤ I mean hes my god he got me thru my hardest time lyrical genius ❤I mean I know it must get old to hear that to 😅 love your podcast not gana miss an episode ❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
Your dad feels like many peoples second dad, that’s why me and so many people have questions regarding him and your life…in the mean time your stories and personality is golden, and I would listen either way, if talk about Marshall or not
It must be super tough on you to be consistently questioned about your Dad. I get it I am sure you do as well but still it’s gotta be super hard. Your podcast is great keep it up !
Watching from Papua New Guinea. Love this
I feel so cozy watching this
Yes as much as loving Haillie and the little shady podcast for what it is, many of us are interested in hearing about her personal life. However that is a big thing to open up about, her dad has spent years not discussing family life; let her do what she wants in her own time.
EXCELLENT shady stories this week. Holy crap, each one got better. That mother daughter combo the best so far, easily 15/10. I hope you do more than 1 question for your ask me anything segment. One's not enough, it feels a bit pointless like that. In terms of handling your dad queations, i think you're doing a great job of letting your own personality come through, and that will grow (you're only starting out right now. We've known OF you, but not known YOU). But questions and curiosity about him are to be expected. I view it as, anything thats personal or prying into him, HE will decide whether that becomes public knowledge or not (theres probably a lot he wants to keep private and protected for himself so he gets to decide how much to share with that kind of thing) But anything that is about YOUR experience, YOUR understanding or not understanding, your likes dislikes or how you viewed things or events.....thats fair game. Your life will naturally have those differences, and they are your experiences to talk about, so i think its fair to ask about.
I like to think of myself as close to Stan as one could be so always a huge fan of Em and I can’t help just smile when seeing Haley do her thing.
Guys I appreciate the podcast and the nerd side you tapped in ! It would be awesome if u can put some “topic related time stamps “ in the description box so that we can hop thru the video on basis of what we relate to ! Like everybody does that ! And i look forward to see some more videos from you guys ! ❤ Alpha
What I want to hear her talk about is what it was like growing up with a famous parent and if she thought it was all normal and when did she realize that her dad was famous and if she wishes they grew up living a normal life. Also what do people not realize about being related to someone famous, I'm sure it's not all peaches and roses.

No they don't if she'd died in London she'd have stayed in London only reason she was in Scotland was because she died here
I can die happy is she just explains to us the path of the reality hitting her and growing stronger.
I think I cry from laughter at least once an episode 😂👏🏻
Not Hailie saying if I lose my memory just get rid of me 😂💀
I am Eminem fan I won't lie but I learn if I'm following her daughter podcast I don't need to ask her questions about her dad, Hallie deserve her own spotlight.
Of course I was drawn to your channel because of your dad. And I was like oh man I’m too old for this podcast lol. I’m married with 3 kids and one is almost your age lol. But this is a great channel! I really enjoy it great job 👏. Also I’m from Chicago and have never heard of foo-ling but again I’m old lol
If I had just one question to you that was related to your dad at all, it would be your perspective on the events leading up to December 24th, 2007. I understand if it's too close to home or something you don't really want to talk about. But it's just something that I think you and your sisters have a very unique perspective on, and hearing your thoughts on what happened that day (and leading up to that day) would be very insightful
Hailie your like royalty. Hail to the queen👑

So, this will be a very basic rundown of the whole cell phone thing. I do computer work for a living, but all you really NEED to know is this: When you talk into the microphone (either on the phone or on the podcast) the sound waves that your voice makes get picked up and converted into a digital signal in most cases. There are some edge cases where the signal stays analog (mainly used in studios, idk what kind of mic you're using, but some studio mics keep an analog signal while recording that is converted later, as people say it offers better quality) but, for a basic Android or iPhone call it digitizes it. The best way to simplify it is to say that analog signals have a range between 0 and 1, and a digital signal has not range in between, just 0 and 1. That signal is then encoded with some information, like the account making the call, the account receiving the call, and, in some cases, an encryption key. The signal is then transmitted to the tower, from the transceiver on the phone, (or, antenna, in the case of older phones) decoded, information checked, encoded, and sent off to the phone that has the account receiving tag. The processors on the phones (and in the towers) can do all of that in less than a second. Obviously very basic, and if I'm being honest, when it comes to the advanced stuff, like how do they keep increasing bandwidth on the same bands, or even how it is that at one time, there were only like, 10 cell phones max, allowed to be connected to any one tower, it throws me for a loop.
You girls get more impressive with each and every podcast! Pagers to huge cell phones the late 80s and early 90s were the best years to grow up!
