It's just like Em and Sway are just having a normal conversation, and not an interview. I mean they are close friends, so it's probably why it seems that way.

Love this part when Em said: "Hip Hop was the most important thing that empowered me as a kid. It made me feel tough when I wasn't. I just wanna say the song Beautiful saved my life in high school. I hit a socially awkward/depressed phase where I felt like I didn’t belong. This is very true in my own experiences during the years of my life where I did nothing but work and play in death metal bands. I did 6 months in county for a Marijuana dui and didn't have a drum set. I needed to do something musical to keep my spirits up and stay out of the politics so I just started writing songs. Being in the hole for 2 months for fighting was where i was the most creative I ever was and where the ideas and words just came out of me when I put pencil to paper. It just happened to be the time in my life where I felt the most anger and alone. When I got home and writing turned into a hobby and I was generally very happy again it started hitting me. "Oh this is why my favorite musicians produced IMO their best stuff when they were depressed, angry, addicted, heart broken, etc." It almost seems like a paradox however I do really believe pain breeds creativity in a way other emotional states just can't.

Eminem is genius. The way he dropped Kamikaze and MTBMB without any press or promotion - and the fact he has enough power and presence to do that. He's figured out a way to avoid the insane unfair backlash his work gets from critics and "fans" even before the work is released. Man's a legend.

I first heard Em as a 7 year old when he was at the height of his career. I was immediately in love listening to shit I shouldn’t have been listening to at that age. I’ve followed Em through his career, sobriety, and seeing him as a respected OG in hip hop is something I’ll always smile about. Kids today have no idea how he influential he really was and when I hear kids talk negatively I implore them to just do some research. Em you’re loved and have a crazy loyal fan base.

Daryl Seldon ; BEING THRU SOBERNESS MYSELF TO YOUR COMMENT THE REASON EMINEM looked like that when he 1st hit sobriety is because when you are first sober your still not mentally or physically in the normal sense of clearness, all of your emotions are now out front like a sound board everything from paranoia to feelings are uncontrollably turned up all at the same time making it hard very to equalize them in composer such as an interview it talked months up to a year to get back to control of those sobriety emotions both physically and mentally. Now that times gone by he does have his control which is Great In all absolute.

11 years later, he's just as confident as ever :) 11 years of sobriety as he said in Zeus :) Congrats to him by the way, being 11 years sober must have been a hard journey, and especially during the early years of his sobriety as well.

If you’re talking about like when he did Berzerk and on ESPN did that blank stare face, that’s the Berzerk face. It’s inspired by Ad Rocks face from the Pass The Mic video. If you’re not talking about that, then yeah that’s sometimes what people look like after getting sober. You’re refiguring out literally everything. When I got sober I forgot how to make a bowl of cereal. That’s not a joke. I walked into the kitchen to make a bowl of cereal and couldn’t remember how. Step 1; get bowl, took me like 7 minutes to remember.

Seems like a simple conversation. But it’s all Hollywood paid for, makeup and retakes. This is not even a little bit uncensored. Complete opposite but hey I’m not hating. @sean albee I’ll be honest you. I’m high so I skipped after the first paragraph. But, I agree. I have anger issues. My mom does - my dad did. I believe in being an hinest person tho. Like, I have said this so many times. It’s not just what’s on my mind. Yea sure I’m thinking about it. But it takes two to tango. I can’t have a reaction without your action first. Other wise I’m called a psycho and thrown in a ward. I believe most of our problems stem from neural linguistics programming. Check it out sometime. I am studying this now. I’m only 15 and ever since I was a child my dad would blast Eminem I’m the car and ask me if I knew what any of them meant and I would sit there like “it’s just songs..” but I as I grew up I understood how godly of a story teller Eminem really is and I got invested in understand the meanings behind these amazing songs.

You can tell by this conversation Eminem is very intelligent. He thinks deep and sees beyond the surface probably because of all the hardship he went through growing up. I love you Em!!

It's not really his vibe, because he's not the most active on social media, and even in his early years, he stated that he doesn't want the fame and money (even though we know he has all that), but he just wanted to do this for improving the craft. But when he does go on interviews, it gives me life :) Plus, hearing him talk and sounding really intelligent when people think he's not is relieving :)

When Em talks about how that feeling of anger gives him a little bit of joy from it, that's why I connected with his music. 20 years ago as a kid. I was angry I didn't have the perfect home or the foundation to make something of myself. I was just an angry kid with no answers and no ambition or idols. Through Eminem's music I found drive and a reason to turn the tables on my situation. Guts over fear, weakness's to strengths and freedom to help others find a similar path. He is an artist and he has helped me paint my life.
