The whole methanol thing confuses a lot of people here. It's not common in the US. Not like Aussie land. I'm trying to help people understand. Also applies to not needing an intercooler with a turbo.

@@chevy383jt You are correct, nobody uses methanol in the US, people use something called E85, ohh wait E85 is Ethanol (85%) ( yes I know Ethanol and Methanol is not technically the same substance, but in this instance they are used interchangeably, for the same purpose ) and E85 is sold at most corner gas stations, so alcohol is used MUCH more then you think.

@@jesperdahl1486 Yeah, I don't have a flex fuel system, so I don't pay attention to what gas stations have it. It doesn't seem to be available at a lot of the stations in my area.

I'm just proud of them for actually hooking up the turbo oil feed line before cranking it over this time 🤣

When you consider the new engine isn't new and is payed for itself and that they made every upgrade a little at a time there was a smaller 76 mm I think then they went with engine after engine after engine till Texas speed made them a 5.3 that would last then they put the powerglide in there somewhere between engine 3.0 to turbo kit 2.0 on then came the sec bigger turbo after the new ecu I think but before the bolt on rear and front frame pieces and the coil over conversion so on a budget ya maybe but it was one hell of a budget. But this new engine paid for it did its job and what they asked of it now it gets to rip Ruby for a while till there is just no more life in her I think you should let me make you a case for it so you can put it on display in the breezeway at the freedom factory somewhere after Ruby is done with it that is

Holley rocks! Or at least they did years ago. I was trying to dial in a 600cfm 4011 series on my original Monza V8 (262.5ci or 4.3L) and the accelerator shooters were too big. Called them up and they transferred me to a guy. Asked me what I was trying to do and what it was going on. I asked if I could *buy* a undrilled primary booster Venturi because I wanted to put smaller nozzle shooters in it. He said: " That engine and that cam is a combination I've never seen before!" "Yeah I used the older 600s and could tune them with the replaceable shooters, cams, clipped secondary springs, etc. Had to dial everything down a little. What I want to do is put the smaller nozzle shooters in this one". He says: "Wait a minute". So he comes back and asks for my address. "Ok, how much is the part?" I'm gonna send you two that have only been drilled partway if you can drill the outside part straight and to size for the nozzle". "So how much?" " Free, man. I designed that carb and that's something we never thought of!"

B P , Why do you need to see his pad (house). He has a young family. He doesn't have to show anybody his house. And if he does show people his personal home, some people will work out where it is and he will have fanboys turning up unannounced like they have at the shop. Just because you watch him almost every day of the week and it may seam like you know him. He deserves to be left alone. Especially in is own home. He doesn't know any of the creepers that would just show up. Plus inside his home is his space he doesn't have to give no one a walk through.

Yeah he is a smart dude. They have all come far tho. From what I understand the Freedom Factory belongs to all 3 of them. Maybe I misunderstood but I believe they were in it together. Cleetus is just a made up character. When you think of cleetus, you already acknowledge all 3

No disrespect to Coop but James makes every thing Cleet thinks of physically possible. Coops sells t-shirts of what James has built! Yep! Steel will generally grow by about 1 thou per 100 degrees. So heat it up to 700 and you give yourself about 7thou of space for an interference fit.

Hey Freedom Eagles! Far be it for me to leave a negative comment but I just "have" to say James' turbo kit welding is sooo much better. I love Ruby. I haven't watched the Cleetus channel all that long but when a video about how you got Ruby appeared in KZread's video suggestions I watched it. Since then I've seen every video in Ruby's progression. Can't get enough, I want to see Ruby GO! I'm not usually a fan of Corvettes, I'm more of a Camaro guy, but because if Ruby's backstory and what she has accomplished - in spite of Cleetus' rookie tuning - she deserves to be treated right. 👍🇺🇲 FF!

He already addressed this. He said he doesn't like driving leeroy because it takes the whole crew to do a run with it. He can't street drive it. Planned on putting a charging system back on the car, and increasing coolant system so he can street drive it.

remember when you first bought that thing and were so disappointed it had a truck motor? You cared less about it's look and more about getting it consistently down the track and that is awesome! I hope this setup is reliable and more power!!

Definately a lot cleaner looking , love the new turbo setup. Once father time has a tutu with it she'll def be in the 7s, cant wait! Put a small front aero wing, like maybe 2 angry eyebrow lookn small scoops, on leroy and they'll be battling for gold!!! Whatever u do, hell yeah brother! 🤘

No they aren’t going 1/8 mile the goal is to work on the 1/8 because it’s extremely lacking compared to a lot of the stick shift competition.

Fixing the 330 ( biggest problem ) will more than likely fix the car walking on the big end so it’ll do better on the top end. For along time it was just add power now it’s make it go straight without fighting it to death.

My car has the same brand radiator, so I basically have a 7 second car.

I've been a mechanic for over 20 years... That's the way I put most balancer's on also ,,,NEAVER has a prob long as U get it up on the crank far enough before you put an impact on it....Workes Great!!!

In 2 more years that turbo is going to be mounted 3 feet in front of the car.

He has said he plans to do a solid swap at some point. With new turbo it might be sooner rather than later now. Although, turbos don't hit nearly as hard down low as nitrous does. Turbos ramp up differently. Nitrous tends to be more all at once type deals.

TheManistheshit i was thinking the same. I was thinking he needs to put a slipper clutch like Leroy’s while he’s at it to go a little easier on those axles while at the same time getting great 60 foots.
