Firefighter Trapped in Burning Building Collapse | Victory Baptist Church | Los Angeles CA

A devastating fire burned through the Victory Baptist Church in Los Angeles in the early morning hours of Sunday 09/11/22.
LAFD Firefighters responded to a possible fire call at 4802 S. McKinley Avenue. Upon arrival they found the structure on fire. The brave firefighters went to work on putting out the flames.
The roof of the structure caved in trapping 2 firefighters. Lafd was able to quickly extract one firefighter, but a second one was trapped in the blaze. Fortunately they were able to rescue the second firefighter after being trapped in the rubble.
The church structure is a complete loss. The injured firefighters looked to be able to escape with non life threating injuries.
This footage is raw and shows the danger these men and women put themselves in the noble cause to protect people and property.

Coming up on 10 years as a firefighter and although knowing the nature of our culture, there's going to be laughs about it in the future when everyone's good but it still always hits a spot when you see a brother like that. Wishing them boys a speedy recovery. My brother's and sisters are why I do what I do and in some cases, they're why my daughters get to see their daddy come home at night.

May I ask you what would be the "fun" in this? As a firefighter, since more then 10 years, as it seems important to you. To loose a fellow firefighter is nothing that we want to do.. OUR lives are more important then the building or even lives in that building. One thing that American firefighters can learn is that "if it too hot for us, it is too hot for them"

I have been a firefighter for 25 years and if you think what you saw was acceptable risk verse benefit do me a favour and retire. What you just saw was a total disregard for the safety of those firefighters by the command section. There was ZERO benefit to be interior on a building that was 100% lost.
