Yeah it's a tough dirty job. When I was a kid I thought it was super glamorous, then as an adult I realized it's mostly just construction demolition with a chance of burning alive

I hope the firefighter that caught fire is alright and not too seriously hurt. I know what damage fire can do to a human. Greatest respect for firefighters ambulance staff and police officers for the job you’re doing day in and day out.

Those are heroes recorded on video. This is how they look like. Even in danger they know what to do.

Breakdown: Buddy tried starting it for like 2 mins straight, figured it was out of gas , undid cap was waiting for someone to fill it, goes and helps doing something else, someone else grabs it and gets it started without realizing cap is off. Sparks and open gas tanks don't mix.

I'm guessing that they have the same issue as the chain saws have were the tank can get pressureized and he opened it and it got all over him and cought a spark for the other guy with the saw on rewatching the saw that was down was still by the doorway this was one of the 2 saws that took out the window it was FF 78 the guy on the left at least he wasn't hurt see him later with the ladder

If you observe the position of the two men attempting to help the man in fire, you can clearly see that the guy with the extinguisher is blocked by the man in fire. The guy with the hose didn’t see the other guy had an extinguisher. When the extinguisher guy backs away, you can see his leg still on fire, and likely his ass is still on fire. Think about the angles you can’t see in this.

Calm and collected while almost losing your balls. True professionalism.

It's crazy to me how good the PPE is. When I was a firefighter, I responded to a garage fire, we made entry, but the garage was waist deep in junk. Barely any visibility and focusing on where the main fire was (the ceiling) I didn't realize I was standing in smoldering debris. All I felt was slight heat, no pain.

The firefighters are courageous, but we should also acknowledge the engineers that designed and researched the materials used in those uniforms because it's an incredible task to isolate heat from the firefighter's legs for so long.

Having people creating and supplying proper equipment is extremely important in allowing these brave professionals perform their tasks. Without these people behind them, there is only so much you can do without getting your face set on fire and dying. Again, not trying to understate the importance of the brave, strong firefighters. Your comment exposes your lack of knowledge. *IF* you use the decompression valve, and *IF* you start it on the ground and don't try a drop start, a K950 will start on the second pull 100% of the time. Rarely do I see people start them properly, because they just don't now. Peace brother.

@@hardanalljr.3138 Well, not that one. We watched a career firefighter ineffectively gain entry because he flooded the saw. That's pathetic. So blaming the saw was irritating to me. I have been a firefighter for 29 years, and I strongly believe that training matters. I often hear people complain that K saws are hard to start, but a 12 year old can start them if they know the proper way. When you're starting a saw on a fireground, seconds always count.

Well damn. Didn’t know somewhere local burned down two years ago. I do wanna thank the brave men where for their efforts.

The firefighter was fighting the fire and the fire decided to fight the firefighter with its fiery fire.

I know they're trained in case this sorta thing happens but you have gotta love how he just walks over like. "Aw shucks not again."

@@elitehaxxor8025 Love does not save us, there are countries where we barely receive help from the government, we do not receive even a coin, I am not saying that they pay us for what we do, but if we need help to buy necessary things, it is easier for firefighters from big countries, but those of us from smaller countries and in my case from a village can barely have things and the risk is greater, it would be great if the government could provide us with more things for the safety of us and the people affected. Obviously we are very grateful for the love they have for us, but it is exhausting how places in cities have great things and we have to pay for them 100% out of our pocket, it is not cheap at all, I just got out of school and I have to get money from anywhere. :(

@@elitehaxxor8025 Not from the state and county government, they are some of the most underfunded. We have firefighters coming in from third world countries with equipment and training that makes our shit look like it's from the 1800s.

It's amazing how many chain and circular saws don't start on the first few pulls. In olden days, we had to test them weekly and if they took more than a couple of pulls on the fireground, someone was hearing about it.

calculating mathemathically theres about 1 firefighter per thousand people and i see 7 of them, meaning there'd be a 7/1000 chance of there being a firefighter. Somehow, defying all statistics, there were not only 1 but 2 firefighters helping him about. Very lucky
