I'd really like to know if it'd be possible to A: Get ahold of a VR setup for Jonathan to actually see the game firsthand, and/or B: Get Anton, the developer of H3VR, in on one of these conversations somehow. Both would be great - Going by his devlog videos, Anton also seems like an incredibly bright and passionate person with a real interest in details and unusual curiosities, and it'd be interesting to hear what he would suggest if he was asked to showcase some of the more peculiar things in his game.

What blows my mind is that there's a lot of guns in H3VR where it's actually the first and only official media appearance of any kind for those guns. Like with the French Union, for example.
Pretty sure the H3VR EM2 is the same as the fallout 4 mod because they're made by the same 3D artist. Also big fan of the horseshoe magazine pistol in a game called hot dogs horseshoes and hand grenades.

The horseshoe-shaped mag did not get past the dev. He mentioned in the devlog for the gun's addition that he had to have it for that reason. It's also called the Union pistol from France which I find easy to remember because of the U-shaped mag.
H3VR is the most underrated sim there is. It's the most accurate firearms sim, and the most detailed. Anton and his team over at Rust LTD are true passionate masters in the VR space. Light years above any game dev in the industry imo. Name one game studio that puts out brand new content, for free, every week to every month for the last 7 years.

It's probably been said by others before, but I really enjoy the bits in these newer episodes where Jonathan and Dave talk about the gun or game a bit. That Lewis assault rifle is beautiful, and Ive never seen it before which is rare for me! I love this game.
One day Johnathan needs to get in VR and try the game out. Would be a hoot.
One of my favorite things about H3VR is the absolutely mind-boggling variety of firearms that Anton takes the time to simulate in interesting ways. I think some of my favorites are the obscure antique guns we got last year during the holiday season, like the Stevens Model 124C shotgun or Savage 99 rifle. They're just so much fun to operate and fire because the manual of arms is so much more unique than the modern "press mag release, insert fresh magazine, operate bolt if chamber empty" rigamarole.

Pushing as always for you guys to have Jonathan cover Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and to cover the M8 and MRI Caseless specifically as well. I have been posting for you to do this in every video a year back now.
So, while he was talking about the EM-2, I randomly decided to pause the video and check if Fallout London is released yet (I had actually forgotten that this weapon is in that, it was brought on by another thought). Just as I tab back into the video, he mentions Fallout London. Strange coincidence, that.

Yes! I absolutely love seeing H3 every time you guys cover it, I feel like you could easily make an entire series just about the guns of this game! I'm still holding out hope that you'll do the Killzone series of games some day too. Really interesting weapon designs and I think Johnathan would enjoy.
Just as I’m loading up H3VR! This was very well timed!

Great timing John, you really really ought to play this game
I would really love to see a reaction to the division 2 and their guns. Especially the exotic weapons. You could probably get 5-15 episodes out of that one game.
Really love the two man crew that this has become.
i hope jonathan reacts to meat fortress guns in hotdogs horseshoes and hand grenades, because the person behind it tried to make sense out of the unrealistic reloads in tf2
It’s kind of crazy how much the developers must know about guns and of course how funny they are to add some silly twists to some guns.
How long until Anton responds to this video like "Please? Let's work together, make H3 the official game of the Royal Armouries Museum!"

It's not JUST Anton, he does do the overwhelming majority of the work but he collaborates with others on audio and most of the gun models are either existing models he's bought, models he's commissioned specifically for the game or models he's been given (like the TF2 guns Valve gave him). The other Rust guys, I think there are five in total do contribute too but nowhere near what Anton does.
@bradthejew

@@n_tas Anton also does some of his own modelling work. The TF2 models that Valve gave him were made for flat screen and were basically unusable for VR, and he ended up doing a lot of work to have the models look good for VR. I also remember him talking about how occasionally he'll find missing parts for gun models that he bought, so he has to take the time modelling those areas and fixing the gun, or needing to cut the model up in order to have the moving parts he wants. He's extremely talented, as are the people who help him.

It would be cool to see Jonathan reacting to the guns of Warframe and the gun customization of H3VR, like the barrel extenders and other things
I was watching the most recent devlog by Anton (the devoloper of H3VR) and I noticied something: he has Thorneycroft to SA80 (the first edition no less) so, it is possible for the EM-2 to be based on the one in the Armouries.
Whoo, some more love for Welrod!
I owned a Bushmaster M17S years ago. In internal working that kept it semiautomatic were worn out so you’d get a two or three round burst at least once every magazine.
The way Jonathan treats the EM-2 makes me think he absolutely DESPISES the M14.
Oooh! Now I really want him to do Into the Radius too

I want to see a collab video with Johnathan Ferguson and other guntubers like Ian McCollum, Kentucky Ballistics, Brandon Herrera, and Demolition Ranch.
That's a major mechanic of silencers in the later Metal Gear games. They wear out over time and need to be replaced.
Anyone else consider buying his book once they noticed they have a signed version? A book singed by THE Jonathan Ferguson, the keeper of Firearms and Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK!?
I wish to have this mans job. I get to sit and nerd out as i look at historical firearma.
I get the feeling Jonathan heard the word girder slightly before this video came out, and remembered it was a cool sounding word.

The speed of the weapon actions are dependent on your framerate, and VR is usually capped at a low FPS, which causes the sluggish appearance.
@CM-lr7tf

What? No. VR usually has a high frame rate to reduce motion sickness, generally 90Hz at minimum. The sluggish appearance is most likely just an aesthetic choice.
