This song is a continuation of their Apex album which tells the story of the immortal who was awoken by the Matriarch to hunt down her sons for her so she can sacrifice them for eternal life, The immortal sleeps in a mountain but Abyss changes the setting to space, like he was asleep so long that he awakens on a space ship like the song says "my mountain is gone, im surrounded by steel". The ethereal being at the end is supposed to be the matriarch having lived so long it seems like she lived so long she became a god like figure lol

just an add on to this.. this is a covid video.. they could only have 6 people in the area at a time.. and they only had a 2500 dollar budget.. so they did what they could to tie into the last album .. i think they did a pretty good job .. buy yup .. you kinda have to have the story in memory, tc n be safe

I agree with your comments, except for the part about her vocals at the end. While she wasn't doing any high notes at the end, she was holding some really really really long notes at the end. Serious breath control, and then she transitioned into that head voice and held that for a long time and it was so smooth? Perfect. It would've been nice if she went a little higher though.

This video would make the best shampoo commercial of all time. Just sayin'. Also Abyss (the album) is a masterpiece, as was Apex. My favorite track is probably The Wind That Shapes the Land.

Fire. I can't wait for this album to drop 21 August 2020. 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥 The guy playing guitar on the first part of the solo is Andrew Kingsley -- the second guy is Grant Truesdell. And speaking of the guitars, bro, they take music influences from bands like DragonForce (who, incidentally, they were touring with when COVID hit back in March). DragonForce should sound familiar to you, if you ever played Guitar Hero III, as their song "Through the Fire and Flames" was the ultra-hard, extra song at the end of that game. And at the end, the guy is mopping the floor from where the song started. And, bit of trivia, the guy mopping was actually the video director! Lol
