I tried to speak as naturally as possible (speed, intonation & amount of puhekieli) so that it would be as similar to real life! :) If you need to make the speech slower - just change the "Playback speed" in the video settings!

Is it available for Mac book?
The “hau hau” is on another level 🤣🤣
These are so helpful! Thank you so much!
I very like your videos with dual subtitles. Feels like this is one of the best ways to learn. The blogs or exercises like this. Thank you! Please, do more of this!

Noted! :)
You did an amazing job! Thank you! It seems like you've hit the right balance between natural sounding spoken language and something that is still usable for pedagogic purposes. Very cool

Wow, thank you!
Many thanks for the video. I learnt some new words and I knew I have to practice my listening skill - I had to listen a few times to understand 😅
I realized that I probably have been paying too much attention to reading rather than listening lol. When the Finnish subtitles came up then I found that I could understand nearly everything but without it I was lost. Guess I know what I should work on then
this is really, really helpful, thank you :). Oh and your dog impesonations are really cute!!

Kiitos paljon...Hyvaa paivaa💜😊
Nice, kiitos paljon
Dear Kat, really good, very helpful, a good level for where I am presently at. That is to say, just a little beyond complete beginner, several hundred words, but struggling mightily with the cases. Your voice is clear and accessible.

And finally I got the difference between "bussissa" and "bussilla" (because my friend says "bussilla" - by bus, and "bussissa" - physically in the bus, right?) Thank you for that too, learnt really a lot from this video!

Indeed "bussissa" means "in the bus", as in inside. But I'm not sure how it is used here. The expression "... kestää vielä bussissa" [6:34] is translated as "... the bus will still take". Maybe the literal translation is something like "... still take in the bus", as he is still handling the "catching the bus" issue. Maybe with extended meaning would be "... kestää vielä bussissa ongelmassa".

Yeah exactly, so "kestää vielä bussissa" would translate directly to "[how many minutes did the friend say will it still] take in the bus" so busissa is physically IN the bus. Bussilla is by bus :)

YAYYY THAT’S AWESOME!! 🤩🤩
My method's always been: listen repeatedly as long as I think I can solve it. With this kind of thing though, I don't give up till I have it. I just have my own inner dialogue to listen to though in english to keep me going until I feel it switch, and then I'm there, once again.
Kiitos paljon! Thank you for the video and explanation how to practice listening. Actually I understood more in the dialogue with Sidney because I know many doggo words :) And I like the picture of Sidney! I have a real problem. I can't distinguish A and Ä when you speak faster! I watched your old video about sounds again and trying to figure out the difference. Probably because I am Russian and we have only one sound like "E" in our language, I don't seem to pronounce "cat" or "hat" in English completely correctly :( Of course I am practicing! Thank you for advertising Wondershare PDFelement, it looks very useful!

When you said that in Russian you only have one E sound, I guess you are referring to the letter Э, right

I think the vowel sound on the Russian word ПЯТЬ. comes pretty close to the Finnish Ä sound.

@@manfredneilmann4305 Thank you! I will continue practicing Right, I am referring to letter Э (Е is two sounds after vowels and in the beginning of words - Й (Finnish J) and Э... as I was taught in the 3rd grade)
3.17 Etsin leipätyyppeja - pitko, limppu, mitkä muut?
is this the spoken version?

Yeah I tried to speak as authentically to real life as possible!
Halusin nää pitkään aikaan. Puhekieli on myös hyödyllinen.
He tilaavat pizza ja hampurilainen. Nainen etsii leipää. Nainen ja koira menee metsään. 15 minuttia.

That was boring but if you add kind of animation. That would be better but you tried.

Haha I mean of course that would make it more fun but unfortunately I don’t have the skills for that nor the money to hire someone to do it for me xD But oh well, if people plan to take the YKI test they will have a listening bit without any visuals so good to practice like this too :p
